multiport adapter while also providing power to charge your computer.
Connect the multiport adapter to your computer by plugging the USB-C male
cable into a USB-C port on your computer. Connect your computer’s power supply
to the USB-C Power Port. This adapter supports up to 100W of power pass
through. Connect to an older laptop using a USB-A 3.0 port with the included
USB-C to USB-A adapter. Power pass through is not supported when USB-A is the
host connection
Connect 1 or 2 external monitors to the HDMI ports. This multiport adapter uses Silicon Motion Instant View technology for universal monitor support on Windows and macOS. Windows has Silicon Motion drivers built-in and the monitors should automatically start working after approximately 1 minute. macOS users, please follow the “Silicon Motion Drivers for macOS” section on Page 4 to install the drivers.
For maximum single display resolution, connect your monitor to HDMI Port 1. Maximum resolution supported in single monitor operation is 4K 3840 x 2160 @30Hz. You can run dual monitors in mirror or extended mode. Maximum resolution supported in dual monitor operation is 1 x 4K 3840 x 2160 @30Hz (HDMI 1) & 1 x Full HD 1920 x 1080 @60Hz (HDMI 2)
Connect your USB-A and USB-C devices to the USB-A and USB-C data ports such as keyboard/mouse, USB flash drives, external storage devices, webcams or other USB peripherals. The maximum data transfer rate is 5Gbps.

multiport adapter or unplug and replot the connection that is experiencing
problems.
If you are using the USB-C multiport adapter to charge your phone, or connect
a large external storage device or other USB devices that consumes a large
amount of power, you must connect your computer’s power supply to the
multiport adapter.
