Product Usage Instructions

To use the Infuser, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the Infuser is properly closed and pushed backward for secure placement.
2. If the water runs out, refill the water tank and push it backward to restart the pump. Keep the original capsule holder in a safe and easily accessible place.
3. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be done by children under 8 years old unless supervised by an adult.
4. Avoid inserting anything into the openings of the device.
5. Do not hold the capsule holder directly over a pacemaker or defibrillator.
6. Keep the capsule holder away from the reach of children.
7. For cleaning, the Infuser is suitable for dishwasher cleaning.

INTRODUCTION

This instruction will guide you in the use of the SPECIAL.T® Infuser, a SPECIAL.T® capsules adaptor for NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machines Please read this manual carefully, including the safety precautions. It describes how best to use your SPECIAL.T® Infuser.

WARNING

• The device must be properly closed 3 and pushed to the end to ensure the machine head can be closed. 4 – 5
• The SPECIAL.T® Infuser must only be used with hot water.7
• Always remove the capsule from the SPECIAL.T® Infuser after the preparation.

TROUBLESHOOTING
In case you run out of water, you need to use the original NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine capsule holder to restart the pump. Always keep the original capsule holder in a safe place where you can easily find it.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Read all instructions and keep these safety instructions. Any type of misuse of the SPECIAL.T® Infuser may result in a potential injury.
In case of inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee may not apply. Refer to the instructions manual of your NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine as they apply at all times, even when using the SPECIAL.T® Infuser. This instruction manual describes specificities of using the SPECIAL.T® Infuser.

INTENDED USE
The SPECIAL.T® Infuser is compatible with the following NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machines: INFINISSIMA®, INFINISSIMA® Touch, GENIO® S, GENIO® S Plus, GENIO® S Touch, PICCOLO®, PICCOLO® XS, MINIME®. Your SPECIAL.T® Infuser is not compatible with all NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine. Do not try to force your SPECIAL.T® Infuser into your machine. Make sure your SPECIAL.T® Infuser is compatible with the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine you own.

SAFETY AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Patients with pacemakers or defibrillators: Do not hold the capsule holder directly over the pacemaker or defibrillator.
2. The SPECIAL.T® Infuser is not a toy and children should not play with it. Keep it away from the reach of children.
3. The SPECIAL.T® Infuser is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Persons who have a limited or no understanding of the operation and use of this appliance must first read and fully understand the contents of the user manual, and where appropriate seek additional guidance on its operation and use from the person responsible for their safety.
4. Do not remove hot capsules by hand. Always use the SPECIAL.T® Infuser to dispose of used capsules.
5. Do not insert your fingers into the SPECIAL.T® Infuser as it contains a sharp injector needle that can cause injury.
6. After use of the SPECIAL.T® Infuser, always remove and throw away the capsule, and clean the SPECIAL.T® Infuser. Do not leave a used SPECIAL.T® capsule in the SPECIAL.T® Infuser. The SPECIAL.T® Infuser is suitable for dishwasher cleaning.
7. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised by an adult.
8. The SPECIAL.T® Infuser is equipped with permanent magnets. Avoid placing the capsule holder near appliances and objects that can be damaged by magnetism, e.g. credit cards, USB drives and other data devices, video tapes, television and computer monitors with picture tubes, mechanical clocks, hearing aids and loud speakers.

USAGE

USAGE AND MAINTENANCE

1. We recommend using the SPECIAL.T® capsules with the SPECIAL.T® Infuser. They were designed to interact together – the interaction provides the in-cup quality that SPECIAL.T® is known for. Each capsule is designed to prepare a perfect cup, and cannot be reused.
2. Never use the cold (ambient) function of the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine to prepare beverages with the SPECIAL.T® Infuser. Always use the hot water dispensing function of the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine to prepare beverages with the SPECIAL.T® Infuser.
3. Make sure the SPECIAL.T® Infuser is properly closed (with the “click” signal) before inserting it in the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine. Never try to insert an opened SPECIAL.T® Infuser into a machine.
4. Always keep the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine capsule holder. If you run out of water during a beverage preparation with the SPECIAL.T® Infuser, you will need it to be able to restart your machine.
5. In case you run out of water during beverage preparation, please remove the SPECIAL.T® Infuser (do not remove the SPECIAL.T® capsule and do not open the SPECIAL.T® Infuser), take away your cup, insert the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® capsule holder, fill-up the water tank with fresh, clean water and rinse the machine (use the rinsing tool provided with your NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine capsule holder) until water starts running out. Then remove the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® capsule holder and re-insert the SPECIAL.T® Infuser as well as the beverage cup previously extracted. Re-start your tea preparation by using the hot extraction feature. In this case you will need to stop extraction manually once the desired amount of tea is reached.
6. In order to ensure your SPECIAL.T® Infuser will always deliver a perfect cup and works optimally, make sure it is descaled regularly (Every 3 months together with your NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machine).
7. Any operation, cleaning and care other than normal use must be undertaken by after-sales service centers designated by the SPECIAL.T® club. Do not dismantle the SPECIAL.T® infuser nor the NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® appliance and do not put anything into openings.
