Test the kit thoroughly before use.

Refer to the maintenance manual of the engine to be tested with the meter.

Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage neutral gear, apply the parking brake, and block the wheels.

Locate the oil pressure/temperature sensor on or near the oil pan of the engine and clean the area.

Ensure the engine is switched off and cooled down before connecting the meter.

Place a bowl under the sensor to catch oil, remove the sensor, and screw the meter into the hole.

Attach the appropriate connector to the meter.

Check the oil level and top up if necessary.

Start the vehicle and let it reach normal operating temperature. Maintain the correct speed indicated in the table (if necessary, ask an assistant).

Compare the reading on the meter with the values in the table.
If the reading is lower or higher, have the engine serviced by a qualified technician. -
Switch off the vehicle and let it cool down before removing the meter.

Replace the oil pressure/temperature sensor, top up oil if necessary, and dispose of spilled oil in accordance with local and state laws and regulations.

Clean the tool and store it in a room out of children’s reach.

Thank you for choosing to purchase this quality product. To minimise the risk
of injury, we ask you to always take some basic safety precautions when using
this product. Please read this operating manual carefully and make sure that
you understand it.
Keep these operation instructions in a safe place.
Safety instructions
Safety of use
- Check if moving parts are badly positioned or jamming, if parts are broken, or if you detect other factors that could interfere with the correct operation of the device.
- If the product is damaged, have it repaired before use.
- Only use the product and its accessories, etc. in accordance with these instructions and in the manner intended for the type of product, taking into account the working conditions and work to be performed.
- Using the product for work other than that for which it is intended can be dangerous.
- The brass parts of this product contain lead probably causing reproductive harm.
- Persons with pacemakers should consult their doctor before use. Electromagnetic fields in the immediate vicinity of a pacemaker can lead to interference or failure of the pacemaker.
- Use caution when near the coil, spark plug leads, or distributor of a running engine. The engine should be switched off while adjusting the distributor.
- This product is not a toy. Always keep it out of children’s reach.
Work area safety
- Keep children and bystanders away during operation. Distractions can lead to loss of control of the device.
- Keep your working area clean and well illuminated. Messy or dark areas can increase the risk of accidents.
Personal safety
Wear ANSI-approved safety glasses, NOSE-approved dust mask/respirator, and
work gloves during use and maintenance.
Be attentive and go about your work with common sense. Do not use the device
when being tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medicine.
Do not stoop down too far. Always ensure a safe stand and keep your balance.
This will allow a better control of the device in unforeseen situations.
Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery, or
long hair might get caught by moving parts.
Carbon monoxide hazards
DANGER! Operating an engine indoors CAN KILL YOU IN A FEW MINUTES. Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poison that can neither be seen nor smelled. NEVER use in a house or garage, EVEN IF doors and windows are open. Only use the motor outdoors and away from windows, doors, and ventilation openings.

Use
Read the “Safety Instructions” section at the beginning of this manual, including all the text under the subheadings, before setting up or using the product.
Note! Test the kit thoroughly before use.
- Read the maintenance manual of the engine to be tested with the meter.
- When testing the engine in a vehicle, the vehicle should be parked on a level surface, the trans-mission in neutral, the parking brake applied, and the wheels blocked.
- The oil pressure/temperature sensor is normally located on or near the oil pan on the lower part of the engine. Thoroughly clean this area before continuing.
- Only connect the meter when the engine is switched off and has cooled down.
- Place a bowl under the sensor to catch the oil, remove the sensor and screw the meter into the hole.
- Attach the appropriate connector to the meter.
- Check the oil level and top up with oil if necessary.
- Start the vehicle and let it come to normal operating temperature. If necessary, ask an assistant to maintain the correct speed indicated in the table.
- Compare the reading on the meter with the numbers in the table. If the actual reading is lower or higher than the values given in the table, have the engine serviced by a qualified technician.
- Switch off the vehicle and let it cool down before removing the meter.
- Replace the oil pressure/temperature sensor, top up oil if necessary, and dispose of and recycle spilled oil in accordance with local and state laws and regulations.
- Clean the tool, then store it in a room out of children’s reach.
Maintaining and repairing
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must only be carried out by a qualified technician.
WARNING! TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY CAUSED BY ACCIDENTAL OPERATION, discon-nect the tool from the vehicle being tested before performing inspection, maintenance, or cleaning. TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY CAUSED BY TOOL FAILURE, do not use damaged equipment. If unusual noises or vibrations occur, have the problem inspected and repaired before further use.
- Check the general condition of the unit BEFORE EACH USE. Check for loose moving parts, cracked or broken parts, and any other condition that could affect safe operation.
- Clean the outer surfaces of the device AFTER USE with a clean cloth.
