Product Usage Instructions

Intended use

  • The Fame DPS-61 is a digital home keyboard, designed to play sounds on the keyboard and make them audible through built-in speakers or headphones. Improper use of the product is considered improper and can lead to personal injury or property damage. No liability is assumed for damage resulting from improper use.
  • It must be ensured that the device is operated exclusively by trained and competent users who are in full possession of their mental, physical and sensory abilities. The use by other persons is only permit-ted under the supervision or guidance of a person responsible for their safety.

SAFETY INSTRUCTION

Important safety instructions! Please read before connection!

  • CAUTION! (Electro Magnetic Interference)
    The normal function of the product may be disturbed by Strong Electro Magnetic Interference. If so, simply reset the product to resume normal operation by following the owner‘s manual. In case the function could not resume, please use the product in other location.

  • DANGER! (For babies and children)

    • Dispose of or store any packaging material properly! Packaging material must be kept out of the reach of babies and children due to the danger of suffocation.
    • Make sure that children never use the device unattended! In addition, make sure that children do not remove (small) parts from the device, as they could suffocate by swallowing parts!
  • DANGER! (Electric shock due to high voltages in the device)

    • The housing must not be removed! There are no parts to be maintained in the device. Inside the unit there are components which are under high electrical voltage.
    • Before each use, check the device for damage or the absence of components, protective devices or housing parts. If this is the case, do not use the device!
    • Leave maintenance and repair work to a qualified service workshop or contact your dealer.
  • DANGER! (Electric shock due to short circuit)
    Modifications to the power cord or plug are prohibited. If the power cord is dama- ged, it must be replaced immediately with an original spare part from the manufacturer. Failure to do so may result in fire or death due to electric shock!

  • WARNING! (Damage to hearing)
    The unit may generate volumes that may cause temporary or permanent hearing-loss. Over time, even seemingly uncritical levels can cause hearing damage. Reduce the volume immediately if ear noise or hearing loss occurs. If this is not possible, keep a greater distance or use adequate hearing protection.

  • Hint! (Fire hazard due to overheating)

    • The maximum permissible ambient temperature of this device is 40°C.
    • Ensure that the unit is placed in a place with adequate ventilation, out of the reach of direct heat sources, naked flames and combustible materials and liquids.
    • The ventilation slots of the device must not be taped or covered.
  • Hint! (Operating conditions)

    • Due to its structural characteristics, the device is designed for indoor operation (IP20). Never expose the device to rain, moisture or liquids as this may cause damage.
    • Vibrations, dust or solar radiation can also lead to damage, avoid them!
    • Do not apply excessive force to the switches or controls.
    • Do not let paper, metallic, or other objects into the instrument. If this happens, remove the electric plug from the outlet. Then have the instrument inspected by qualified service personnel.
    • Disconnect all cables before moving the instrument.
  • Hint! (Power supply)

    • It is essential that you check that the device voltage matches your local mains voltage. It is highly recommended that you fuse your mains socket with a residual current circuit breaker (FI).
    • Please connect the designated AC adaptor to an AC outlet.
    • If you do not use your device for a longer period of time, disconnect it from the power supply in order to minimize danger. The same applies to storm conditions such as thunderstorms, floods, etc.
  • Hint! (Commissioning)

    • All connections of the device should be made before switching on.
    • Use only high-quality cables for connections.

    Be sure to inspect the device for damage before using. Optimum use of the original packaging or suitable transport or storage packaging to protect the pro-

  • Hint! (Possible damage due to magnetic fields)
    Loudspeakers generate a static magnetic field. Please keep an appropriate distance from other equipment that may be affected or damaged by an external magnetic field.

  • Hint! (Interferences with other electrical devices)

    • Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interference. Operate this unit at a suitable distance from radios and televisions.
    • If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
    • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
    • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
    • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
    • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

Cleaning

A regular cleaning of the device from impurities and dust increases the durability of the product. Always disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning it! Never clean the appliance wet! Optical lenses should be cleaned with a dry microfiber cloth to optimize light output. Ventilation grilles and openings should always be cleaned of dust and dirt. Suitable compressed air sprays are recommended for this application.

Environmental Protection

  • Disposal of packaging:

    Batteries do not belong in the garbage! Please dispose of batteries in accordance with official regulations at collection points or disposal stations.

  • Charging Indicator
1. The charging indicator is red. When the piano is plugged into USB for charging, the red light will turn on. When the battery is full the green light turns on and the red light goes off.  

When the power is high or full, it is normal for the charging indicator light to flash or go out after charging through USB

2. Battery: High-capacity lithium battery, the charging time is about 4h, please charge for more than Sh for the first use.  

Charging adapter: 5V 1A

  • Protection Function
    If the lithium battery voltage is too low(below 3.5v), the product will automatically reset or can not started. The charging reminder is: While playing the piano or music, it is automatically stop playing and restore the initial setting state.

  • L-OUT/R-OUT:
    6.5mm professional equipment output interface, two independent UR stereo output.

    • Can be external active speaker or audio power amplifier and headphones, enjoy the double channel surround sound output.
    • Support three line earphone and external speaker, not support four line with microphone earphone.
  • MIC Function
    Fixed reverb function is added to satisfy users’ desire of playing and singing at any time and anywhere.

  • MP3 Interface:
    Connect to MP3 or other external audio sources, double channel surround sound effect.

  • SUS: Sustain Pede I, prolong the keys of the end of the time.

  • MICRO_USB: Charging interface and MIDI connection function.

  • MIDI Function:
    Connect the computer with MICRO_USB data cable, and open the corresponding software to use the MIDI function Come with 4W power horn(2W + 2W)

  • Two built-in quality external speakers:
    The sound field effect of speakers can make the user intoxicated in the wonderful music.

  • Sound effects: Two types of sound are built-in: Sustain /Vibration

  • Digital tube: Displays the currently used functionality.

  • Demo: 15 Demo songs

  • Chord:
    When playing rhythm, press the chord function and then to press the multi- fingering method within the range of keys A 1-F4 #, the corresponding chord accompanying sound can be heard. If press the single-fingering chord fingering, the chord of single-finger will be played.

  • Transpose+/-: It starts at level 0. O_ -6 and 0-6.

  • Vol +/ – : It starts at level 14, largest level is 17, minimum is 0.

  • Tempo+/-
    The default speed is 120, the maximum can be adjusted to 300, the minimum can be reduced to 30. Different DEMO songs show different speeds. The actual speed shall prevail.

  • Tone+/-
    Press Tone+ or Tone- to select tone. 128 kinds of tone, please refer to the attachment for details.

  • Rhy+/-
    Press Rhy+ or Rhy- to select rhythm. 128 kinds of rhythm, please refer to the attachment for details.

  • OKON:
    Press the OKON button to enter the teaching mode automatically. Demo song accompaniment play in a continues loop and wait for the user to play. Touch any key to play the main theme of the demo song, Press the OKON button again to select the loop. Press Start/Stop make the demo song accompaniment stops playing.

  • Metronome:
    Press the Metronome function to make a beat sound, and the metronome will play at the current speed. Press Start/Stop function to trun off the metronome.

  • Recording Function:

    1. Press this button to enter the recording mode and make the sound of the metronome. At this point, press any key to start recording. The maximum number of recordings is 700. When the recording is full, the metronome sound stops. You cannot continue to record any note. When you are recording, you can play it by pressing the “Play” button at any time. Each time you press this button, the last memory will be cleared and the recording mode will be re-entered.
    2. Press the “Play” button for the first time to play the recorded notes , and press the “Play” button for the second time to stop playing.
    3. Press the “Play” button to exit the recording mode.
    4. If no value has been recorded before, there is no action will occur when you press “Play” button.
  • Drum Kit
    Press this button to get the drum’s tone on the corresponding keys.
