IP65 SPOT PROFILE MOVING HEAD – GOBO
NOTES ON GOBOS AND GOBO REPLACEMENT
These installation instructions do not replace the user manual of the
associated product!
The gobos in both gobo wheels of the spotlight are interchangeable. Below are
images of the gobos in both gobo wheels.
ATTENTION:
Gobos may only be replaced by qualified specialist personnel. If you are not
qualified to do this, do not try to replace gobos yourself. Refer instead to
professional companies.
When replacing gobos, pay close attention to each step in the OTOS SP6 Moving
Head User Manual under REPLACING GOBOS.

GOBO WHEEL 2, FIXED GOBOS
ALIGN THE GOBO CORRECTLY
When replacing a gobo, make sure that the gobos are inserted in the
corresponding holder in the correct orientation and that there is sufficient
heat resistance; otherwise heat damage to the gobos and gobo holders may
occur. For proper orientation of the gobo, refer to the drawings and
descriptions below. However, if there is any doubt about the orientation and
heat resistance of a particular gobo type, please contact the gobo
manufacturer.
Insert a coated glass gobo into the corresponding gobo holder so that the more
reflective side of the gobo faces the light source. The less reflective side
of the gobo absorbs less heat in this way.
Gobos with a defined orientation (e.g. text gobos) are correctly displayed in the projection if they are correctly displayed when viewed from the side facing the light source.
Glass gobos with surface structure are generally aligned with the structured side towards the light source. In most cases, the gobo is glued into the gobo holder with the help of a heat-resistant special adhesive, as the uneven surface prevents secure installation with a retaining spring.
