Product Information

The VolitionTM RJ45 K5e Jacks are part of the 3MTM VolitionTM Network Solutions and are the ultimate Category 5e hardware component. They are compliant with ISO/IEC 11801, EN 50173, and ANSI/TIA/EIA-568 standards. The K5e jack is a core product in the system solution, which includes a comprehensive range of keystone patch panels, sockets, faceplates, Category 5e patch cords, and cables. It offers the best margin over Class D/Category 5e link standards.
The K5e jack features a unique design that ensures minimal distance between the end of the conductor and the IDC contacts. It also allows for a wide range of cable routing options and can be used with low-profile trunking and boxes.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the VolitionTM RJ45 K5e Jacks, follow these steps:

Select the appropriate color variant of the jack (white, blue, green, red, yellow, black, orange, or almond) based on your preference or requirements.
Ensure that you have the necessary tools and equipment for installation, including a keystone mounting system.
Prepare the cable by stripping off the appropriate length of the outer sheath.
Separate and arrange the individual conductors according to the desired wiring scheme (e.g., T568A or T568B).
Insert each conductor into its respective IDC contact on the K5e jack.
Use a suitable tool to firmly press down on the IDC contacts to establish a secure connection with the conductors.
If required, repeat the above steps for additional jacks.
Connect the K5e jack to a compatible keystone patch panel, socket, or faceplate using the keystone mounting system.
Test the connectivity and performance of the installed K5e jacks using appropriate testing equipment.

The K5e jack is a core product in our system solution, which includes a comprehensive range of keystone patch panels, sokkets and faceplates, Category 5e patch cords and cables. The K5e jack offers the best margin over Class D / Category 5e link standards.
The RJ45 K5e jack is available in three different formats:
- UTP
- FTP with drain wire
- STP 360° braid or foil connection

Tool-less jack:
- Easy and quick to install
- Fast reliable connection in record time: all 8 copper conductors are effortlessly wired in a single operation
- Quality of connection by design: not dependant on tool condition or operator skills, just listen for the click
- Consistent results: the length of untwisted pairs and the length between the end of the conductor and the IDC contacts are always kept to a minimum, by design
Re-usable
- If a wiring mistake is made there is no need to use a new jack
- No time wasted waiting for another delivery
Shallow Depth, Cable Entry from top or bottom:

Keystone Mounting
Compatibility between Volition copper and fibre jacks and many other accessories on the market using the standard keystone mounting

Accepts both solid conductors from AWG 26 to 22 and stranded conductors:
Compatible with all cables on the market and enables ‘jack to plug’ cables to be manufactured using stranded conductors (for use in open office architectures)
Integral shutter:
