Product Usage Instructions

Before using the calf milk and feed heater, please read and follow the safety instructions provided in the manual. It is important to ensure safe usage and proper control of theheater.

Safety Instructions

1. The heater should only be used with the voltage indicated in the nameplate.
2. Do not attempt to open or repair the heater yourself. Only authorized electrical fitters or UKAL should perform repairs.
3. Ensure that at least the upper side of the heating element is immersed in fluid before charging the heater.
4. While heating, the fluid should never sink below the upper side of the heating element.
5. The maximum immersion depth of the heater is indicated on the heater tube. Do not immerse the heater above this maximumdepth.
6. In case of a strong overload, the built-in safety heat controller will switch off the heater. Check the heater for failures immediately and have it repaired by a licensed skilled person.

General Indications and Precautions

1. Use the heater only for the purposes indicated in the product-specific regulations.
2. Avoid touching the fluid when the heater is connected to the mains and immersed in the fluid.
3. Keep children at a distance from the heating place when heating fluids.
4. Do not use a damaged heater. Check for failures immediately and have it repaired by licensed skilled persons.
5. Do not heat near explosives, objects, or gas.
6. Avoid any contact with the heated heating element.

2. This heater is only destined for heating milk and food in combination with fluid (never dry).
3. Respect minimum and maximum immersion depth:
   • Minimum: Upper side of the heating elemnt (food) „MIN“
   • Maximum: Maximum mark shown on heater tube „MAX“
4. Never run heater „dry“ – when not standing in milk or feeding liquid.
5. The heater may only be repaired by either UKAL or an autohized electrical fitter.

Please carefully safe this information. These instructions contain important indications regarding safety and control of the heater.
Attention! Using the heater for undue purposes will lead to dangerous situations. For a save use please mind the following instructions:
Safety instructions

1. Do not expose the synthetic upper part or nor the plug to water or any other fluid.
2. Avoid damaging the cable:
   • don´t pull the heater by the cable
   • don´t pull the power plug by the cable
3. Protect the cable against sharp edges, oil and heat
4. If the heater is not in use, disconnect the plug from the AC mains
5. Always disconnect the plug from the AC mains, when testing or maintenance works are being carried out.
6. Never remove fixed covers nor screws
   Always make sure the heater is complete.

Precaution measures for the calf milk and feed heater

1. the heater may only be used with the voltage indicated in the name plate

1. Ranger of application: The heater is only destined fo heating milk and food in combination with fluid
2. Putting into operation: The safety instructions are always to be observed. In case of working with electrical devices, a safety plug is to be used at all the times. Before putting the heater into operation, it is compulsory to read the operating instructions. Adjusting the right temperatures is described in detail in the operating instruction.
3. Maintenance: Regularly check whether all fastening screws of the heater are securely fitting. Loose screws are to be fastened immediately. Neglecting this point, may lead to utterly dangerous situations. The heater should be cleaned every time it has been used. For exterior cleaning of the synthetic upper part, only use a soft cloth or a piece of cloth moistened in soapy water, in as far as it is free from petrol or solvents, that may attack or damage the synthetic housing. The heating element of the heater may only be cleaned with lukewarm soapy water or with a hand brush.

Operating instructions

Please do note the following, before putting the heater into operation:

1. Only connect the heater to a plug box installed by authorised electrical fitter.

2. Do not touch the fluid, when the heater is connected to the mains.

3. The thermostat controls the temperature of the milk by switching on and off the current:

   • Button position on 2 = approx. 20° Button position on 7 = approx. 70°
   • Button position on 3 = approx. 30° Button position on 8 = approx. 80°
   • Button position on 4 = approx. 40° Button position on 9 = approx. 90°
   • Button position on 5 = approx. 50° Button position on 10 = approx. 100°
   • Button position on 6 = approx. 60°
   • This approximate data should only be used as a rough guideline, since thermostats have technical deviations.
     When the heater is heating, the control lamp will light up!

4. After having put the heater into operation, disconnect the plug from the plug box and leave the heater in the fluid for approx. one minute.

5. The heater should be cleaned every time it has been used.

6. ATTENTION! The synthetic upper part nor the plug may be immersed in the fluid. – do not use acidulated milk.

7. The apparatus may only be repaire either by UKAL or by an authorised electrical fitter.
