Connections
The ExtremeStrip LED strips come pre-connected by a 3-pin connector. If the strips are disconnected or if you want to rearrange the strips, please note that the strips are directional. (Additional strips sold separately ).
IMPORTANT: When reconnecting the strips, verify that the arrows on each strip are facing the same direction AND ensure the arrows on the strip are facing away from the controller. The arrows on the strip MUST face away from the controller or other LEDCast product that the strips are connected to, otherwise they will NOT function.
Mounting Instructions
- Each LED segment has two options to mount the strip to your vehicle’s body:
- 3M – double-sided tape
- Screw mounting holes at each end of the strip (screws included)
- The Interconnection Cable between two LED strip segments may be longer than the installation requires. Do NOT cut the cable and reconnect. Instead wrap the extra length on your vehicle and fasten the cable with the included zip ties. Please ensure the cable does NOT touch or drag on the ground AND is safely secured to prevent it from coming into contact with any moving parts.
Wiring Instructions
-
Run the LED Control Cable to a SoundExtreme product with LEDCast technology (sold separately), making sure the cable does NOT touch any moving parts on the vehicle. If the cable is longer than required do NOT cut the cable and reconnect. Instead wrap the extra length on your vehicle and fasten the cable with the included zip ties. Please ensure the cable does NOT touch or drag on the ground AND is safely secured to prevent it from coming into contact with any moving parts.
You can also use the provided Cable Clips to keep loose sections of the cables from dangling. Mount the clip to your vehicle using the adhesive backing. -
Connect the 3-pin male connector on the LED Control Cable to the LED control output 3-pin female connector on a SoundExtreme product with LEDCast technology.
IMPORTANT: To avoid potential electric damage to your strips or the LED controller, power off your SoundExtreme product with LEDCast technology before you make the connection. Align the arrow on both connectors, push-in, and screw the nut cap on the female connector. -
