KODAK VRC250 Voice Recorder

The KODAK VRC250 is a digital voice recorder that allows users to record audio files on-the-go. The device features a recording= LED indicator, navigation buttons, an external microphone and line-in input, USB port and the ability to set the date, time, language, and recording format.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before turning on the device, slide down the SAVE position.
  2. Press the button to enter the device settings menu.
  3. Select your preferred language by pressing the navigation buttons and then the button to confirm.
  4. To set the date and time, press the button once to select the submenu and then twice to enter it. Use the +/- buttons to set the hour, minute, month, day, and year. Press the button to confirm each setting.
  5. To select the recording settings, press the Return button and then the button to enter it.
  6. Select the recording format by pressing the button and then the navigation buttons. Press the button to confirm.
  7. Select the recording bit rate by pressing the navigation buttons and then the button to confirm.
  8. Once all settings are confirmed, press the SAVE button to start recording.
  9. The recorded files can be transferred to a computer using the USB port.

Turning on and off

  • Push up to turn the device on
  • Push down to turn the device off

Basic settings

  1. Slide down on SAVE position before turning the device on

  2. Press button to enter the device settings menu
    Language

  3. Press button once again to enter Language submenu

  4. Press / buttons to select your language then button to confirm
    Time

  5. Press button once to select Date and Time submenu then button twice to Set Time option

  6. Press +/- buttons to set hour then button to move to the minute setting/Press +/- buttons to set hour then button to move to the minute setting/A

  7. Press +/- buttons to set minute then button to confirm
    Date

  8. Press button once to select Date and Time submenu and button to enter it. Press these two buttons successively again to enter Set Time option

  9. Press +/- buttons to set month then button to move to the day setting

  10. Press +/- buttons to set day then button to move to the year setting

  11. Press +/- buttons to set year then button to confirm

Recording format

  1. Press Return button then button to select the recording settings menu

  2. Press button to enter it then button to select Record Format

  3. Press button then / buttons to select the recording format
    Note: The default recording format is WAV

  4. Press buttons to confi rm and move to the selection of recording bit rate

  5. Press / buttons to select a recording bit rate* then button to confirm
    Note: A high bit rate gives better recording quality but recordings will take up more memory

Recording from other sources

External microphone

  1. Plug in an external microphone before pushing up the SAVE/REC button to record
  2. Press button to select « Microphone » then button to confirm and record

Other devices (e.g. computer)

  1. Plug in a mini jack cable before pushing up the SAVE/REC button to record
  2. Press button to select «Microphone» then button to confirm and record

Activating voice activated recording
In recording settings menu, select AVR mode with the button. Press button then button to « On » and press button once again to confirm.

Recording playback
After pushing the SAVE/REC button down to save the undergoing recording, the device automatically switches to playback mode and displays the recording library

  1. Press / buttons to select the recording to play then button to start playback
  2. Press button once again to pause
  3. Press / buttons briefly to move to the previous/next recording and long press it to rewind/fast forward the playback
  4. Press +/- to raise or lower the volume/Appuyez sur les boutons +/- pour augmenter ou baisser le volume
  5. To erase the recording, press the delete button then button to select « Delete one » and button. Select « Yes » with the button and press button to confirm.

Files transfer to computer
Find the device among the removable disks then copy and paste recordings from RECORD file on your computer
