ARITECH DC111 Magnetic Contact
Description
The DC111 is a triple-biased surface-mounted magnetic contact designed to
be connected to a burglar alarm system. It provides additional security with a
magnetic field tamper and pry-off tamper. The DC111 can be used on both
ferromagnetic and nonferromagnetic environments and doors.
Mounting
- To mount the DC111, ensure that the magnetic contact and the magnet are parallel to each other with the text facing the same direction. Use screws to secure them in place.
- If pry-off tamper supervision is required, mount the tamper plate (item 1) in the desired position using the two middle holes (item 2), and then mount the contact. If necessary, install the magnet on the magnet spacer plate (item 3) to align the contact and magnet positions.
- Note: The tamper plate (item 1) contains a separate magnet. Do not replace it with the magnet spacer plate (item 3) as it will cause the pry-off tamper supervision to fail.
- During installation, ensure there is a minimum mounting distance between the magnetic contact and the magnet. This distance needs to be determined individually for each contact.
- After installation, check the electrical switch function of the magnetic contact using a continuity checker or multimeter. Avoid using excessive mechanical force during installation to prevent damage to reed switches.
- Note: Consider temperature influences that may cause doors to bend when installing the contact.

Description
DC111 is a triple-biased surface-mounted magnetic contact that can be connected to a burglar alarm system. For additional security, it also includes a magnetic field tamper and pry-off tamper. DC111 can be used on ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic environments and doors.
Mounting
- The magnetic contact and the magnet should be mounted parallel to each other and with the text facing the same direction, using screws.
- If pry-off tamper supervision is required, mount the tamper plate (item 1) in the desired position using two middle holes (item 2), and then mount the contact. To align the contact and the magnet positions, if necessary, install the magnet on the magnet spacer plate (item 3).
Note:
The tamper plate (item 1) contains a separate magnet. Do not replace it with
the magnet spacer plate (item 3), otherwise, the pry-off tamper supervision
will fail.
Because this is a triple-biased contact, there is a minimum mounting distance between the magnetic contact and the magnet. This distance is:
- For non-ferromagnetic material: minimum of 10 mm between magnetic contact and magnet.
- For ferromagnetic material: minimum of 8 mm between magnetic contact and magnet.
During installation, the switching distances have to be individually determined for each contact. When the installation is completed, the electrical switch function of the magnetic contact must be checked (for example, with a continuity checker or multimeter). Use of mechanical force, for example, when installing, can damage glass bodies of reed switches.
Note:
When installing the contact please keep in mind that the doors can bend under
temperature influence.
