Product Information: Polaris Post Light 344850

The Polaris Post Light 344850 is a high-quality outdoor lighting fixture designed to enhance the aesthetics and functionality of your outdoor space. It is built with durable materials to withstand various weather conditions and provide long-lasting performance.
The fixture comes with several component parts, including a post/pier mount (optional and sold separately), J bolts, flat washers, split washers, hex nuts, cover cap (optional and sold separately), set screw, rubber pad, glass, decorative element, and retaining ring/cover.
It is important to note that the fixture has a maximum wattage limit, and only recommended bulbs should be used to ensure proper operation and safety.

Product Usage Instructions: Installation

  1. Caution: Before starting the installation process, ensure that the power is turned off at the main breaker box.
  2. Site Preparation
    • Run appropriate wiring to the location where the fixture will be installed, leaving enough excess wire to reach the top of the post, plus 12 inches.
    • Pour a flat and level concrete base with the wiring emerging at the center. Insert J bolts into the concrete so that approximately 1 inch of the bolts is exposed above the concrete. Position the J bolts according to the template provided in the instructions. Allow the concrete to cure before proceeding with the installation.
  3. Installation
    • If necessary, cut the post (sold separately) to the desired height before installation.
    • Position the post over the J bolts, feeding the supply wire up through the post. Secure the post using the provided flat washers, split washers, and hex nuts.
    • If desired, place the optional cover cap (sold separately) over the post to conceal the mounting hardware.
    • Attach the four rubber pads to the inside of the fixture. Trim the pads if necessary to ensure a proper fit.
    • Connect the fixture wires to the supply wires using appropriate wire connectors (not provided). Match the black wire to black (or smooth), white wire to white (or ribbed), and bare copper or green wire to bare copper or green. Ensure that the wire connectors are securely twisted on and no bare wire is exposed.
    • Place the fixture onto the post, making sure to tuck all wiring down into the post and avoiding any pinching between the post and the fixture. Secure the fixture with the provided set screw.
    • Unpack the glass and decorative element. Remove the retaining ring/cover from the socket and set it aside.
    • Thread the decorative element onto the socket until it stops against the fixture. Turn the decorative element until its sides align with the sides of the fixture.

Note: It is highly recommended to have the fixture installed by a licensed electrician and in accordance with applicable installation code(s). Failure to install the fixture properly may result in personal injury, death, and property damage.
