Sonel CMM-60 Multimeter Software

The Sonel CMM-60 Multimeter Software is a computer program designed for remote readout of measurement results via Bluetooth. It allows users to connect their multimeter to a computer and view measurement data on the screen. The software is compatible with the CMM-60 multimeter.

Product Usage Instructions
Installation of the Bluetooth receiver in the PC
- Download the CMM-RR Driver from the SONEL website www.sonel.pl or acquire it from the Sonel DVD.
- Insert the CMM-RR into the computer’s USB port and open Device Manager.
- In the Ports menu, find the unidentified USB device. Alternate name: TI CC2540 USB CDC.
- Right-click on the device and select “Update driver”.
- Choose manual installation of the driver.
- Select the location of the CMM-RR Driver folder.
- The driver should be successfully installed.
- Note down the receiver port number. In the example given, it is COM2.
Pairing the multimeter with the application
- Select the desired device and click on it to establish a connection.
- After a successful connection, the current data will be displayed on the screen.
Data logging
To save a graph to the computer’s clipboard, click on “Copy Graph”.
Menu functions
- File
- Open: Opens a logger or real-time file.
- Save: Saves a logger or real-time file.
- Save as: Saves a logger or real-time file with a different name.
- Export To Excel: Exports a logger or real-time file to an Excel file.
- Print Graph: Print the graph.
- Data
- View Toolbar: Shows/hides the toolbar.
- Status Bar: Shows/hides the status bar.
- Com Port ConnectBle: Connects to the COM port.
- Real-Time Start: Starts real-time measurement.
- Stop Stops measurement.
- DataLogger: Opens the data logger.
- Graph Setting: Changes graph colors.
- Help
- Help: Displays the user manual.
- About Multimeter: Displays information about the software version.
Toolbar functions
- Rczka Tool
- Drag the mouse with the left button pressed to move the graph.

- Restores the default vertical zoom of the graph.

- Select the data on the graph for analysis.
- Set the filtering (none, Hamming, Hanning, Triangle, Blackman, or 4-term Blackman-Harris).
Downloading data from the multimeter
Select “DataLogger” and click “Download Multimeter DataLogger” to retrieve
the data saved in logger mode from the multimeter’s memory. After downloading,
a list of all recordings will be displayed in the left part of the window.

- Manually search and install driver software.
- Select the driver software location in the CMM-RR Driver folder.
- The driver has been successfully installed.
- Check the device’s port number. In this example it is COM2.
Pairing the meter with the application
- Start CMM-60 Multimeter Software. MN
- In the main menu select Com Port ► ConnectBle.

- Insert the COM port’s number (sec. 0 step
- Click the Scan button to scan for multimeters.

- The scanning result is as above. Select the device in ① and click ② to connect.
- Measuring data will be displayed normally after a successful connection.
Data recording
- In the main menu select Start ► Real Time to begin data recording.
- Select the Data List in the drawing area to check for the recorded data list.
- You can also select Summary in the drawing area to see related statistical information.
- Clicking the Copy Graph button exports the graph to the computer’s clipboard.
Menu functions
- opens multimeter logger (or real-time) file
- saves multimeter logger (or real-time) file
- exports multimeter logger (or real-time) data to *.xls file format
- starts recording the real-time data
- stops recording real-time data
- prints the graph
- displays the version of the software
Toolbar functions
- Hand tool
- Move the mouse while holding the left mouse button to move the graph.
- Local amplifier
- Move the mouse while pressing the left mouse button to enlarge the chosen area.
- Vertical amplification
- Horizontal amplification
- Numerical display
- Obtain the reading’s data by clicking a point in the graphics area.
- Fits all of the graphs into the screen
- FFT transform
- Fast Fourier Transformation analyzer. Press the left mouse button to choose the data range that needs to be transformed.
- Set Filter (none, Hamming, Hanning, Triangle, Blackman or 4-term Blackman-Harris).
- Set FFT size (32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048).
- Select the spectrum of the analysis (power or frequency).
- Click Run to obtain the analysis.
- Click Close to exit the window.
Downloading data from the meter
- Select DataLogger ► Download Multimeter DataLogger to download data of logger from Multimeter memory

- After downloading, data will show in the Logger List.
- Double-click the item on the list to show and analyze the measurement data.
