Product Usage Instructions

WARNINGS

ATTENTION :
Read this booklet carefully it contains important instructions for a safe installation, use and maintenance. Important instructions to be kept for future reference.
The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

  1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
    The Appliance

  2. This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.

  3. The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.

  4. Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. DO NOT operate the appliance when the housing is damaged. In case you are not sure, contact a qualified person. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer / service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a shock hazard.

  5. Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency) corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance, and that the wall socket is properly grounded. This appliance is fitted with an earth wire for extra safety.

  6. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

  7. DO NOT power the appliance using multiple sockets. If possible, avoid the use of adapters and/or extension cables; if their use is absolutely necessary, use only materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and according to the electrical parameters of the adapters. The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote control appliances which are not specified in this manual.

  8. Only use original components & accessories provided by the manufacturer. Any non-original components & accessories NOT recommended by the manufacturer may cause injuries to persons or damage to the appliance. DO NOT use Nozzles belonging to other models from the same manufacturer or other manufacturers. Doing so will void the warranty and may cause serious injury.

  9. The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources of danger.
    Location

  10. This appliance is NOT suitable to be used or stored near heat sources (open flame, ovens, heaters, stoves, etc.) and/or in an explosive environment (in the presence of flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these substances should never be placed in the appliance, and never be used to clean the appliance in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.

  11. The appliance should NOT be placed on any surface or in the vicinity of objects which can be damaged by heat, such as carpets or plastics, while in operation or immediately after. During operation, as heat is transferred away from the appliance, the surface that the appliance is placed upon as well the surface immediately above or adjacent to it may become very hot. If the appliance is operated on wooden furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate finishes.

  12. Avoid placing the power cable on abrasive or sharp surfaces or in positions where it can be damaged easily. The cable must NOT be placed under carpets, or covered with throw rugs, runners or similar. Arrange the cable away from the high traffic area, and where it will NOT be tripped over.

  13. DO NOT use or store the appliance outdoors. Store and use the appliance only indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of the sun and dust.
    Operation
    If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should:

    • Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth. The appliance may NOT be immersed in water. Wash the Nozzles r with water & detergent with a non-abrasive sponge if you wish. DO NOT use metal scouring pads. Dry the Nozzles thoroughly before attaching it onto the appliance.
    • Ensure that the ON/OFF & Speed Switch is set to 0 (OFF). Insert the plug of the power cable to the electric mains and switch it ON. Holding the appliance by the Handle, select the desired speed (3 for drying hair or 2 for styling hair) or Cool function.
    • Make sure to remove any label or protective sheet which may prevent its proper functioning.
  14. DO NOT:

    • cover the appliance during functioning;

    • use while you are tired or sleepy;

    • cover or block the Air Inlet or Air Outlet of the appliance during operation or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the Air Inlet or Air Outlet may be blocked;

    •  insert metal objects into the air grilles to avoid electric shock or body parts inside the

    • protection cover of the appliance;
      allow hands, hair, clothing, curtains, and any other objects to come into contact with the appliance’s motor and accessories to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance when the appliance is in operation;

    • use the appliance if blades are bent, chipped, cracked, broken or in any way damaged; tamper with the appliance’s components as this appliance contains no user-serviceable parts and doing so may cause unnecessary damage;

    • attachments (Nozzles, Air Inlet Cover) may be hot during use. Allow them to cool before handling;

    • use the appliance on artificial hair;

    • wind the power cable round the appliance;

    • operate the appliance for more than 5 minutes without interruption. Let the appliance rest for 10 minutes between processing cycles. After 3 processing cycles, allow an interval of 15 minutes to let the appliance cool down before the next use so as to

    • prolong its service life. DO NOT allow the appliance to idle while in operation;

    • press the ON/OFF & Speed Switch too hard so as to avoid any damage;

    • leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.

  15. During operation, DO NOT touch the appliance with wet body parts, and it is recommended to have between you and the standing surface, an isolating element (for example, wearing shoes with rubber soles).

  16. DO NOT use this appliance while bathing or showering. DO NOT use, place or store this appliance near bathtubs, showers, toilets, basins or other vessels containing water. When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a risk, even when the appliance is switched off.

  17. DO NOT operate this appliance if it has a damaged plug or power cable, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped, especially into water. Return the appliance to a service centre for examination and repair. DO NOT soak the appliance in water or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing of the appliance to prevent electric shock. In case of accidental fall in water, DO NOT try to take it out, but first of all unplug immediately the power cable from the socket.

  18. DO NOT direct hot air toward any person or animal, especially the eyes or other heat sensitive areas to prevent possible burns or scalding.

  19. Note: USING HUMAN HAIR DRYERS CAN ACTUALLY HARM YOUR PET. Animals such as dogs and cats have thinner skins (especially domestic cats) than humans and run the risk of being burned if the temperature is set too high. When blow drying your pet’s coat, it is recommended to use a hair dryer specifically designed for that particular animal.

  20. Switch off the appliance by turning the ON/OFF & Speed Switch to ‘0’ (OFF) and unplug the socket from the electric mains and wait until the appliance has cooled down before changing accessories, storing, cleaning or performing any maintenance operation.

  21. Insert and detach the 3-pin plug from the socket on the wall holding it firmly with dry hands. Always detach the 3-pin plug to avoid overheating. DO NOT pull the power cable, tug it or use it to drag the appliance to which is connected.

  22. In case of malfunction or anomaly during the functioning, switch the appliance off immediately, turn off the power and check the cause of the anomaly, if possible, with the support of a qualified person.

  23. If smoke is observed coming out of the appliance, switch the appliance off immediately. This appliance is a personal care device and is NOT intended for commercial use.

  24. This appliance is intended to be used in households and similar applications, such as:

    • Staff areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • By clients in dormitories, hotels, motels and other residential environments;
    • Bed and breakfast type environments.
  25. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall NOT play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach of children less than 8 years old.

HOW TO USE

  1. Clean the appliance and Nozzles before using. Refer to the section “How to clean and maintain” immediately following this section.
    Drying Basics

  2. Towel dry hair to remove excess moisture. Blot with the towel rather than rub the hair to avoid causing excess frizz and split ends.

  3. Comb through and detangle the hair with a wide toothed comb.

  4. Turn the ON/OFF & Speed Switch to 0 (using dry hands), plug the power cable and switch it on. Turn on by selecting desired heat setting.

  5. Direct the appliance at the hair and not the scalp. Begin by briskly blowing all over the hair to remove excess water using position 3 and the fastest airflow using the Infinity Speed Dial (Full Power & High Temperature).

  6. When hair is mostly dry, section the hair and begin to style using position 2 and medium airflow using the Infinity Speed Dial (Half Power & Medium Temperature). Begin at the nape of the neck and brush hair while following the motion with the appliance.

  7. Work up to the scalp, sides and front of hair until entire head is dry and desired style in complete.
    Hair Concentrator Nozzle

  8. The removable Hair Concentrator Nozzle allows for styling accuracy and control, whilst creating a more focused and powerful airflow. Point the nozzle at a 90° angle to the section you are drying while brushing under it, working from roots to ends. Keep the

  9. Nozzle pointed downward at all times and never let it touch the hair.
    Hair Diffuser Nozzle

  10. The removable Hair Diffuser Nozzle helps to reduce the amount of frizz for all hair types. It enhances curls you already have or, in some cases, discover waves you didn’t even know were there if your hair is typically straight or slightly wavy. Another benefit is the reduced amount of damage to the hair when you use a Diffuser. Lay your curls onto the Diffuser and proceed to dry using position 2 and the slowest airflow using the Infinity Speed Dial. Only work your way up to position 3 and higher and faster airflow using the Infinity Speed Dial if you need to. You can lean your hair over and dry upwards for the length of your hair, and place it near your head to dry your roots as needed.

  11. Should the hair dryer stop working for any reason, turn it off at once and let it cool down.
    Safety Protection
    If the appliance overheats, the thermal switch will be activated, leading to the motor being shut off. Turn the ON/OFF & Speed Switch to ‘0’ (OFF). Switch the appliance off and unplug the power cable from the electric mains. Allow the appliance to cool for at least 15 minutes before using the appliance.

HOW TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN

  1. Turn the ON/OFF & Speed Switch to 0’(OFF) and the slowest speed using the Infinity Speed Dial. Switch the Wall Switch off and unplug the power cable. Wait until the appliance and Nozzles have cooled to room temperature before cleaning or storing.
  2. Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, and avoid spraying water, in order to avoid damage or leakage. If the appliance is sticky or dirty, clean the appliance with a damp cloth moistened with detergent and gently rub the surface of the appliance. The Nozzles can be washed using detergent and rinsed under running water. Dry the appliance and Nozzles with a soft, dry cloth before use.
  3. DO NOT use a steel wire sponge, abrasive cleaners or corrosive liquids such as gasoline or acetone to clean this appliance. DO NOT use boiling water for cleaning.
  4. Ensure that the appliance is clean, dry, and placed in dry and well-ventilated storage. Avoid direct sunlight.
  5. Keep the Air Inlet free of lint, hair, etc., a build-up often resulting in loss of power, and may lead to sparks as the lint or hair is singed. Remove any lint or hair present from the Air Inlet and the Air Inlet Cover.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Fault symptom Cause analysis Troubleshooting

Cool air is coming out of the appliance (even when the position 3 is selected).| This could be caused by a blockage of hair, dust or some other obstruction in the Air Inlet.| Turn the ON/OFF & Speed Switch to 0 (OFF). Switch the appliance off and unplug the power cable from the electric mains.
Wait until the appliance and Nozzle have cooled to room temperature.
Use a soft bristle brush to gently remove any lint or hair present from both the Air Inlet and its cover.

ENVIRONMENTAL TIP

This appliance, along with all other electronic appliances, should, when it is no longer capable of functioning, be disposed with the least possible environmental damage according to the local regulations in your area. In most cases you can discard the appliance at your local recycling centre. DISPOSAL: Do not dispose this appliance as unsorted municipal waste.
Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.
Risk of child or animal entrapment
Before you discard this appliance, please remove all doors and leave the shelves inside so that children or animals may not easily get trapped inside.

WARRANTY

Warranty Conditions

  1. This warranty provides against defective materials and manufacturing faults throughout for two years from the date of purchase of the appliance. The warranty on the Compressor is 10 years subject to the same conditions as above.
  2. This warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear, replacement of consumable materials and accessories, and the cost of maintenance of the appliance.
  3. This warranty does not cover the repair or replacement of part/s damaged by misuse, accidents, negligence, alterations, or modifications in any way, or repairs done by any repair organisation without the prior consent of PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd.
  4. Repair and service are to be performed at: 5 Changi South Lane #03-01 Singapore 486045. A transport fee will be charged for personal doorstep service.
  5. The original purchaser of the appliance must furnish proof of purchase to our Service Centre with the email or number as registered during submission of warranty when this appliance is sent for repair/service. Failure to do so may delay the receipt of said repair/service by the customer.
  6. Under no circumstances whatsoever shall the serial number be erased, defaced or altered by the customer and/or his representatives, or the dealer and/or his agents. Failure to ensure this shall invalidate the warranty.
  7. This warranty is deemed to be void if the defect is cause by the attack of household pests, fire, lightning, natural disasters, pollution, abnormal voltage or the usage of generators. This warranty is valid in Singapore only.
  8. This warranty will be honoured subject to the customer’s registration of the warranty inclusive of original invoice or valid purchase receipt. Failure to present these documents will result in denial of service. However, if the customer still requests that the defective appliance be repaired, PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd may, at its discretion, repair the appliance but impose a labour charge, as well as the costs of the replacement parts, to be borne solely by the customer.
  9. Please refer to the attached picture for the location of one of our appliance’s serial number, as an example.
    Please complete the on-line registration warranty form available on our website. There is no further requirement to send us any hard copy as part of our efforts to save the environment.
    In accordance with the terms and conditions of this limited warranty as stated above, PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd, at its expense shall provide free services for the appliance within the warranty period from its date of purchase from our Authorised
