Description:
Drain pan heater function logic update.
Information:
In the event that the optional drain pain heater does not consistently provide
heat, follow the steps below to update the software.
Multi F outdoor software update procedure:
- Confirm equipment information matches affected models
- Program software instructions
Confirm affected outdoor unit model number, including inverter printed circuit board part number, are correct before updating software.

Prepare all necessary equipment and tools to upload software
a. Stickwriter
b. Short Key
c. Onboarding software
d. Screwdriver
ODU PCBA Location
Remove side panel
Short key on PCBA (CN_FLASH)
Stickwriter connection on PCBA (CN_LGMV port)

After checking firmware Update message, press select button to scroll through firmware options.
Select Model [4_5kW_A4UW36GFA3A4UW30GFA3 225B_9196040B_221207] Press the select button for 5 seconds, the “Model” changes to “Selected”

Power Off Air conditioning unit to be updated
(※ If the power is not cut off, the PCB and onboarding JIG can be damaged) -
Insert Short key on PCBA (CN_FLASH)

Connect Stickwriter Connection cable on PCBA (CN_LGMV port)

Press the select button once in the selected file of the onboarding stickwriter

The stickwriter displays the onboarding progress status. Confirm the word ”Complete” is displayed after successful onboarding.

Remove Short key and stickwriter Connection cable

Reassemble outdoor unit side panel

Power up outdoor unit

Check the PCB Software version (Using LGMV)

Onboarding process is now complete.
