WARNINGS
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. (be applicable for the European Countries).

If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his technical service or a similarly qualified person in order to eliminate all possible risks.

Ordinary maintenance of the air outlet/inlet grilles and general external cleaning can also be performed by the user, as they do not involve difficult or dangerous operations.

At each maintenance operation, it is necessary to respect the precautions indicated in this manual and on the labels located inside or on the appliance, as well as to take
all the precautions suggested by common sense and by the Safety
Regulations in force in the country of installation. -
During cleaning, remove the plug from the socket.

In case of replacement of parts, use only original OLIMPIA SPLENDID parts.

Do not use liquid or corrosive detergents to clean the unit, and do not spray water or other liquids onto the unit, since they could damage the plastic components or even cause electric shocks.

In case of functioning anomalies (for example abnormal noise, bad smell, smoke, abnormal increase in temperature, electrical dispersions, etc.), immediately switch off the appliance and disconnect the plug from the power socket.
For repair work contact solely the technical service centers authorized by the manufacturer and ask for original spare parts to be used. Failure to do this can affect the safety of the appliance. -
Do not disconnect the power plug during functioning. Fire or electrical shocks hazard. 14a. Always unreel the cable completely during use.

Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.

Before connecting, make sure that the plate data corresponds with the mains electrical supply. The data plate is located on the appliance.
58. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance. -
If the appliance’s plug is incompatible with the socket, have the socket replaced with a suitable one by a qualified technician, who must ascertain that the section of the
socket cables is compatible with the power absorbed by the appliance. We do not recommend using adaptors and/or extension cables. If they cannot be avoided, however, they must comply with current safety regulations and their ampacity (A) must not be below the maximum ampacity of the appliance. -
DO NOT use the appliance near flammable objects, explosives and heat sources. Do not use this product under direct sunlight or near a heat source such as a stove, heater or radiator.

Always and only use the appliance in a vertical position.

Do not obstruct the air inlet and outlet grids in any manner.
-
Do not insert extraneous items in the air inlet and outlet grids as this will create the risk of electrical shocks, fire or damages to the appliance.

For correct use of the appliance NEVER:
– Place it immediately underneath a mains wall socket.
– Pull the power cable or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the mains socket.
– Leave it expose to atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc.).
– Leave it plugged in when not in use.
– Touch it with wet or damp hands. -
Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire, electric shock or injury.

Do not position the appliance directly under an air conditioner in order to avoid condensation drips inside the appliance. This unit shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water.

Neither disassemble nor modify the appliance.

Repairing the appliance by yourself is extremely dangerous.

Always place the appliance on a stable, plane and levelled surface.

Leave at least 30cm of free space on both sides and behind the appliance and leave at least 50cm of free space above it. Do not place the device near curtains to avoid obstructing the air outlet (Fig.B-B1).

Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or shows signs of damage.

The socket must be easily accessible so that the plug can be removed easily in an emergency.

Do not handle the plug with wet hands.

Do not excessively bend, twist, pull or damage the power cord.

Do not run the cord under carpeting, throw rugs or runners etc. Arrange cord away from traffic areas so that it will not be tripped over.

- Unplug the cord when unit is not in use for an extended period of time and/or when no one is home.

Do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces. Avoid dropping liquids on the appliance. Do not use the appliance near sinks and taps.

Do not immerse the appliance in water or in other liquids.

This appliance is not intended to be run via an external timer or with a separate remote control system.

Do not use the appliance in case of malfunctioning or faults, if the cord or plug are damaged, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Turn the appliance off, disconnect the plug from the socket and let it be checked by professionally qualified personnel.

This product is NOT suitable for use in hot and humid areas (kitchen, bathroom, etc).

The unit should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except specialized technicians.

Install the appliance at at least 2 meters from other electronic devices (TV, radio, computer, dvd player, etc.) in order to avoid disturbances.

Avoid positioning the product outdoors. Do not blow air directly towards people, especially children and elderly.
43a.It is forbidden to dispose of or leave in the reach of children the packaging materials which could become a source of danger. -
Make sure the plug is always completely inserted in the power socket.

This appliance contains an UV emitter. Do not stare at the light source.

Clean the appliance with a damp cloth; do not use abrasive products or materials. See the appropriate paragraph for the filters cleaning.

The most common cause of overheating is dust or lint deposit in the appliance. Regularly remove these accumulations by disconnecting the appliance from the power socket and vacuuming the grids.
-
Do not use the appliance if insecticide gas has just been sprayed in the room or in the presence of burning incenses, chemical vapours or oily residues.
-
Do not use the appliance if the filter is not positioned correctly.
-
Disassembly, repair or reconversion performed by an unauthorized person could cause heavy damages and will cancel the manufacturer warranty.
-
If you no longer wish to use this appliance, it must be made inoperative by cutting the power supply cable after removing the plug from the power socket. Hazardous parts of the appliance must be rendered harmless, especially as there is a risk of children playing with it.

This product is in compliance with the maximum permitted ozone concentration of 0,050 parts per million in volume (ppmv) in a period of 24 hours. The Health Canada Guideline 2010 (ISBN 978-1-100-16288-1) recommends that the maximum limit of exposition, based on an average time of 8 hours, is 0,020 ppmv or less when tested in a sealed and controlled room of approximately 30 m 3 .
This product must be used exclusively according to the specifications
indicated in this manual. Use different to that specified, could cause serious
injuries.

PROPER USE
- This appliance is only designed for domestic use or similar, not for commercial or industrial use.
- Improper use of the appliance with possible damages caused to people, things or animals releases OLIMPIA SPLENDID from any responsibility.
1 – MAIN FEATURES AND FUNCTIONING

Air re-filtering system, effective for ash, hair, pollens, smoke, and unpleasant odors removal.
-
The filter (2) is composed of: – The pre-filter effectively blocks the impurities contained in air (hair, paper, and other materials), considerably improving the HEPA filter duration. – The HEP A filter filters 99,999% of the particles with a 0,3-micron diameter. It is specifically designed to remove dust, cigarette smoke, bacteria, soot, pollen, and radioactive particles.
– The high-quality active charcoal filter effectively removes the odors contained in air, such as formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia and water particles. -
UV system kills bacteria, viruses and germs.

Negative ions generator: the appliance continuously emanates over 2 million negative ions which help improve air quality in the environment.

Timer function: from 2h, 4h, 8h.

Touch display.

ALLISON
2.1 – WARNINGS
A failure to respect what follows may cause damage to the appliance.
a. Install the appliance on a flat, stable surface and on the floor.
b. The appliance must only be connected to earthed power outlets.
c. Make sure that curtains or other objects do not obstruct the air suction
filters.
d. The appliance must always be activated paying attention that there are no
obstacles for air suction and output.
e. Do not use the appliance in places used as laundry rooms.
f. The appliance must only be installed in dry places.
g. The appliance must not be activated in the presence of dangerous materials,
vapors or liquids.

3.2 – APPLIANCE PREPARATION
a. Remove the appliance from the packaging and make sure it is intact.
b. Select a stable, leveled and plane location where to place the appliance.
Make sure there is enough free space around the appliance to ensure correct
airflow.
Respect the distances and spaces described in the paragraph “0.3 – General
warnings”.
c. Remove the rear panel (1) by pressing the lever (1a) and pulling it towards
yourself.
d. Remove the filter from its bag before use.
e. Correctly position the filter (2) in the appliance.
f. Position the rear panel (1) on the appliance body (6) by inserting the
lower hooks (1b) in the specific seats (6b) first, then press the lever (1a)
and push the panel (1) until you hook it (fig.C).
Do not use the appliance without the filter (2) or if the latter is dirty
or worn-out
g. Use the specific handle (8) in order to move the appliance.
h. Insert the plug in the power socket, the appliance switches on the display
for a few seconds and emits a beep.
Before electrically connecting the appliance, make sure the plate data
correspond to those of the electricity distribution network.
3.3 – USE
Each time the keys are pressed, the appliance emits a “beep”.
3.3.a – ON/OFF key
By pressing the ON/OFF (T1) key, the appliance switches on, and the LED (D3)
lights up on the display, detecting the number of impurities in the air
(reference value “PM 2.5”). During preheating (approximately 30 seconds), the
UV lamp (10) changes color following this sequence: Blue –> Cyan –> Green –>
Yellow –> Orange –> Red –> Purple –> Blue –> … After the 30 seconds have
passed, the UV lamp (10) changes to a single color depending on the detected
air quality.
Ex. Blue lamp: good air quality, the appliance works in low mode.
Yellow lamp: medium air quality, the appliance works in medium mode.
Red lamp: low air quality, the appliance works in high mode.
To switch off the appliance, press the key ON/OFF (T1) again.
3.3.b – Fan speed
By pressing the mode key (T2), 3 different modes can be selected:
– “Auto” (Led D1) adjusts fan speed based on air quality.
– “Turbo” (Led D2) the fan works at maximum speed.
– “Sleep” (Led D4) once this mode is selected, after approximately 5 seconds
the display switches off and the fan speed is automatically set to the
minimum.
Press the key (T2) again or any other key to deactivate the mode.
3.3.c – Ions/UV mode
By pressing the key “ION/UV” (T3), it is possible to set the UV lamp (10)
intensity following this sequence: Soft (low brightness) –> Standard (maximum
brightness) –> Lamp off –> Soft –> … By pressing the key “ION/UV” (T3) for
approximately 3 seconds, the function “IONS” activates.
Press the “ION/UV” key (T3) again for approximately 3 seconds to deactivate
the function.
3.3.d – Timer function
When the appliance is on, by pressing the key “Timer” (T4) the LED (D6)
changes according to this sequence:
Off — > 2h —> 4h —> 8h —> Off —> 2h —> … When the desired value is set,
the corresponding LED (D6) remains steady on.
3.3.e – Wifi function
Press the key “Timer” (T4) for approximately 5 seconds to activate the “Wifi”
function; the LED (D8) starts to blink.
When the appliance connects with your smartphone, the LED (D8) stops blinking
and remains switched on steadily on the display.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before proceeding with any maintenance and cleaning operation, always make
sure to disconnect the power plug from the socket.
Do not wash nor soak the appliance in water. Prevent water from entering in
contact with the internal components of the appliance. Risk of electric
shocks!
4.1 – CLEANING
a. Clean the appliance body (6) and the rear panel (1) with a wet cloth and
with a mild detergent if necessary (fig.D).
b. Clean the air suction grid (6a), the air inlet and outlet grid with a
brush. If necessary, blow compressed air for a more thorough cleaning (fig.D).
Do not use a chemically treated or antistatic cloth to clean the appliance.
Do not use gasoline, solvent, polish or similar solvents.
These products could cause the breakage or deformation of the plastic surface.
Make sure the appliance is completely dry before reconnecting the plug to the
power socket.
Do not allow dust too accumulate in order to avoid malfunctions.
4.2 – FILTER MAINTENANCE (Fig.E)
a. Remove the rear panel (1) by pressing the lever (1a) and pulling the panel
towards yourself.
b. Remove the filter (2) by means of the two tabs (2a) and clean dust on the
surface.
It is advised to sterilize the filter by exposing it to sunlight.
c. Use a soft cloth with a neutral detergent to clean the inside of the
appliance (Fig.E).
d. Reposition the filter (2) inside the appliance making sure the tabs (2a)
are positioned in the same way as before (Fig.F).
e. Reposition the rear panel (1) on the appliance body (6) by inserting the
lower hooks (1b) in the specific seats (6b) first, then press the lever (1a)
and push the panel (1) until you hook it.
Do not wash the filter. Do not use a vacuum cleaner directly into contact
with the filter.
4.3 – FILTER REPLACEMENT (Fig.H)
After approximately 2200 hours of operation, the warning LED “Filter to be
replaced” (D5) blinks (red), indicating that the filter MUST be replaced
(Fig.G).
Do not use the appliance without a filter or if the latter is damaged.
Do not use the appliance beyond the 2200 h of operation without changing the
filter.
a. Remove the rear panel (1) by pressing on the lever (1a) and pulling towards
yourself.
b. Extract the filter (2) by means of the two tabs (2a).
c. Replace the filter (2) with a new one.
d. Reposition the filter (2) inside the appliance making sure the tabs (2a)
are positioned in the same way as before.
e. Reposition the rear panel (1) on the appliance body (6) by inserting the
lower hooks (1b) in the specific seats (6b) first, then press the lever (1a)
and push the panel (1) until you hook it.
After the replacement of the filter, press the button (T2) for approximately
7 seconds; the appliance resets its usage time (2200 h).
STORAGE
- In case you have no intention of using the appliance for a long period of time, clean it as indicated in the previous paragraphs.
- Position the appliance in its original packaging and store it in a dry and fresh environment, far from direct exposition to sunlight.
Do not store the appliance in moist or particularly dirty environments.

TROUBLESHOOTING
a. The appliance doesn’t work when pressing the power button.
– The plug is not correctly inserted in the power socket.
– The power socket doesn’t work.
– If the LED (D5) continues to blink, the filter must be replaced (2).
b. The appliance is particularly noisy.
– The appliance is not positioned correctly on the supporting surface.
– The supporting surface is not stable.
c. The outgoing air flow is particularly weak.
– The filter is dirty.
– There’s no space on the sides of the appliance (minimum 30 cm).
– The air suction grid is dirty.
– The air suction grid is clogged or partially clogged.
– The air outlet grid is dirty.
– The air outlet grid is clogged or partially clogged.
d. Even after a certain use of the appliance, air quality doesn’t improve.
– The filter is dirty.
e. The appliance emits bad smell.
– The appliance may emit bad smell when it is switched on for the first time
after purchase.
– The appliance may emit bad smell it is switched on after a long period of
inactivity.
– The filter is dirty.
If the smell persists or if a smell of burning can also be smelled,
immediately disconnect the appliance from the power socket and contact the
technical assistance service of the manufacturer.
