Sonnax T9-28-1350FD Pinion Yoke
Product Information
The product is a high-performance driveline part, specifically designed for use with 9 Ford 28-spline differentials. It includes a pinion yoke with part number T9-28-1350FD, which utilizes a 1350 U-joint. For those who prefer to use a 1330 U-joint, the pinion yoke with part number T9-28-1330FD should be used instead. The package also includes a spacer and a standard bearing carrier. Additionally, there are two types of bearing carriers available: standard carrier and big bearing carrier/Daytona.
Product Usage Instructions
- First, ensure that the product is compatible with your vehicle’s 9 Ford 28-spline differentials.
- If you want to use the 1350 U-joint, install the pinion yoke with part number T9-28-1350FD. If you prefer the 1330 U-joint, use the pinion yoke with part number T9-28-1330FD instead.
- When using the Sonnax spacer, always install it behind the pinion nut, similar to a washer (refer to Figure 2).
- Do not install the spacer between the yoke and the bearing.
- For proper installation of the bearing carrier, refer to Figure1:
- If you have a standard carrier, ensure that the bearing width is 2.2 and the pinion bearing outer diameter is 2.675. Use the Sonnax spacer in this case.
- If you have a big bearing carrier/Daytona, the bearing width should be 2.5 and the pinion bearing outer diameter should be 3. In this case, the Sonnax spacer is not required.
- Refer to Figure 3 for the installation of the pinion gear and integral shaft.
- Make sure to use the appropriate front and rear bearings and properly tighten the pinion nut.
Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and performance of the product.
