Before installing or using this unit, please read all instructions and cautionary markings in this installation guide.

WARNING All electrical installation and repair work should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with current local codes or regulations.

WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! If casing is removed or handled improperly the internal components of the unit may cause harm or become permanently damaged.

WARNING

  1. Do not allow the hand dryer to be used for any purpose other than drying hands.
  2. Use this unit only in the manner intended.
  3. If service is required, turn the power OFF.
  4. Any metallic items in contact with the hand dryer must be grounded.
  5. Do not install the unit above any electrical equipment.
  6. The hand dryer is designed for dry, indoor use only.
  7. If the electrical outlet you intend to use is not adequately grounded, you should have a qualified electrician install the proper outlet.
  8. Do not use this unit with any extension cords or adapter plugs.
  9. Consult local and national accessibility codes and regulations for revelvent installation guidelines.
  10. Conformity and compliance is the responsibility of the installer.
  11. If using the supplied power adapter, do not plug this cord into a loose electrical outlet.
  12. Do not block air outlets or intake with obstacles. Do not insert any objects into the hand dryer.
  13. To clean the housing, use a soft cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning material as it may scratch the unit.
  14. Do not spray any cleaning liquids or water in the direction of the hand dryer.

  1. Failure to disconnect the power source before installation or servicing may result in serious injury or death from shock.
  2. Failure to properly ground this unit could result in sever electrical shock.
  3. Improper mounting could result in personal injury or property damage.
  4. To provide continued protection against risk or electric shock, connect to properly grounded outlet only

PRE-INSTALLATION

  • Ensure that the unit is installed in compliance with all building codes and/or regulations.
  • The unit must be mounted on a flat vertical wall capable of supporting the full weight of the unit.
  • Use fixings as specified in this installation guide.
  • Ensure no pipe work (gas, water, air) or electrical cables, wires or ductwork are located directly behind the drilling/mounting area.
  • All metal parts in contact with this unit MUST be grounded
  • Do not use sealant when fixing the unit to the wall.

INSTALLATION

This hand dryer provides maximum flexibility when installing the hand dryer.
Installation is available using the supplied power cable or by hard-wire installation.

Check local and general regulations before installing the hand dryer. Ensure that the electrical network is not overloaded. Do not connect to a branch circuit rated less than the amperage of this hand dryer.

Installation Instructions – Using supplied Power Cable

A 2.1m (6.9ft) power cable is supplied with this unit. When choosing to use the supplied power cable, proceed as outlined below.

  1. Use the supplied Allen key and carefully remove the stainless steel hand dryer cover. Pull the stainless steel cover upwards to remove as shown in Figure 1.

  2. Connect the supplied power cable to the terminal block (a) the negative cable to the negative terminal (labeled N). (b). the ground cable to the ground terminal and (c). the positive cable to the positive terminal (labeled L). as shown in Figure 2.

  3. Turn the Power button “ON”. Determine whether you want the hand dryer set to hot air or cool air.
    Important Note: Hot air setting will help dry hands quicker than cool dry setting. Refer to Figure 2 to set to hot or cool setting.

  4. Determine the mounting location. Refer to Mounting the Unit for recommended height settings.

  5. Use the hand dryer base as a template to mark the 4 drill hole locations.

  6.  Drill the 4 holes and insert the supplied plastic anchors.

  7. Mount the hand dryer to the wall using the supplied screws as show in figure 3.

  8. Place the stainless steel cover back on the hand dryer as shown in Figure 4.

Installation Instructions – Hard Wire Installation

Hard wire installation should only be carried out by a qualified electrician to ensure the cables used and installation is done in accordance with current local codes or regulations.

  1. Disconnect the power source.

  2. Use the supplied Allen key and carefully remove the stainless steel hand dryer cover. Pull the stainless steel cover upwards to remove as shown in Figure 5.

  3. Feed the power supply wires through the knock out hole as shown in Figure 6. Connect to the terminal block (i)the negative cable to the negative terminal (labeled ). The ground cable to the ground terminal (labeled ). Iii). The positive cable to the positive terminal (labeled L).

  4.  Turn the Power button “ON”. Determine whether you want the hand dryer set to hot air or cool air.
    Important Note: Hot air setting will help dry hands quicker than cool dry setting.Refer to Figure 6.

  5. Determine the mounting location. Refer to the Mounting the Unit for recommended height setting.

  6. Use the hand dryer base as a template to mark the 4 drill hole locations.

  7. Drill the 4 holes and insert plastic anchors.

  8. Mount the hand dryer to the wall using the supplied screws as show in figure 3.

  9. Connect the hand dryer to the nearest suitable distribution panel.
    Ensure each hand dryer has its own dedicated circuit.

  10. Place the stainless steel cover back on the hand dryer as shown in Figure 7.

MAINTENANCE

Exterior Maintenance
The exterior cover should be cleaned with a damp cloth to remove dust and surface dirt.Do not use abrasive agents or solvents as it may permanently damage surface of cover.

Replacement of HEPA Filter
Excessive lint and dust build up inside the hand dyer can damage the motor and heating element.
Excessive build up can also increase the hand dyer’s air temperature and risk injury to user. Light to moderate use should require the HEPA filter to be changed about once a year. If the hand dryer is located in a high traffic area, the HEPA filter should be replaced every 6 months.

  1. Disconnect the power before performing any maintenance.
  2. Loosen the stainless steel cover using the supplied Allen key.
  3. Open the air inlet panel as shown below. Remove the HEPA filter and replace it with a new HEPA filter.
  4. Close the inlet panel.
  5. Place the stainless steel cover back on unit and tighten the screws.

Note: If the hand dryer is installed where there is a lot of dust and dirt in the air, the HEPA filter should be cleaned more frequently.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Symptom Corrective Action
Hand Dryer does not start
  • With stainless steel cover off – check to ensure that the Power Switch is ‘ON’.
  • Check electrical connections.
  • Possible defective sensor or motor.
  • Replace the IR sensor or motor.
  • Contact customer service for further instructions.

Dryer Blows Cool Air|

  • With stainless steel cover – check to ensure that the heat ON/OFF is set to ON (hot air setting).
  • Possible defective heat element needs to be replaced.
  • Contact customer service.

Hand dryer will not shut off|

  • The sensor is dirty or there is a reflection.
  • Clean the IR sensor.
  • Ensure that there is no possible reflection from another object.

This Limited Warranty does not cover any failures or operating difficulties due to normal wear and tear, accident, abuse, misuse, alteration, misapplication, improper installation or improper maintenance or service by the Purchaser or any third party, or failure to perform normal and routine maintenance on the unit, as set out in the Installation Guide. In addition, the Limited Warranty does not cover damages to the finish, such as scratches, dents, discoloration or rust after purchase.
