- If EXCESS SWAY occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. DO NOT apply your brakes and DO NOT speed up.

Install receiver housing to hitch-a) Take the receiver and the weather covers out of case. b) Unlock the blue handle using key attached and remove the housing from the receiver by pressing the blue handle and rotating clockwise until a click sound, as shown in Figures A, B, and C. c) Install the top/bottom weather cover to the housing, see Figure D. d) Attach the housing to the hitch using M12 bolt ②, flat washer ③, and prevailing torque nut ④, as shown in Figure E.
Tighten the fasteners for housing to 92 Lb-Ft (125 N*M). -
Keep the card ⑤in the glove compartment. Peel off the label ⑥and apply them on the top of the receiver and door jamb respectively, see Figure F.
Note: For receiver installation & use, see instruction 76900N with receiver kit. -
Remove rear bumper fascia. (A)Gently pull back wheel well moulding with the plastic trim tools to locate a plastic rivet (1 on each side). (B) Use the drill to remove 2 plastic rivets (each side) from the plastic wheel well moulding and facia (See Figure 2). Rivets can not be re-used. Replacements supplied. To remove rivet, insert a small centre punch or drill bit into center to push pin through. (C) Use a 8mm socket to remove 16 screws from the bottom of fascia (8) each side. You will have 3 plastic trim pieces that will come off from this –set them aside for later. (D)

Remove 4 push rivets from the top facia area (Located under the tailgate see Figure 3). Two trim pieces can then be pulled off. (E) Remove reflectors by using the plastic trim tools. (F) Gently begin to remove the facia by using your plastic trim tools. Unclip the electrical on the passenger side and remove the fascia.

Lower exhaust and disconnect sensor wiring: Use a 13mm socket to remove 2 nuts from the exhaust (1 on each side). Next, disconnect the backup sensor wiring and hands-free sensor (Not shown). Lower tailgate to access upper mounting fasteners.

Remove the bumper beam by using a 18mm deep socket on 8 M12 nuts (4 each side). Set the bumper beam to the side. Keep the nuts for hitch installation.

Trim the bumper beam mounting plate by 1” (See Figure 4). Repeat this process from the opposite side.

Raise hitch into position then sandwich with the newly trimmed impact bar.

lighten all fasteners to torque specifications. Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 65 Lb.-Ft. (88 N*M)

Obtain vehicle owners approval before cutting.Trim fascia using utility knife. (See Figure 5).

Reinstall all fasteners, bumper panel, interior trim panel, wiring harness, fascia and bottom appearance panel removed in Steps 3 and 4.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent the entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.

(“We”, “Us” or “Our”) warrants to the original consumer purchaser only (“You” or “Your”) that the product will be free from material defects in both material and workmanship, ordinary wear and tear excepted. The Warranty is valid only if (a) the products are returned to Us for inspection and testing; (b) Our inspection discloses to Our satisfaction that any alleged nonconformance is material and has not been caused by misuse, neglect, wear and tear, improper installation, unsuitable storage, improper repair, alteration, or accident; and (c) the products were installed, maintained and used in accordance with Our instructions. THE WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (OTHER THAN THE WARRANTY OF TITLE AS PROVIDED BY THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE IN EFFECT IN MICHIGAN), INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SAID WARRANTIES BEING EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.
- Obligations of Purchaser. To make a Warranty claim, contact Us at our principal address of 47912 Halyard Drive, Suite 100, Plymouth, MI 48170, 1-800-632-3290, identify the product by model number, and follow the claim instructions that will be provided. Any returned product that is replaced by Us becomes our property. You may be responsible for return shipping costs. Please retain your purchase receipt to verify the date of purchase and that You are the original consumer purchaser. The product and the purchase receipt must be provided to Us in order to process Your Warranty claim.
- Exclusive Remedy. Product replacement is Your sole and exclusive remedy under this Warranty. We shall not be liable for service or labour charges incurred in removing or replacing a product. IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
- Assumption of Risk. You acknowledge and agree that any use of the product for any purpose other than the specified use(s) stated in the product instructions is at Your own risk.
- Governing Law. This Warranty gives You specific legal rights, and You also may have other rights which vary from state to state. This Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to rules pertaining to conflicts of law. The state courts located in Oakland County, Michigan shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes relating to this Warranty.
