INTRODUCTION

To achieve the utmost in enjoyment and performance, and in order to become familiar with its features, please read this manual carefully before attempting to operate this product. Before using this device read the instruction manual and follow the instructions inside. The manufacturer is not liable for any damages caused by the misuse of this device due to inappropriate handling. Please keep this manual for future reference.

This device is for domestic use only. Do not use for any other purposes.

The device should only be connected to an earthed socket with values corresponding to the values on the rating label. It is necessary to check, if total current consumption of all devices plugged into the wall outlet does not exceed the fuse in the circuit.

If you are using an extension cord, make sure that the total power consumption of the equipment plugged into the extension cord does not exceed the extension cord power rating. Extension cords should be arranged in such a way as to avoid tripping hazards.

Make sure the cable is grounded, 3-cores with a socket and an earth cable.

Do not let cord hang over edge of counter, or touch any hot surface.

The device is not designed to be controlled via an external timer, separate remote control, or other equipment that can turn the device on automatically.

Before maintenance work always disconnect the unit from the power supply.

When unplugging the power cord from electrical outlet, hold it by the plug only and remove the plug carefully. Never pull the cable as it may cause damage to the plug or power cord. Damage to the power cord or plug can lead to an electrocution hazard.

Never leave the product connected to the power source without supervision.

Never put the power cable, the plug or the whole device into the water or any other liquids.

The device should be cleaned regularly complying with the recommendations described in the section on cleaning and maintenance.

Do not place the device near sources of heat, flame, an electric heating element or a hot oven. Do not place on any other device.

This equipment can be used by children aged 8 years and over as long as supervision is provided. People with reduced physical or mental capabilities, as well as people with no previous experience of using this equipment must be supervised and made aware of the risks. The instruction manual should be used as a reference for the safe use of this equipment. Children should not play with the equipment. Children without ensured supervision should not be allowed to perform the cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Additional precautions should be taken when using this device in the presence of children or pets. Do not allow children to play with the device.

The power cable should be periodically checked for damage.

If the power cable is damaged the product should be taken to a professional service location to be fixed or replaced to prevent any hazards from arising.

Never use the product with a damaged power cable or if it was dropped or damaged in any other way or if it does not work properly. Do not try to repair the defected product by yourself as it can lead to electric shock. Always return the damaged device to a professional service in order to repair it. All the repairs should only be performed by authorized service professionals. Any attempted unauthorised repairs performed can be a hazard to the user.

Only Original accessories should be used, as well as accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Using accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer may result in damage of the device and may render the device unsafe for use.

Make sure that device is unplugged before you fill the water tank.

Never use the device when the water tank is empty. Water tank must be filled only with pure and cool water. Do not fill the water tank beyond max capacity.
Water tank lid should not be opened while the device is working. -
Do not place hands directly under the steam, hot water or coffee pour as this can lead to a scalding and injury.

Never remove the filter holder when brewing coffee or collecting boiling water because the appliance is under pressure. Removing the filter holder may result in injury. Never touch the filter holder or the milk frothing nozzle while the appliance is in operation, as this may cause burns. Never turn the steam control button rapidly, as the steam

will accumulate rapidly which may pose a risk of explosion. Do not move steam wand out from the frothed milk until steam control knob is closed.

Before cleaning, always disconnect the espresso machine from the power supply and wait until all hot parts have cooled down.

CAUTION : Some parts of this unit may become very hot and cause burns when touched. Special care should be taken if children and vulnerable persons are present.

Keep the cable out of reach of children and babies to avoid the risk of electrocution and strangulation, keep the appliance and its cable out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.

Preparing for first use
- Pour water into the water tank (water level should not exceed the “Max” marking).
- Connect the power supply and then press the on/off button.
- Wait for the appliance to heat up.
- Turn the steam knob.
- Press the manual control button.
- After flowing approximately 100ml of water, switch off.
- Wash the filter and filter holder.
USING THE MACHINE
- Place the selected coffee filter in the filter holder. Note the notch in the filter holder, the bulge on the filter wall and the notch on the edge of the filter. To slide the filter in or out, the filter notch should be in the correct position.
- While the coffee machine is heating up, pour the ground coffee into the filter and stamp it with the “Coffee Whisking Spoon”.
- Insert the “filter” into the filter holder handle and lock it in line with the tab on the filter holder, then insert the filter holder handle into the coffee machine and place the cup under the coffee outlet.
- When the “single cup of coffee/double cup of coffee ” button is pressed, the machine will start to dispense coffee for one or two cups of coffee; the machine will automatically finish brewing coffee.
- Press the “Manual control button” to prepare the desired volume of coffee as required, then press the “Manual control button” again to stop coffee dispensing.
- Turn the filter holder handle from right to left and then remove the filter holder handle. Holding the filter holder handle and securing the filter with the filter holder(7), remove the coffee grounds and then clean the filter thoroughly
- When the steam button (1.4) is pressed, the indicator light will flash, wait until the light changes from flashing to steady on; then the pre-heating is complete.
- Pour the milk into 1/3 of the container, insert the steam nozzle into the milk to a depth of 1 cm, then slowly unscrew the “steam knob” until steam starts to flow out.
- When the temperature of the milk reaches about 75 degrees, the milk froth will start to expand; then turn off the “Steam knob” and the “Steam button”.
- Finally, switch off the coffee machine with the “On/Off” button.
If the coffee machine is not used for a long time, empty the water tank and switch it off. Clean it before the next use. Note : The amount of steam can be adjusted to suit your needs. A small amount of water in the steam
line should be released before frothing the milk.
Note : After frothing the milk, clean the steam nozzle with a damp cloth
and re-spray the steam for 5 seconds to prevent the milk from drying up and
blocking the steam outlet.
If the “Single cup or Double cup coffee” button is pressed immediately after
frothing milk, the “Single cup, Double cup and manual control” button will
start flashing, this indicates that the boiler is at too high a temperature.
When the heating element reaches the correct temperature the buttons will
become active.
If no operation is performed within 15 minutes, the machine will switch off
automatically. Personalize your own coffee volume for the one cup of coffee
and two cups of coffee buttons.
Once the heating is complete, press and hold the ” single or double cup”
button for three seconds for the machine to emit three beeps; when the coffee
in the cup has reached the required volume, press the button again to end the
water flow. The coffee machine will beep three times; during this time the
time memory function is set. The coffee brewing time can be set between 8-60
seconds; Once this time is exceeded, the setting will fail. The next coffee
brewing will be according to the previously programmed value.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Disconnect the power until the coffee machine has cooled completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the outside of the coffee machine and some accessories with a damp cloth or clean sponge. Note : Do not clean with alcohol or solvent; do not immerse the coffee machine in water when cleaning.
- Wash the filter holder including filters under running water. Do not wash the filter holder in the dishwasher.
Decalcification
- To ensure the function of the coffee machine, it should be descaled every 1-3 months of use, depending on the hardness of the water
- Prepare a 1 litre descaler solution according to the manufacturer’s recommendation; if no descaler is available, citric acid can be used instead (ratio to water is 3:100). Pour the water with the descaling solution into the water tank.
- nsert the filter handle into the coffee machine (without coffee), then press the on/off button
- When the coffee machine has heated up and the buttons are active, turn the steam knob. Place a dish under the milk frother nozzle. Then press the manual coffee preparation button to pour out 200 ml of hot water, stop the flow of solution with the manual coffee preparation button. Turn down the steam knob.
- Repeat step 4 until all the solution from the water tank has been consumed, with breaks (10min) between processes, alternating the flow on the steam nozzle and the filter holder.
- Then rinse the water tank, pour in 1 litre of clean water and repeat the process to rinse the unit
