SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Only use the supplied mains adapter and charger.

  • Do not touch the power cord, plug or mains adapter with wet hands.

  • Do not let the product get wet. Do not expose the product to rain or moisture.

  • Keep your hands and the rest of your body away from the drive wheels.

  • Do not use the product to vacuum up burning or glowing objects, such as cigarettes or hot ash.

  • Never vacuum up flammable or toxic substances such as petrol, toner powder, acid or asbestos dust.

  • The product is only intended for indoor use.

  • Avoid pulling or twisting the cord. Do not place heavy objects on the power cord.
    Keep the power cord away from sharp edges.

  • Do not stand or sit on the product.

  • Do not put any objects on the product.

  • Do not leave children or pets unsupervised in the vicinity of the product.

  • Do not put the product on a table, or chair, where it can fall down.

  • Switch off the product before transporting it.

  • Switch off the product if it is not going to be used.

  • Switch off the product and pull out the power cord removing the battery.

  • Do not use product in direct sunlight or temperatures over 40°C.

  • Do not allow persons without sufficient experience, knowledge or training to use the product.

  • Must only be used with charger α106.

DESCRIPTION

Robot vacuum cleaner with automatic self-emptying in the supplied station. High and adjustable suction power.
This is a SMART product that can be connected to existing WiFi and controlled via the Smart Life app or with the help of a voice assistant.
Does not require separate hub/router. In the app you can control all SMART products and use functions such as timer controlled, scheduled and automated events.

    Description

REMOTE CONTROL

When no buttons are pressed, the time is shown on the display on the remote control. If there is a scheduled task, the schedule icon will also be displayed.

  1. Scheduling mode
    Press this button in standby or run mode to activate scheduled vacuuming. The icon for scheduling mode is displayed on the remote control’s display.

  2. Start/pause
    In standby mode, press this button to start automatic vacuum cleaning.
    In sleep mode, press this button to put the vacuum cleaner in standby mode.
    In run mode, press this button to put the vacuum cleaner in standby mode.
    In the intermediate charging mode, press this button to put the vacuum cleaner in run mode.

  3. Suction power
    Press this button to adjust the required suction power: Low, normal or high.
    The icon shows the set run mode. Press the button while the vacuum cleaner is running to switch between modes.

  4. Water flow
    Press this button to set the required flow from the water tank: None, low, medium, or maximum.
    The icon shows the set run mode.
    NOTE:
    When the water tank is installed, the vacuum cleaner automatically switches to low suction power when the button for adjusting the water flow is pressed.

  5. Clock
    Activate the clock setting mode by pressing the clock button in standby mode. The date icon flashes. Use the arrow buttons up and down to set the date. Press the start button to go to setting the hour (setting range 0–23). Use the arrow buttons to set the hour. Press the right arrow button to go to the minutes setting (setting range 0-59). Use the arrow buttons up and down to set the minutes. Press the clock button to confirm the setting. This completes the setting. When setting the hour/minutes, the left and right arrow buttons can be used to switch between setting the hour and minutes.
    NOTE:
    Point the remote control’s signal transmitter towards the signal receiver on the vacuum cleaner when confirming with the clock button, otherwise the vacuum cleaner may not receive the signal. In which case the setting will not be registered.

  6. Intermediate charging
    Press this button to charge the vacuum cleaner in standby or run mode. The icon for intermediate charging is shown on the remote control’s display.

  7. Direction buttons
    Use these buttons in standby mode or run mode to control the movement of the vacuum cleaner.
    Use these buttons in standby mode to set the clock or make scheduled settings.

  8. Schedule
    Press this button to activate schedule setting mode. The schedule icon is flashes along with the date icon. Press the left and right buttons  to set the date. Once the required date has been set, press the up arrow button to select the set date, or press the down arrow button to cancel. The setting of the next date is shown. When the date icon flashes, press the start button to go to set the hour. Hours for scheduled time flash. Use the arrow button up and down to set hours (setting range 0–23). Press the right arrow button to go to the minutes setting. Use the arrow buttons up and down to set the minutes (setting range 0–59). Press the schedule button to confirm the setting.
    Use the left and right arrow buttons to switch between setting the hours and setting the minutes.

  9. Wall following
    Press this button in standby mode or run mode to activate wall following. The icon for wall following is shown on the remote control’s display.

  10. Spot cleaning/room vacuuming
    Press this button in standby mode or run mode to activate spot cleaning/room vacuuming.

Setting the voice language for the charging station

Press the suction power setting button on the remote control within 30 seconds after starting to set the required voice language.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Check that the smartphone is connected to the WiFi network 2.4 GHz and switch on the bulb.
WiFi router. iPhone, iPad (IOS 11.0 or higher) or Android (5.0 or higher). Works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa etc.

USE

TO DO BEFORE USE

  1. Remove fragile objects, cords, clothing, and paper. Fold up curtains and drapes that the vacuum cleaner might get caught in.
  2. Roll up the edges of carpets, or only use the vacuum cleaner on short-pile carpets.
  3. Arrange furniture so that the vacuum cleaner cannot get stuck.
  4. Remove cords and objects from the floor.
  5. Use a fall protection device to ensure that the vacuum cleaner does not fall down stairs.
  6. Check that the dust container is empty before starting the vacuum cleaner.
  7. Charge the vacuum cleaner for 6 hours before using it for the first time.

  • Blue light off: Sleep mode
INSTALLATION
  1. Place the charging station with dust collection in the required place.
  2. Plug in the mains adapter. The voltage indicator light on the charging station goes on.

IMPORTANT:
Make sure there are no obstacles within 1 metre to the left, and 2 metres in front of the charging station.

CHARGING

The vacuum cleaner can be charged in three ways as follows. The status light goes off when battery is fully charged.

  • In standby or run mode, press the intermediate charging button in the app. The vacuum cleaner goes automatically to the charging station for charging.
  • In standby or run mode, press the intermediate charging button on the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner goes automatically to the charging station for charging.
  • In standby or run mode, press the intermediate charging button on the remote control. The vacuum cleaner goes automatically to the charging station for charging.

NOTE:

  • If the battery is completely discharged and you cannot start the vacuum cleaner, manually place the vacuum cleaner in the charging station for charging. The charging terminals must be aligned with each other. Check that the side brush is not positioned between the terminals.

  • If the start button is pressed during ongoing charging, the charging process is interrupted, and the vacuum cleaner starts.

STARTING/STOPPING

Press the start button For 3 seconds. The start button lights up, and the vacuum cleaner starts.

  • When the battery has discharged below 20%, the vacuum cleaner automatically returns to the charging station for charging.
  • After completing the vacuuming, the vacuum cleaner automatically switches to intermediate charging mode and begins searching for the charging station.

NOTE:

  • If the vacuum cleaner stops, check the charging status of the battery.

  • The sensor range is 2 m from the charging station. Check that the charging station is connected to the mains and that there are no obstacles in the way, otherwise the vacuum cleaner may have difficulty finding the charging station.

Start/pause/standby mode

The vacuum cleaner’s run mode changes as follows: Sleep mode > standby mode > run mode.

  • Sleep mode: The vacuum cleaner is in sleep mode and the status light is off.

  • Standby mode: The vacuum cleaner is in standby mode, blue flashing light.

  • Run mode: The vacuum cleaner is running, and the button is lit with a constant light.

    • When the vacuum cleaner is in standby mode it automatically goes into sleep mode after 3 minutes of no activity.
      When the vacuum cleaner is in sleep mode, press the start button to activate. Press the start button again to start the product.

    • Pause by pressing the start button on the product or the power on/off button on the remote control or in the app. Pause means that the product switches from run mode to standby mode.

NOTE:
If the product is not going to be used for some time, switch it off by pressing the start button until the product switches off.

VACUUM CLEANING MODES

All vacuuming modes can be interrupted with the start button on the vacuum cleaner.

Smart vacuum cleaning

In standby mode, press the button “Smart cleaning” or the start button on the vacuum cleaner. Plan the vacuuming by filling in the lines xxxx in order, so that the entire floor surface is covered. After completing the vacuuming, the vacuum cleaner automatically returns to the charging station.

Wall following

Select mode “Wall Follow cleaning” in the app on the phone. The vacuum cleaner vacuums along walls and round obstacles. Run mode remains active until it is changed manually. Wall following can be activated in automatic mode.

Spiral vacuum cleaning

Select mode “Spiral cleaning” in the app. The vacuum cleaner starts from its position and moves in an increasingly larger spiral. When the vacuuming is completed, the vacuum cleaner stops and automatically goes into standby mode. Manual intervention is required to continue. Run mode remains unchanged if it is not changed manually.

INSTALL APP

  1. 3. Scan the QR code to download the Smart Life app. Or search at App Store or Google Play.

  2. 4. Start the app to register, or log into your account.

Registration

Registration can be done using a mobile phone number or an email address. *Country-specific settings follow the mobile phone system, but it is possible to manually change the country code/country settings before completing the registration (after completing the registration, changes cannot be made).

Log in

If you already have an account, click on ‘Log in with an existing account’ under ‘Create a new account’, enter the mobile phone number or email address used for registration and enter the password to log in, after which the iOS operating system can use the Apple ID for login.

CONNECT PRODUCT
  1. Press the “+” in the upper right corner to add the vacuum cleaner under “Small devices”.

  2. Select WiFi network, enter the password and click on “Next” to confirm the connection.

  3. Press the intermediate charging button for 3 to 5 seconds. The status light flashes rapidly and when the button is released an audio prompt is given to indicated that connection to the network is possible.
    Check that the status light flashes rapidly and confirm by clicking on “Confirm that status light is flashing rapidly” to add the device.

  4. Connection when the status light flashes rapidly: Press the start button on the vacuum cleaner for 3 to 5 seconds. Release the button when an audio signal is heard. When the status light on the vacuum cleaner is flashing rapidly, click on “Confirm that status light is flashing rapidly” and enter the WiFi password. Click on “Confirm” to confirm. The vacuum cleaner goes into standby mode.
    Repeat the above steps if a Connection Failed message is displayed on your phone.

  5. Connection when the status light flashes slowly: If it is not possible to connect the vacuum cleaner when the status light flashes rapidly, try connecting when it flashes slowly. Press the upper right corner of the screen in the app to switch to hotspot connection (compatibility mode).
    Press the intermediate charging button for 3 to 5 seconds. Release the button when an audio signal is heard. The status light on the vacuum cleaner starts flashing rapidly. Press the intermediate charging button for 3 to 5 seconds. Release the button when an audio signal is heard. The status light on the vacuum cleaner starts flashing slowly. Press the “Next” button to go to the hotspot connection screen and then press the “Go to Connect” button. Select “SmartLife-xxxx”.
    Go back to the app Smart Life when the connection is completed. Wait until the network connection has completed.
    Repeat the above steps if a Connection Failed message is displayed on your phone.

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE SIDE BRUSHES

If necessary, clean the side brushes with water.
Allow to dry completely before refitting them. Replace the side brushes if they become damaged or are not working properly.

NOTE:
Place the side brush marked L on the left hand side, and the side brush marked R on the right-hand side of the vacuum cleaner.

CLEANING THE DUST CONTAINER AND FILTER

Empty and clean the dust container after use.

  1. Press the release button for the dust container and pull the dust container out in the direction of the arrow.
  2. Open the dust container.
  3. Empty the dust container.
  4. Remove the primary filter, HEPA filter, and foam filter.
  5. Carefully clean the dust container, primary filter and the HEPA filter. Clean the primary filter every 15 to 30 days and replace the HEPA filter after every 150 hours of operation.
  6. Fit all parts correctly before starting the vacuum cleaner. Never use the vacuum cleaner without the HEPA filter and primary filter in place, this can damage the vacuum cleaner.

NOTE:

  1. Clean all the parts and allow to dry completely in the shade before reattaching them to the vacuum cleaner.
    Do not expose the parts to sunlight.

  2. Do not wash the HEPA filter med water.

  3. If the primary filter or HEPA filter are damaged, they must be replaced before using the vacuum cleaner again, otherwise the motor can be damaged.

CLEANING THE SENSOR WINDOW AND CHARGING CONTACTS

Carefully clean the vacuum cleaner’s sensor window and charging contacts with the cleaning tool or a soft cloth.

CLEANING THE ROLLER BRUSH
  1. Press both the release buttons and remove the roller brush cover.
  2. Take hold of one end of the roller brush and lift the brush out.
  3. Remove any hair, dust, etc. caught in the roller brush with the cleaning tool. Be careful not to lose the rubber sleeve over the ball bearing.
  4. Replace the roller brush and cover.

NOTE:
Always remove the dust container from the vacuum cleaner before maintenance to prevent dust and debris from falling out.

REPLACING THE BATTERY
  1. Loosen the screws that hold the battery cover in place on the underside of the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Remove the battery cover and pull on the tab to lift the battery out.
  3. Gently press the battery holder release to detach the battery from the vacuum cleaner.
  4. Repeat the above steps in the reverse order to put in the new battery.
  5. Start the vacuum cleaner and check that it is working properly.

NOTE:

  • Only use batteries of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Charge the new battery for 12 hours before using them for the first time.
REPLACING THE HEPA FILTER IN THE CHARGING STATION
  1. Press the release button for the air outlet cover on the back of the station, remove the cover, and take out the HEPA filter.
  2. Repeat the steps in the reverse order to replace the HEPA filter and air outlet cover.
REPLACING THE DUST BAG
  1. Open the lid.
  2. Take out the dust bag and discard it.
  3. Clean the filter.
  4. Put in a new bag.
  5. Close the lid.

Follow the instructions below if the above steps do not solve the problem.

  • Movie the vacuum cleaner away from the charging station and press the start button for 3 seconds to start. If this did not help, open the battery compartment and remove and disconnect the battery. Wait 5 minutes, replace the battery and try starting the vacuum cleaner.
  • Contact the retailer if the problem persists after the vacuum cleaner has been restarted.
FAULT INDICATIONS ON CHARGING STATION

Charging Blue constant light.
Fault on charging station, including that dust bag is full. Red light.
Standby mode, including that the product is in dust collection mode. Green
