INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the KODAK 35mm Slide Viewer. This User Guide is intended to provide you with guidelines to ensure that operation of this product is safe and does not pose risk to the user. Any use that does not conform to the guidelines described in this User Guide may void the limited warranty. Please read all directions before using the product and retain this guide for reference. This product is intended for household use only. This product is covered by a limited one-year warranty. Coverage is subject to limits and exclusions. See warranty for details

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before using the KODAK 35mm Slide Viewer, please make sure you thoroughly read and understand the following safety precautions, in order to ensure continuous correct operation of the KODAK 35mm Slide Viewer.
- Do not try to open the Slide Viewer’s casing or attempt to modify it in any way. Doing so could create the risk of serious accident or injury and will void the product’s limited warranty.
- Maintenance and repairs to this product should always be performed exclusively by authorized service providers. Do not attempt to repair this product on your own.
- Keep the unit away from all types of moisture, as this could damage the internal components and also creates the risk of fire and electrical shock.
- Never operate the unit with wet hands, as you could damage the product or cause serious injury to yourself.
- Never use the unit in the rain or snow.
- To avoid the risk of accidents, choking hazards, or damaging the unit, keep it and all included accessories out of the reach of children and/or animals.
- Do not mix types and brands of batteries in the unit.
- Batteries are not included.

INSTALLING BATTERIES
- Flip the slide viewer upside-down to find the battery compartment.
- Open the lid and insert four (4) AA batteries (not included) into the designated spaces, making sure the positive and negative connections are aligned correctly with the polarity markings.
- Close the battery compartment cover and make sure the latches snap securely into place
VIEWING A SLIDE
- Press the power button to turn on the light.
- To view a slide, insert it into the slide input. Make sure the image is upright and facing towards you, otherwise the image may appear upside-down or flipped in the wrong direction.
- When you have finished viewing the slide, press and hold the slide eject button to release it into the slide output tray. Do not attempt to force the slide out manually, as this risks damage to the slide or the viewer.
- When you have finished using the unit, press the power button to turn off the light.
VIEWING A FILM NEGATIVE
- Press the power button to turn on the light.
- Make sure the film is flat before feeding it through the unit.
- Feed the film through the film input, located on the right side of the unit when the magnifying lens is facing you.
- When you have finished viewing the film, carefully guide the film out through the film output, located on the left side of the unit.
- When you have finished using the unit, press the power button to turn off the light.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
- When storing for an extended length of time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment and store the slide viewer in a dry place.
- Clean the magnifying lens with a soft dry cotton cloth or lens cleaning paper

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. WE WARRANT THAT DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE PRODUCT WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, ORAL, WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES CONTAINED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT AND TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WHO MAY USE THIS WARRANTY?
C&A Marketing, Inc. located at 114 Tived Lane East, Edison, NJ (“we”)
extends this limited warranty only to the consumer who originally purchased
the product (“you”). It does not extend to any subsequent owner or other
transferee of the product.
WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER?
This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the KODAK
35mm Slide Viewer (the “product”) for the Warranty Period as defined below.
WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER?
This limited warranty does not cover any damage due to:
- transportation;
- storage;
- improper use;
- failure to follow the product instructions or to perform any preventive maintenance;
- modifications;
- unauthorized repair;
- normal wear and tear; or
- external causes such as accidents, abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control.
WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF COVERAGE?
This limited warranty starts on the date of your purchase and lasts for one
year (the “Warranty Period”). The Warranty Period is not extended if we repair
or replace the product. We may change the availability of this limited
warranty at our discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.
WHAT ARE YOUR REMEDIES UNDER THIS WARRANTY?
With respect to any defective product during the Warranty Period, we will, at
our sole discretion, either:
- repair or replace such product (or the defective part) free of charge or
- refund the purchase price of such product if an exchange unit cannot be provided.

Period to obtain a Defective Merchandise Authorization (“DMA”) number. No
warranty service will be provided without a DMA number and return shipping
costs to our facilities shall be assumed by you, the purchaser. Shipping costs
of the replacement unit to you shall be assumed by us.
