SoundExtreme 698UGLW48 Roof LED Strips
Product Information
The ExtremeStrip is a LED roof strip designed for vehicles. It is model SEI- SEUGLW48 and comes with a total length of 269.69 inches (685 cm). The unit weighs 0.74 lbs (0.335 kg) and has a maximum working current of 1.0A with a 12V power supply. The product is compliant with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Layout
The ExtremeStrip layout consists of six LED strip segments, which are not
drawn to scale in the user manual.
Connections
The LED strips come pre-connected with a 3-pin connector. If you need to
disconnect or rearrange the strips, note that they are directional. Make sure
the arrows on each strip are facing the same direction and away from the
controller or other LEDCast product that the strips are connected to.
Mounting Instructions
To mount the strip to your vehicle’s body, each LED segment provides two
options. The interconnection cable between two LED strip segments may be
longer than necessary. Instead of cutting and reconnecting the cable, wrap the
extra length on your vehicle and secure it with the included zip ties. Ensure
the cable is safely secured and does not touch or drag on the ground or any
moving parts.
Wiring Instructions
- Run the LED Control Cable to a SoundExtreme product with LEDCast technology (sold separately). Make sure the cable does not touch any moving parts on the vehicle. If the cable is longer than required, wrap the extra length on your vehicle and secure it with zip ties. Use the provided cable clips to keep loose sections of the cables from dangling. Mount the clip to your vehicle using the adhesive backing.
- Connect the 3-pin male connector on the LED Control Cable to the LED control output 3-pin female connector on a SoundExtreme product with LEDCast technology. Before making the connection, power off your SoundExtreme product to avoid potential electric damage. Align the arrow on both connectors, push-in, and screw the nut cap on the female connector.
- Once connected, you can control the ExtremeStrip lighting effects via the connected SoundExtreme product, using either an RF remote or the SoundExtreme smartphone app.
