REASON
Degradation of rubber bands
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
A routine inspection has revealed visible material damage which may result in
the breaking of the rubber bands closing the inner bag of the G-Lite rescue
parachute and thus a failed deployment. The issue potentially affects all
G-lite production, so we have therefore decided to replace the rubber band
with a textile cord.
HOW TO PROCEED?
Pilots flying with the G-lite should replace the rubber bands with textile
cord before their next flight. Please refer to the instructions in the
accompanying video and manual.
The textile cords are available as a kit via your GIN dealer or distributor.
If you are in any doubts about how to carry out the procedure, please contact
your local GIN dealer or GIN distributor who will be able to assist.
