ITEMS PROVIDED BY GOAL ZERO

  • Haven 10 Manual Transfer Switch, SKU: 70050
    •   * Yeti Extension Cable
  • 3600 W Passthrough Cable (8 ft Flying Leads to Power + Male Cable, SKU: 98760)

ITEMS PROVIDED BY INSTALLER

Note: The Haven 10 allows for the inlet to be relocated from the Haven 10 unit to a remote location. This requires the installer to provide a generator power inlet, which is available from Reliance directly.

  • 40 A double pole 120 V Breaker

  • Gang Box

  • Wall Outlet (Goal Zero recommends
    NEMA L14-30R)

  • Wiring needed to connect the breaker to the in-wall outlet

    •   * Use 8 AWG wire to comply with NEC rules
  • A plug to terminate the 3600 W Passthrough Cable (Goal Zero recommends NEMA L14-30P)

INSTALLING THE 3600 W PASSTHROUGH
This cable replaces the power cord that is included with the Yeti PRO. Please keep the power cord in case you need it in the future. The 3600 W Passthrough Cable provides the following benefits:

  • It allows for automatic power switching up to 3600 W in less than 10 milliseconds when the Yeti PRO 4000 is plugged in and the circuits are connected through the Haven 10 Manual Transfer Switch

  • It allows you to charge the Yeti PRO 4000 while simultaneously passing through power to your circuits.

    •   * Passthrough capability up to 3600 W when the Yeti PRO is completely charged.  

      (120 V only)

    • If charging at 1800 W, it can continue to pass through another 1800 W. The Yeti will prioritize pass-through over chraging

    •  3600 W passthrough cable provides power to both L1 and L2 of the Haven 10.
      There is no option to supply 240 V loads from this cable. The Haven 10 should be configured with 120 V loads only.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) standards throughout each step of the installation

  1. Install the double pole 40 A 120 V breaker at the breaker panel
  2. Install the gang box and wall outlet
  3. Connect the breaker to the in-wall outlet using suitable 8 AWG wire
  4. Install a plug for the in-wall outlet
  5. Plug the Power+ end of the 3600 W Passthrough Cable into the Power + port on the Yeti PRO 4000
  6. Terminate the bare ends of the 3600 W Cable with the plug that corresponds with your wall outlet.
    a. For this configuration we will only be using one leg of the 240 V supply. It does not matter which leg you use.
    b. Green is Ground
    c. White is Neutral
    d. Black is L1 or L2
