brennenstuhl JARO 3060 LED Outdoor Floodlight

Product Information

The LED wall floodlight is a versatile lighting solution that can be used both indoors and outdoors. It comes with or without a motion detector, allowing you to customize its functionality according to your needs. The luminaire is designed with safety in mind, featuring durable construction and a high level of protection against dust and water (IP65 rating). The light source is not replaceable, so if it stops functioning, the entire luminaire needs to be disposed of. The luminaire also has an outer flexible cable that cannot be replaced, so any damage to the cable requires disposal of the luminaire. To prevent the risk of strangulation, it is important to securely fix the flexible cables to the wall if they are within reach.

MOUNTING AND CONNECTION TO POWER SUPPLY

Please refer to the illustrations in the Quick Start Guide.

  1. IMPORTANT! (fig. 1) Always switch off the power supply before installation.

  2. The spotlight is delivered with the bracket mounted. For easy installation, it is a good idea to dismantle the bracket of the spotlight and use it as a template for the drilling distance of the holes (fig. 2).

  3. Use the bracket to mark out the drill holes.
For versions with motion detector: The spotlight must be mounted at a height of less than 3 m (fig. 3). Recommended mounting height for models with motion detector: 2.5 m.

  4. Spotlights without motion detectors can be placed anywhere, but reduced brightness must be expected at a greater distance from the illuminated area.

  5. To fix the mounting plate to the wall, follow the steps as described in Fig. 4 to 6.

  6. Now attach the spotlight to the screwed-on bracket (fig. 7).

  7. The swiss version is delivered with the cable connected. Points 8 to 12 can be skipped here.

  8. To connect the spotlight, unscrew the cable lock (fig. 8).

  9. Pay attention to the length specifications when stripping the cable.
The cable sheathing should be stripped a maximum of 20 mm, and the wire insulation 12 to 14 mm (fig. 9). For safety reasons, the PE line should always be longer than the L and N lines! This is enormously important for the tightness of the spotlight.
The length of the cable should be long enough to allow you to fix the spotlight in any position. In addition, you should make sure that the cable is not routed toward the spotlight from above. We recommend a small bend so that rainwater does not flow along the cable to the spotlight.

  10. Slide the cable lock onto the cable (fig. 9).

  11. Now connect the spotlight. To do this, insert the stripped strands into the respective marked sockets N, L, and earth (fig. 10). These are automatically tensioned by a spring, it is not necessary to screw them tight. You can release the stranded wire by pressing the button.

  12. Screw the middle part of the cable closure onto the spotlight and then the closing cap (fig. 11).

  13. Adjust the spotlight to the desired beam angle and fix it in place (fig. 12).

  14. Switch on the power supply again.

  15. The motion detector can be adjusted horizontally by 75° and vertically by 70° to the front / 90° to the rear (fig. 16 and 17).

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION

(only for versions with motion detector/ PIR)

  • This spotlight is equipped with an infrared sensor. It switches on automatically as soon as the sensor detects movement in the surroundings.
  • If possible, do not point the motion detector at swimming pools, heating vents, air conditioners or objects that are subject to large temperature fluctuations.
  • Avoid pointing the motion detector at trees or bushes or at places where pets might often be present.
  • The motion detector can be turned horizontally to the right and left and tilted vertically up and down.
  • When mounting the spotlight, bear in mind that the motion detector is most sensitive to movements that pass across its field of detection and least sensitive to movements that pass directly toward the unit.

Pe rmanent function
The spotlight can be switched on in permanent mode for approx. 4 hours. After 4 hours, the spotlight automatically switches back to normal mode with a motion detector.
The permanent function can be activated by switching on three times within 5 seconds (On / Off / On / Off / On). By switching off/on again, the spotlight is back in motion detector mode.

SETTING THE MOTION DETECTOR

(PIR)

  • There are three controls on the back of the motion detector, see Quick Start Guide figures 19 to 21.

TIME – Time setting (left):

  • With this control you can select any switch-on time between approx. 10 seconds and 5 minutes after the last movement has been detected. Turning the TIME control clockwise decreases the time span, counterclockwise increases it.

SENS – Sensitivity setting (middle):

  • The sensitivity of the sensor depends on the ambient temperature. The lower the ambient temperature, the greater the sensitivity of the motion detector.
  • The sensor is most sensitive when the SENS control is turned fully in the (+) direction.

LUX – Light setting (right):

  • The light setting determines at which brightness the sensor of the spotlight switches on.
  • The (+) position indicates that the sensor operates during the day and at night, in the (-) position the sensor only operates at night. To adjust, wait until the desired ambient brightness is reached. Turn the light adjustment control all the way to the (-) symbol. Slowly turn the control towards the symbol (+) until the spotlight turns on by movement.
  • The spotlight will now switch on from the set brightness when motion is detected.
