POWER-LITE ID8W-WF 8W LED Integral Driver Downlight
Product Information
The Smart WIFI Tuya LED WIFI (Model: ID8W-WF) is a high-quality downlight that provides efficient and customizable lighting solutions for indoor areas. It features a built-in smart WIFI functionality, allowing users to control the light remotely using a compatible device.
The downlight has an IP54 rating, making it suitable for indoor use only. It is designed to deliver certainty and reliability with its fast and efficient performance. The product is equipped with an insulating ceiling type IC-4 rating, allowing it to be safely installed in buildings with thermal insulation.
Before installation, it is important to check the IP label on the luminaire to ensure proper placement. The product comes with different IP ratings:
- IP20/IP40: Suitable for indoor use only, not to be used in wet or damp places.
- IP44/IP54: Suitable for indoor areas including bathrooms and covered/sheltered areas such as porches.
- IP65: Suitable for outdoor areas, but not suitable for water immersion.
The downlight also offers color temperature options, allowing users to choose between Warm White (3000K), Natural White (4000K), and Cool White (5700K) lighting.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting the installation, switch off the power supply to ensure safety.
- Read the provided instructions thoroughly and ensure that you have all the necessary tools and accessories for the installation.
- If using a downlight with an internal driver, select the desired color temperature (WW, NW, or CW) before installation.
- Cut a hole in the ceiling according to the specified cutout size for the LED downlight.
- Using a screwdriver, open the driver terminal cover located on the back of the downlight.
- Feed the main AC wire (L and N) into the terminal block of the driver, ensuring proper connections.
- Securely fix the driver terminal cover back in place.
- Hold back the spring clip on the downlight and push the downlight into the hole in the ceiling.
- Ensure that the downlight is fixed tightly in the ceiling to avoid any loose connections.
- Turn on the power supply to activate the downlight.
Warning: It is recommended to hire a professional electrician for installation and maintenance to ensure proper handling of electrical connections. Failure to follow safety precautions may result in overheating or fire.
Important Safety Instructions
Basic safety precautions should always be followed when installing, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Licensed electrician for installation only.
- IP54 for indoor use only.
- Always ensure the power is OFF and the fitting has cooled down before performing any maintenance, cleaning, changing the globe or adjustment to the fitting.
- Do not install any luminaire near the heat source.
- Do not exceed the nominal supply voltage or amperage ratings.
- To avoid damage to the fitting, please ensure that power leads and screws are secure before connecting the power.
Installation Instructions
- The fitting has an insulating ceiling type IC-4 rating. Building material and thermal insulation that can safely be exposed continuously to temperatures up to 90℃ may abut and cover the luminaire.
- If the building material cannot meet this condition, the minimum clearance of 25mm is required. See Figure 1：

Installation Procedure
WARNING
- Switch off before installation.
- Switch on only after complete installation and examination of the circuit.
- Professional electrician for installation and maintenance only.
- Risk of overheating of fire if the clearance distances are compromised.
Turn Off power supply before starting any installation. Read instructions & check you have all the tools & accessories to complete the installation correctly.
Downlight with internal driver
Please select the colour temperature before installation:
- WW: 3000K
- NW: 4000K
- CW: 5700K
- Cut a hole according to the cutout size of led downlight.
- Use screw-driver to open the driver terminal cover on the back of downlight, feed the main AC wire L. N. in terminal block respectively, then fix the cover back.
- Hold back the spring clip then push the downlight into the hole.
- Make sure the downlight fixed tightly in ceiling, turn on the power (Fig 1).
