CLAS-1-2-42-210Nm-450mm-Torque-Wrench-PRODUCT

Product Information

Product Name: OM 0790BL Torque Wrench
Specifications: 1/2 inch drive, torque range of 42-210Nm, length of 450mm
Function: The torque wrench is designed to apply a specific amount of torque to fasteners, ensuring proper tightening and preventing over- tightening.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ajuster (Adjust): Set the desired torque value on the wrench scale by aligning the appropriate measurement with the reference line.
  2. Aligner (Align): Position the torque wrench square drive onto the fastener or adapter.
  3. Verrouiller (Lock): Lock the collar to prevent accidental adjustment of the torque setting.
  4. Appliquez le couple (Apply torque): Apply force to the handle in a smooth and controlled manner until you hear or feel the click, indicating that the desired torque has been reached.

Safety

  • Always wear eye protection and gloves while using the torque wrench.
  • Do not use the torque wrench on live electrical or high voltage circuits as the handle is not insulated.

Care & Maintenance

  • Store the torque wrench with care, avoiding rough handling or using it as a hammer or level bar.
  • The wrench is lubricated for life and does not require oiling, except for the ratchet head which may be lubricated as needed for smooth operation.
  • Regular calibration is necessary to ensure accuracy. It is the owner’s responsibility to perform calibration at least every 12 months or more frequently depending on the situation.
  • After each use, store the torque wrench in its box to protect it from dirt and humidity.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the torque wrench yourself. Seek assistance from a qualified service station for any disassembly or repair needs to prevent damage to the instrument.

Please refer to the user manual for additional information and safety precautions.

EXTENSIONS & ADAPTERS

  • When using an extension or adapter (increasing the eff ective lenght of the torque wrench) the output torque value wil change. To calculate the new torque output of the wrench use the following formula:

A = L + C x B L

  • A = torque exerted at end of adapter L = distance between square drive and hand position
  • B = wrench scale reading
  • C = lenght of adapter or extension
  • A number of variables including the lenght of the adapter or extension, lenght of the wrench and variations in hand position on the wrench will aff ect the accuracy oh the above calculation.
  • We calibrate each torque wrench at the factory using torques standards according to DIN ISO 6789 & ASME B107. 14M-2004, and certifi es it meets the accuracy requirements of specifi cations DIN ISO 6789 and ASME B107. 14M-2004.
