SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The following are important notes on the installation, use, and maintenance;
save this instruction manual for future reference; use the equipment only as
specified in this guide; any other use is considered improper and dangerous;
therefore, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of damages
caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
Before use, ensure the equipment is undamaged; if in doubt, do not attempt to
use it and contact the authorized service center; do not leave packing
materials (i.e. plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, staples, etc.) within
reach of children as they are potential sources of danger; always remember
that they must be separately collected. Make sure that the rating information
given on the technical label are compatible with those of the electricity
grid; the installation must be performed according to the manufacturer’s
instructions considering the maximum power of the appliance as shown on the
label; an incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or
things, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible thereof.
If it is necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets or electrical extensions,
use only those that comply with current safety standards; in any case, do not
exceed the power consumption limits indicated on the electrical adapter and/or
extensions, as well as the maximum power shown on multiple adaptors.
Do not leave the unit plugged in; better to remove the plug from the mains
when the device is not in use. Always disconnect from the power supply if you
leave it unattended. Cleaning operations should be carried out after
unplugging the unit. If the unit is out of order and you do not want to fix
it, it must be made inoperable by cutting the power cord.
- Do not use the appliance in the event of damage to the power cord, or plug, or in case of short circuits; to repair the product only address an authorized service center.
- Do not handle or touch the appliance with wet hands or bare feet. Do not expose the appliance to harmfulweather conditions such as rain, moisture, frost, etc..Always store it in a dry place.
- This appliance can be used by children of 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they received supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved; children shall not play with the appliance; cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
If the power cord is damaged, or in case of failure and/or malfunction do not tamper with the unit. The reparation must be done by the manufacturer or by a service center authorized by the manufacturer in order to prevent any risk. Failure to comply with the above may compromise the unit’s safety and invalidate the warranty.
WARNING: This appliance includes a heating function. Do not cover. Keep space on sides when using. Surfaces, other than functional surfaces may develop high temperatures. Since temperatures are perceived differently by different people, this device should be used with CAUTION. Hold the appliance exclusively to grip surfaces intended to be touched.
- This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments; by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments; farm houses, bed and breakfast type environments.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.
- Before every use, unroll the power cord.
- Use original spare parts and accessories only.
- Do not subject the product to strong impacts, serious damages may result.
- Do not use near or under flammable materials (like curtains), heat, cold spots, and steam.
GENERAL INFORMATION
When you first use the appliance, the electric resistance can emit smoke. Do
not worry because the smoke will disappear after a few uses. First of all,
clean all the parts that will be in touch with food such as the pliers.
CAUTION: risk of burn! After having turn on the unit, avoid touching it
since some parts become very hot. Handle with care freshly-cooked food. Touch
only the handles of the pliers and the buttons while the unit is running.
Never leave the appliance unattended while it is working. Always place the slices of bread or food inside the special pliers and be careful not to include foods that are too large in relation with the capacity of the cooking slots. Always use the toaster with the crumb tray inserted, making sure it is assembled correctly.
Do not use to cook food containing jam, chocolate spread, or foods that might drip in general. Once finished, unplug it and wait for the cooling of each part of the unit before storing it. Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. In any case prevent splashes of water or other liquids from reaching the toaster. Place the toaster on stable shelves.

OPERATING
This bread toaster is suitable for cooking and heating tasty toast and toasted bread. Thanks to the defrost function, activated by the button (7) “Defrost”, it is also possible to defrost bread or toast.
Cooking
- Make sure that the lever (1) is in the high position.
- Place the product on a flat and stable surface and connect the plug to the power outlet.
- Set the timer (8) depending on the taste, the thickness of the bread and the roast that you want to achieve.
- Place food in the special pliers and put the clamps in the slots (2). Lower the lever (1) to start cooking.
- During cooking, check that food does not burn. If you want to stop cooking, at any time you can press the OFF/Cancel button (6).
- After cooking, lever (1) lifts automatically to power off the equipment. To take bread out, grab the pliers from the special handles without touching the toaster, especially the top.
- Unplug the unit and wait for the complete cooling of each part, before storing the appliance.
Defrost
This function allows you to heat the cooking slots at a temperature suitable
for defrosting bread. To use this option, after you have set the timer (8) and
turn down the lever (1), press the defrost button (7).
Heating
This function allows you to heat the coking slots enough to maintain the
temperature of the bread or heat some cold food. To use this option, after you
have set the timer (8) and turn down the lever (1), press the heat button (6).
CLEANING
Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet and let it cool down before starting cleaning operations. Do not immerse the unit in water. In any case, avoid any splashing of water or other liquids, and pay attention the water does not enter the slots for pliers. The pliers can be treated like normal dishes. Clean the crumb tray by removing all the crumbs and then wiping off the residue with a sponge, making sure to dry it completely before replacing it in the toaster. Clean the body of the toaster with a damp cloth.
