Product Usage Instructions

To use the Outdoor Long-Range Wi-Fi Access Point (GWN7605LR), please follow these instructions:

1. Mount the access point using the included outdoor metal bar mount or wall mount kits.
2. Connect the access point to a power source that supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) or PoE+.
3. Ensure that the Wi-Fi access point is within the coverage range of your desired area (up to 250 meters).
4. Configure the Wi-Fi settings and security options using the management options provided:
   • If you have up to 50 local GWN APs, you can use the embedded controller to manage them.
   • If you require unlimited AP management, you can utilize GWN.Cloud, a free cloud management platform.
   • If you prefer on-premise software AP management, you can use GWN Manager (BETA) for up to 3,000 GWN APs.
5. Ensure that your Wi-Fi devices are compatible with the supported Wi-Fi standards (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wave-2).
6. Select the appropriate Wi-Fi data rates based on your requirements and the capabilities of your devices.
7. Choose the desired channel bandwidth (20MHz, 40MHz, or 80MHz) for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands.
8. Configure the system security options to protect your network, including WEP, WPA/WPA2-PSK, and WPA/WPA2 Enterprise.
9. Utilize the MIMO technology for improved wireless performance.
10. Manage up to 16 SSIDs (8 per radio) to separate and organize your Wi-Fi networks.
11. Monitor and manage your network using the available network management options.
12. Ensure power efficiency by utilizing PoE (802.3af/802.3at) and consider the maximum power consumption of 10.16W.
13. Keep the access point protected from harsh weather conditions by installing it vertically with IP66-level weatherproof

This outdoor Wi-Fi access point that offers extended coverage range support for both indoor and outdoor deployments thanks to its innovative antenna and weatherproof design. The GWN7605LR comes equipped with dual-band 2×2:2 MU-MIMO technology and a sophisticated antenna design for extended coverage range of up to 250 meters. It uses a controller-less distributed network management architecture in which the controller is embedded within the product’s Web user interface for easy administration of locally deployed Wi-Fi APs. The GWN7605LR is also supported by GWN. Cloud and GWN Manager, Grandstream’s cloud and on- premise Wi-Fi management platform.
