SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Always remove jewelry and wear eye protection.
- Always use extreme caution when jacking up a vehicle for work. Set emergency brake and use tire blocks. Locate and use the vehicle manufacturers designated lifting points. Use jack stands.
- Always use appropriate and adequate care in lifting components into place.
- Always ensure components will remain secure during installation and operation.
- Always wear safety glasses when installing this kit. A drilling operation will cause flying metal chips. Flying chips can cause serious eye injury.
- Always use extreme caution when drilling a vehicle. Always disconnect power before welding. Thoroughly inspect the area to be drilled (on both sides of material when possible) prior to drilling, and relocate any objects that may be damaged.

When welding in a cab, make sure the interior surfaces are covered (e.g., welding blanket) and a fire extinguisher is at hand.

- Always tighten all nuts and bolts securely per installation instructions.
- Always route electrical cables carefully. Avoid moving parts, components that become hot, and rough or sharp edges.
- Always insulate and protect all exposed wiring and electrical terminals. · Perform regular inspections and maintenance on mounts and hardware.

Getting Started
Before you begin the installation process of your new Fab Fours product, we suggest laying out all materials and parts on a pad or protective surface.
Failure to fully account for all components before beginning installation may leave vehicle immobile until part is acquired. Refer to the next pages as an inventory check.

Assistance
We recommend two people perform the installation as items are heavy and may need to be held in place while installing.
Organization
Disassemble the vehicle where you can catalog and store everything. We suggest labeling and bagging all the OEM bolts when removing from the vehicle. Failure to keep track of parts could lead to an inability to properly reinstall components.

Removal of OEM Bumper
NOTE: Save all OEM parts until installation is complete
1. Open the hood and remove the nine (9) push pins holding the grill cover on using a body pry tool. Remove the grill cover from the truck a set aside for later install. (Figure 1)

2. Use a 10mm socket wrench to remove the four (4) bolts holding the top of the grill to the truck. Carefully pull the grill off the truck by disengaging the body clips. (Figure 2)

3. Use 18mm socket to remove single bolt connecting bumper support bar to bumper. Use a 15mm socket wrench underneath the bumper to remove the two (2) bumper support bracket bolts. Repeat on both sides of vehicle. (Figure 3a&b)

4. Use an 18mm socket wrench with extension to remove four (4) mounting bolts (2 per side) holding bumper to frame mounting bracket. (Figure 4)

5. Unplug the main wire harness connector (if equipped). Carefully remove bumper from truck and set aside.
6. Using 15mm socket, remove three (3) bolts from frame mount bracket. (Figure 5) Save these bolts for later use. Repeat for both sides of vehicle.

7. Remove bolts securing tow hooks to frame using 18mm socket and open end wrench. (Figure 6a&b) Repeat on both sides of vehicle.

8. Remove new Matrix bumper (22650) from packaging. Lay all items on blanket to prevent damage to powder coating.
NOTE: For vehicles without front parking sensors, skip to step 15
9. Disconnect wire harness connectors from four (4) parking sensors and two (2) factory fog lights.
Important: Note the left- and right-hand orientation of harness to ensure proper installation into new bumper. Pop out ribbed shanked push rivets securing wire harness and remove from bumper.
10. Remove parking sensors from factory bumpers by carefully pressing outward on sensor housing and pulling sensor out of housing. (Figure 7) Then remove sensor housing by carefully squeezing clips and pushing through front of bumper.
Important: Note orientation of each sensor AND the position of each sensor and sensor housing in bumper.

11. Insert parking sensor housing into Matrix bumper (22650) sensor cut outs. Cutouts should match shape of sensor housings. Note: Inside sensor housings and outside sensor housings are different shape. (Figure 8a&b)

12. Using the provided epoxy (61632), secure all four (4) sensor housings in their appropriate sensor cutout in the bumper (22650). Allow twenty (20) minutes of time for the epoxy to cure. (Figure 9)

13. Carefully insert parking sensors into proper housing, ensuring that they clip into place.
14. Connect factory wire harness to proper parking sensors. Secure harness using zip ties.
NOTE: Installation of winch, pod lights, or light bar should be done at this time. Use 1/4″ hardware (50324-HW) and L-Brackets (21871) for installation of light bar.
Bumper Installation
15. Insert frame mount brackets (22651 & 22652) into frame rails and loosely install one (1) upper factory bolt. Repeat for both sides of vehicle. (Figure 10) Bracket 22651 should be installed on driver’s side of vehicle and 22652 on passenger’s side.

16. Install three (3) 7/16″-14 x 1″ bolt, flat washer, and lock washer (50324-HW) through sides of frame rail and into weld nuts on frame brackets. (Figure 11a&b) Repeat on both sides of vehicle.

17. Tighten all bracket bolts.
18. Insert ½” bolt stack (20296) into lower bumper slots. (Figure 12) Tape can be used on the backside of bolt stack to keep in place as bumper is lined up with mounting brackets.

19. With assistance, line up bumper to the frame mounting brackets. Insert ½” bolt stacks into lower horizontal slots in brackets. Thread on four (4) ½” nut, with ½” lock washer and ½” flat washer (50324-HW) onto bolt stacks. (Figure 13) Do not tighten at this time.

20. With assistance, lift bumper to align middle 2 slots on bumper and frame mounting bracket. Insert factory bolts. (Figure 14) Do not tighten at this time.

21. Align bumper horizontally and vertically on vehicle. Once bumper is in desired position, fully tighten all nuts and bolts.
22. If equipped with parking sensors, plug in main wire harness connector.
23. If not equipped with parking sensors, insert four (4) 1 1/4″ plastic plugs (50324-HW) into parking sensor cut out holes.
24. Reinstall vehicle grill and grill cover removed in steps 1 & 2.
Installation complete.
