SALTO XS4 Mini For Australian Mortise Locks
Product Information
The XS4 Mini is a lock installation kit designed specifically for Australian
mortise locks. It is suitable for door thicknesses greater than 80mm. The kit
includes various tools such as TORX 20 and TORX 10 screwdrivers, ALLEN 3
wrench, and PZ (X2) and TORX 20
(X4) screws. The lock model is ELECTRONIC INFO. E30M.
The kit also includes split spindles with different lengths and configurations: SP01840-2, SP01840-A, SP01840-B, SP01840-5, SP01841-9, and SP01841-1. The necessary spindle length depends on the spindle projection and the door thickness.
Product Usage Instructions
- Select the appropriate handing (left or right) for the lock installation.
- Measure the spindle projection of your mortise lock to determine the needed spindle length.
- Refer to the table provided in the manual to find the corresponding split spindle kit (SP01840- x) based on the necessary spindle length.
- If your door thickness is greater than 80mm, follow the instructions for spindles preparation:
- Measure the distance from the outside door face to the mortise lock case (Co).
- Cut the outside spindle based on the following measurements:
* With cover plate: Lo = Co + 7.5mm
* Without cover plate: Lo = Co + 5.5mm- Install the selected split spindle kit according to the provided instructions.
- Ensure the door thickness falls within the recommended range (32 – 50mm, 47 – 70mm, or 67 – 90mm).
- Follow any additional installation steps specific to your mortise lock model.
