INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. On side of fixture with fixture wires, attach connected tubes and loops with fixture wires [N] to coupling on body [Q] by screwing tube into coupling.
NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to stem threads as noted with symbol (4) to prevent accidental rotation of fixture during cleaning, re- lamping, etc.

  2. On side of fixture without fixture wires, attach long connecting tube [P] to other coupling on body [Q] by screwing long connecting tube into coupling. Attach loop-link-loop assembly [O] to top of long connecting tube [P] by screwing one of the loops into the end of the long connecting tube.
Attach short connecting tube [M] to loop-link-loop assembly [O] by screwing short connecting tube onto threads attached to top loop. Screw loop with threaded nipple attached [L] into free end of short connecting tube [M].
NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all stem threads as noted with symbol (4) to prevent accidental rotation of fixture during cleaning, re-lamping, etc.

  3. On side of fixture with fixture wires, attach locking chain link [J] to connected tubes and loops with fixture wires [N].
NOTE: Locking links can be opened and closed by threading the nut on and off locking chain link end.

  4. On side of fixture without fixture wires, attach another locking chain link [J] to loop [L].

  5. On side of fixture with fixture wires, attach chain [K] to locking chain link [J]. On side of fixture without fixture wires, attach other chain to other locking chain link.

  6. On side of fixture with fixture wires, attach another locking chain link [J] to free end of chain. On side of fixture without fixture wires, attach last locking chain link to free end of other chain.

  7. On side of fixture with fixture wires, attach top locking chain link [J] to loop attached to canopy [H].

  8. On side of fixture without fixture wires, attach top locking chain link [J] to other loop attached to canopy [H].

  9. On side of fixture with fixture wires, weave fixture wires through links of chain [K] no more than 3 inches apart, and pass fixture wires through locking chain link and through loop [H] into canopy [A].

  10. Find appropriate threaded holes on mounting strap [D] that align with mounting screw holes near center of canopy [A]. Screw mounting screws [E] into threaded holes starting from the outlet box side.

  11. Attach mounting strap to outlet box [C] using the strap mounting screws [I]. Mounting strap can be adjusted to suit position of fixture.

  12. Loop safety cables [B] over the mounting strap and attach to mounting strap or inside of outlet box to secure in place and prevent damage to the wires during wiring.

  13. Grounding instructions: (See Illus. a or b).
    a. On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap ground wire from outlet box around green ground screw, and thread into hole.
    b. On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided, attach ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and green ground screw, and thread into mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire, connect fixture ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector after following the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

  15. Raise fixture to ceiling, carefully passing mounting screws through mounting screw holes in canopy.
NOTE: Be certain wires do not get pinched between mounting strap and canopy or canopy and ceiling.

  16. Use lock washers [F] and lock up knobs [G] to attach canopy to mounting strap. Tighten knobs to secure canopy in-place.
