Product Information

The product is an electric motor designed for use with the Logosol band sawmill.

  • There are two options available: a 4.6 kW electric motor and an 8 kW electric motor.
  • The motors are supplied with different voltage options: 400V and 230V.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before using the saw, carefully read and understand the user manual for the band sawmill to which the electric motor will be installed.
  2. Start by installing the motor on the motor shelf. Follow the assembly instructions provided in the manual.
  3. Install the safety hinge in the existing holes.
  4. Mount the pulley on the motor shaft, ensuring it fits on the key. Secure the pulley with the stop screw.
  5. Fit the switch box on the handle tube.
  6. Place the drive belt over the wheel and pulley.
  7. To turn on the power supply to the machine, turn the dead man’s switch to (1).
  8. To start the motor, hold down the dead man’s switch (button on the right) and press the start button (on the left). Release the left button once the motor has started. The motor will run until the dead man’s switch is released.
  9. Once the motor installation is complete, refer back to the band sawmill manual and continue with the setup sequence as indicated in the instructions.

Note:
It is important to adjust the saw head before starting to ensure satisfactory sawing and correct functioning of the sawmill. Follow the setup sequence carefully, as certain adjustments may affect other machine settings.

  • Read through all the set-up instructions before starting to set up, then follow the instructions step by step as you work.
  • Numbering for installation sequence
  • After assembly, follow the instructions under the Setup sequence in the sawmill manual to complete the setup before starting the machine.

ELECTRIC MOTOR

ELECTRIC MOTOR 4.6/8 KW

  1. The electric motor comes with a hinge switch connected. Assembly consists of installing the motor on the motor shelf, as well as mounting the pulley and drive belt. The illustration shows the hole pattern for installing the 4.6 / 8 kW electric motor. Follow the assembly instructions, then run through the setup sequence for the machine when the assembly is complete. TURN ON/OFF THE SWITCH BOX

Turn the dead man’s switch to (1) to turn on the power supply to the machine.

START THE MOTOR

Hold down the dead man’s switch (button on the right) to start the motor. Then press the start button (on the left). You can release the left button when the motor has started. The motor will now run until the dead man’s switch is released.
