CONTROLS BUTTONS

  1. Indicator light
  2. LEFT Button – Press to change the parameter value on the menu setting interface.
  3. Menu/OK – Press to confirm the chosen item in the menu setting interface. Long Press (press and hold for 3 seconds) to enter the screen’s menu setting.
  4. RIGHT Button – Press to change the parameter value at the menu setting interface.
  5. Power button -Press to turn ON/OFF.

INSTALLATION

Before installing the camera in your car:

  1. Charge the camera battery by leaving it in the sun for an hour. Alternatively, remove the dust cover from Power socket on the underside of the camera. Plug in the round end of the USB charging cable (supplied) to the camera and USB-A end to the car power adaptor (supplied). Or you may use a 5V indoor USB power adaptor to charge.
    WARNING: Using a USB adaptor rated higher than 5V will damage the camera.

  2. The camera indicator light will blink while charging and turn steady red when the battery is fully charged.

TEST THE CAMERA AND THE MONITOR PAIRING

  1. Connect the car adaptor (supplied) to the monitor and the car’s cigarette lighter socket.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ACC or ON position.
  3. Press the Power button on the screen or car adaptor to turn the screen on.
  4. Give the fully charged camera a quick shake to wake it up. The camera and monitor will pair automatically, and the camera’s image will appear on the screen. You’re now ready to install the kit in your car.
INSTALLING THE CAMERA

Good to know:

  • The camera should be attached to the pre-drilled holes at the bottom of the standard Australian license plate.
  • If the license plate doesn’t have holes at the bottom, refer to state laws to see if it’s allowed to drill holes in the plate. Use the diagram for correct positioning.
  1. Remove the license plate and any frames from the vehicle.
  2. Insert the license plate into the space between the solar panels and the camera mount.
  3. Use the screws provided to attach the license plate to the camera mount. You may require different sized screws depending on your license plate.
  4. Attach the license plate assembly to the vehicle.

INSTALLING THE MONITOR

  2. Connect the car adaptor (supplied) to the power cord attached to the monitor.LASER-NAVC-RCMS-999-Wireless-Solar-Parking-Camera-and-Monitor-FIG-4
  3. Plug in the car adaptor to the cigarette lighter socket in the car.

OPERATION

  1. Turn the vehicle ignition switch to ACC or ON position.

  2. Press the Power button on the screen or car adaptor to turn the screen on.

  3. Wake up the camera by giving it a slight vibration, such as closing a car door or the lurch when the car comes to a full stop.
    NOTE: If no signal is transmitted for 45 seconds, the camera will enter Standby mode. After two minutes, it will enter Sleep mode.

  4. Once the camera image appears on the screen, you can adjust the angle of the camera.
    NOTE: Hold the camera mounting bracket with one hand when rotating the camera, and use the other hand to move it up or down.

  5. To select a realistic parking guidance lines position, see instructions for Parking Guideline Position Adjustment on To turn off parking guidance lines, press the button while the camera image is on the screen.

  6. To mirror the image, see instructions for Mirror Image setting on.

  • Press the Menu button on the screen to open the menu settings.
  • Use LEFT/RIGHT buttons to navigate through the menu, and select settings.
  • Press and hold the Menu button for 3 seconds to enter the chosen menu setting.
  • Press the Menu button to exist.
  • If there is no operation for 8 seconds, the menu will automatically exit.
  1. Pairing – Default pairing settings. No need to update.
  2. Image Parameter
    • Brightness – Change the screen brightness.
    • Contrast – Change the difference between darkest and brightest shades.
    • Colour – Change the colour saturation.
  3. Image Mirror – Set the image Upwards/Downwards/ Original/Mirror Image.
  4. Parking Guideline Position Adjustment -Change the position of Parking Guidance lines.
  5. Time Settings – Adjust the time.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Clean the camera lens and solar panels using a soft cloth moistened with water or environmentally friendly and chemical-free soap if dust or stains have built-up. Do not use solvents or chemical materials. Wipe away the moisture with a dry soft cloth or chamois to avoid leaving residue behind.
  2. Replacing the car adaptor’s fuse
    • Turn the cap on the top of the car adaptor counterclockwise (no tools needed).
    • Remove the cap, centre pin and the fuse.
    • Replace the faulty fuse with a 3amp fuse.
    • Install the centre pin and cap.
    • Turn the cap clockwise.

TROUBLESHOOTING

IF THE SCREEN DOESN’T TURN ON WHEN POWER IS APPLIED:

  1. Ensure the screen is getting power (the ignition switch must be in the ACC or the ON position, or the engine is running).
  2. Check to ensure the power cord is not damaged.
  3. Check the fuse in the car adaptor is not blown.

THE SCREEN DOESN’T DISPLAY AN IMAGE:

  1. The camera battery may have depleted. Recharge the camera battery.
  2. Manually re-pair the camera and screen by going to Menu (short press the Menu button) > select Pairing option > press and hold the Menu button for 3 seconds.

THE CAMERA BATTERY DOESN’T CHARGE WELL:

  1. Clean the solar panels as per instructions on the Care and Maintenance page.
