Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Attach the lower body (2) to the mop head (3) by snapping it into place.
  2. Install the handle (1) into the lower body until it locks into the right place.
  3. Install the water tank (4) below the main body.
  4. Install the mop pad (5) on the mop head.
  5. The steam mop assembly is now complete.
Operations

Special Features

  • Removable water tank: The water tank is located on the bottom of the main body. It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water instead of tap water.
  • Filter: The steam mop is equipped with a filter to ensure clean steam.

Steam Control

  1. Turn off the steam mop when taking the water tank off.
  2. Fill the water tank with the water cup provided. Do not use chemicals in the water tank of your steam mop.
  3. The steam control indicator light will stop blinking when the steam mop is ready to use.
  4. Press the steam level button to choose the desired level of steam.
  5. Please note that when you first press the steam level button, the steam is at its maximum level. Adjust the steam level by pressing the button again.

Microfiber Mop Pads

The steam mop comes with reusable microfiber mop pads that are machine washable and safe for virtually all hard floor surfaces.

There are two different pads included:

  • The white microfiber pad is best for everyday use on delicate flooring like sealed hardwoods and laminate.
  • The gray and white striped pad can be used for scrubbing heavily soiled floors.

Installation of the item

Your steam mop assembles quickly and easily. It is packaged with the following items:

Steam Control

Getting ready
The mop pad may have already come attached to the mop head.

  1. Set mop head in mop pad, making sure quick-grip release tab is located on the back.
  2. Fill the water tank.
    • Press the buttons on both sides of the tank and pull it out.
    • Pull out the rubber plug on the back of the tank.
    • Fill water tank with water. For beat results, water should be at room temperature.
    • Replace the water tank and gently slide it into place.
  3. Quickly release the power cord and insert it into the 120volt power socket.
  4. The indicator will light up when the steam mop is ready to use press the steam level button to select the steam level you want.

Note:
Upon first use of the steam mop or first use after refilling the water tank, the pump may make a “knocking” sound. This is normal and should only last a few seconds.

Before you clean
Thoroughly sweep or vacuum floor prior to cleaning with the steam mop.

Cleaning hard floors
Your steam mop is designed to clean hard flooring such as ceramic tile, vinyl, laminate, marble, stone and sealed hard wood floors. Use of your steam mop on waxed or some unwaxed floors may result in a diminished glossiness. The steam mop is not for inconspicuous area and check the care instructions from your flooring manufacturer.

  1. Plug the unit in and wait 30 seconds for it to heat up. Choose the level of steam to clean your floor: Low(delicate floors). Medium(regular cleaning). High(durable floors or sticky messes). Begin cleaning by slowly passing the unit over the floor surface.Dirt-Devil-DD7002-Steam-Mop-FIG- \(8\)
    Note:
    Press power switch before you press steam control. When you first press the steam level button, the steam is at its maximum level. Please adjust desired level by pressing the button.

  2. To turn off the steam mop, continue to press the steam level button until the blue light is illuminated above the steam level button.

  3. When the steam mop stops emitting steam, unplug the unit. Simply remove the water tank, refill and continue steaming.
    Note: Be sure to disinfect the floor, use a microfiber mat and wipe it back and forth at least three times with continuous steam. For best results, remove the liner and clean it after.

Carpet Gilder
This accessory is used to attach the steam mop to allow the steam mop to slide over the carpet, thus cleaning the carpet.

Note: Please make sure that carpet gilder has been buckled on the floor head. If it is not in the correct position, it will cause carpet gilder to fall out during the use of the steam mop.

Note: Move the steam mop in a continuous motion until you are finished. DO NOT leave the mop in a stationary position.

Maintenance & Care

  1. Unplug power cord form outlet.
  2. Carefully remove the mop pad from the mop head. The mop pad and lower assembly may be hot.
  3. Any water remaining in the water tank should be emptied prior to machine storage.
  4. Mop pad can be machine washed in warm water. Use only liquid detergents. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach for best results, air dry.
  5. Wrap power cord around hook on back of the steam mop.
  6. Wipe all surfaces of the steam mop with a soft cloth. Store upright in a protected, dry area.

Troubleshooting

WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power switch off and disconnect the plug form electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
