Product Usage Instructions
To use the Nosiboo Pro Nasal Aspirator, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
- Before using the nasal aspirator, make sure to read the safety instructions provided in the user manual.
- Choose the appropriate nose tip for your child’s age and needs. The Colibri head with newborn’s nose tip is suitable for newborns, while the standard nose tip is suitable for older infants and children.
- Connect the chosen nose tip securely to the Colibri head.
- Plug in the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet.
- Gently insert the nose tip into your child’s nostril. Be careful not to insert it too deeply.
- Press the on/off control button to start the nasal aspirator. The device will create a gentle suction to remove nasal mucus.
- Move the nose tip around in your child’s nostril to effectively suction out the mucus. Do not keep it in one spot for too long.
- Continue suctioning until your child’s nose is clear of mucus.
- After use, turn off the nasal aspirator by pressing the on/off control button.
- Disconnect the nose tip from the Colibri head and clean it thoroughly using the provided cleaning brush.

Please, follow the instructions provided in this User Manual to obtain the very best performance from your nasal aspirator.
Read all instructions before use. The Nosiboo Pro Nasal Aspirator is a medi- cal device. You may only return the device for a refund if the device is unused and undamaged, and the protective foil on the Colibri head and on the nose tip are intact.

Safety instructions
General use
- DO!
- Use only as directed. Misuse can cause injury or death.
- The device should only be operated by adults.
- DON’T!
- Do not allow children to play with the device. It is NOT A TOY. (The power cord can easily wind around a child’s neck.)
- Do not leave the device unattended near children.
- Do not use the device in the bathroom or in any other humid or wet environment.
- Do not handle the power cord with wet hands.
- Do not cover the vents on the back of the device while in use. Hot air exits the device through the vents.
- Do not use the nasal aspirator for nasal washing!
- DO!
- The device should be on a flat, stable surface during use.
- The connection point of the Colibri head and the tube should point downwards while in use.
- Always switch off the device after use by turning the control button. Do not switch off the device by unplugging the power cord!
- Always thoroughly clean the Colibri head after use (see the “Cleaning” section).
- Read and follow the instructions in the “Im-portant information about electromagnetic interference” section.
- Read and follow the instructions in the “Envi-ronmental impact” section if you would like to dispose of the device or any part of it.

- The device is intended to be used only for removing nasal mucus from a child’s nose.
- Please consult your healthcare provider about when and how often you should clear your baby’s nose, or if redness occurs.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Make sure that all parts are properly attached before using the device.
- Make sure that the housing, the tube, and the Colibri head are not damaged or cracked.
- Stop using the device if mucus or saline solu-tion has been drawn into the tube. Disconnect it from the electrical outlet, empty the Colibri head, clean and dry the Colibri head and the tube, check the air mesh and replace it if it is wet or clogged.
- Double-check that you have inserted the col-lared tube into the Colibri head after cleaning.
- DON’T!
- Do not insert the nose tip into the baby’s mouth or ears.
- Do not force or insert the nose tip too far into the nose.
- Do not press the nose tip against the inner side of the nostril.
- Do not use the device if nasal sores, inflam-mation, or nosebleed are present. If pain or bleeding occurs, stop use immediately and consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device if you see that the tube or the Colibri head are damaged. Replace the damaged part. (A list of spare parts can be found in the “Accessories, spare parts” section.)
- Do not use the Colibri head and the device without the collared tube.
- Do not use more than one teaspoon of saline solution. Excess solution can enter the con-necting tube and can cause damage to the device.
- The device should not be used in a clinical environment.
- Do not attach the Colibri head to other devices.
- Do not unplug the power cord from the elec-trical outlet until the device is completely shut down.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage
WARNING
- DO!
- Protect the power cord against damage.
- Using a damaged power cord can cause short circuit (short-circuit fire).
- Keep the power cord away from heat (e.g., furnace, heater, or convector) because it can cause damage to the insulation.
- Turn the device off and grasp the plug to unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when assembling, disassembling, and cleaning the device.
- DON’T!
- Do not break the power cord, and do not place heavy items on the cord, to avoid damage. Grasp the plug to unplug the power cord from the electrical socket. A damaged cord may cause electric shock.
- Do not remove the mounting screws from the housing. Do not reconstruct the device for other purposes.
- A broken, damaged, worn, frayed or short-cir-cuited power cord can cause an electrical fire, so do not use it!
- Do not leave the parts of the dismounted Colibri head within reach of children. Children may swallow the small parts.
- Do not wash the device housing or the power cord in water or any other liquid. Do not handle the power cord with wet hands. This may cause electric shock or malfunction.

- Make sure that all parts are dried thoroughly before the next use.
- Double-check that you have inserted the colla-red tube into the Colibri head after cleaning.
- When not in use, always unplug the device from the outlet by grasping the plug.
- DON’T!
- To prevent damage, the connecting unit should not be exposed to heat.
- It is not allowed to use a dishwasher, boiling wa-ter, microwave oven, vaporizer, or baby bottle sterilizer for cleaning the spare parts, because they might deform by heat!
- Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight or heat.
Power Source

- Turn the device off and grasp the plug to unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when assembling, disassembling, and cleaning the device.
- In case of unexpected failure or malfunction, immediately switch off the device and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
- Be sure to use the device only with a 230 V 50 Hz AC.
- DON’T!
- Do not use the device if there is a breakage or crack in the housing or power cord.
- Do not break the power cord, and do not place heavy items on the cord, to avoid damage. Grasp the plug to unplug the power cord from the electrical socket. A damaged cord may cause electric shock.

When not in use, always unplug the device from the outlet by grasping the
plug.

Do not unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet until the device is
completely shut down.
Use
- The Nosiboo Pro nasal aspirator is intended for removing nasal mucus from a child’s nose.
- The Colibri head has a patented design that prevents mucus from entering the device, simplifying the cleaning of the Colibri head, making the daily use of the nasal aspirator easier.
Intended purpose:
- to ensure clearer nasal breathing for infants,
- to relieve symptoms of common childhood colds by aspirating nasal mucus,
- to relieve childhood allergy-like symptoms by removing nasal mucus.
Do not use:
- if the child has haemophilia,
- if the child has frequent nosebleeds,
- if the child is taking blood-thinning medicines,
- in the event of congenital malformations (e.g. cleft palate).

DON’T!
The device is not a nasal irrigator! Do not use large amounts of liquid during nasal aspiration! The Colibri head can hold up to a teaspoon (5 ml) of thin liquid.
Before use

Disassemble the Colibri head and clean and dry its parts.
Parts of the Colibri head: -
Assemble the Colibri head.

Insert the collared tube into the side of the Colibri housing which is supplied with a connector.

Place the Colibri housing that has no connector in the correct position.

Push the nose tip into place.

Attach the Colibri head to the device.
- Attach one end of the connecting tube to the Colibri head.
- Attach the free end of the connecting tube to the device housing.
-
Attach one end of the power cord to the device.
Plug the other end of the power cord into a 230 V 50 Hz AC outlet. -
The device is ready for use.
WARNING
- DO!
- The device should be connected to or dis-connected from the power network only if the control button is in OFF position (the device is switched off).
- Be sure to use the device only with a 230 V 50 Hz AC. Failure to do so may cause electric shock or fire.

- Clean the parts of the Colibri head before every use.
- Make sure that all parts are clean and dried thoroughly before use.
- DON’T!
- Do not use the Colibri head and the device without the collared tube.
Instructions for use

The device is ready for use.

Switch on the device by turning the control button.
- The device should be connected to or disconnected from the power network only if the control button is in OFF position (the device is switched off).
- NOTE: Any time you are not actively using the device, switch it off. After the motor cycles off completely, you can restart it.t

Select the correct suction power.
- low setting for newborns
- medium setting for babies
- high setting for small children and for preschoolers
TIP: If the mucus is thin, you can use the device at a lower setting. If it is thick, you can use the device at a higher setting than normal.

Hold your child in a stable position.
Sit your child onto your lap, hold them in your arms or sit them into an upright position supporting their back with a pillow. You may also sit them in an infant bouncer or infant seat. -
Insert the clean, dry nose tip into the child’s nostril.
In case of newborns, it is sufficient to hold the nose tip at the open-ing of the nostril. The connection point of the connecting tube should point downwards while in use.
NOTE: In case of swollen nasal mucosa or blocked nasal openings, use decongestant solutions or nasal sprays 30 minutes before application. -
Move the nose tip around gently to make sure that you get all areas of the nostril.
NOTE: Do not pinch or block the other nostril while using the nasal aspirator.
CAUTION-

The suggested duration of contact aspiration is 10 seconds per nostril.

Dry, very thick mucus can be dissolved by a mild saline solution. After using the solution, wait a few minutes, wipe excess discharge with a tissue, then reuse the nasal aspirator as directed.

To avoid damage to the device, do not use more than a teaspoon of solution at a time. The Colibri head can hold up to a teaspoon (5 ml) of thin liquid.

This device is not a nasal irrigator.

- NOTE: Nose drops and other preparations should be used as directed by your healthcare professional.

Cleaning

Remove the connecting tube and the nose tip, then take apart the Colibri head.

Wash the collared tube, the nose tip, and the Colibri housing in lukewarm water and dishwashing detergent and let them dry.
Use the brush for cleaning the nose tip. -
Clean the housing with a dry, soft cloth; do not use any liquids, detergents, or chemicals.

Wipe the connecting tube with a cloth if necessary.

- Thoroughly clean the Colibri head after use.
- Make sure that all parts are clean and dried thoroughly before use.
- If liquid gets into the connecting tube due to improper use, make sure that it is completely dry before using it again.
- DON’T!
- Do not remove the mounting screws from the housing. Do not reconstruct the device for other purposes.
- To avoid damage, make sure the device is not exposed to heat.
- It is not allowed to use a dishwasher, boiling water, microwave oven, vaporizer, or baby bottle sterilizer for cleaning the spare parts, because they might deform by heat!
- Do not use any liquids, detergents or chemi-cals for cleaning the device housing and the connecting tube.
Storage and maintenance
Storage

Unplug the power cord from the wall socket only after the device has completely shut off.
NOTE: After the device is switched off, the power cord should be unplugged from the electrical outlet and from the device by grasping the plug. -
Disconnect the connecting tube from the device and the Colibri head.

Keep the device in an enclosed space where it is protected from dust and damage (e.g., in a cabinet).
NOTE: Do not store near a heat source.
Maintenance
There is a special air mesh behind the connecting unit which prevents solid
objects and dust from entering the housing. In the event of an unexpected drop
in performance, it is recommended that you check the air mesh. If the air mesh
is dirty or clogged, replace it with a spare air mesh. (A list of spare parts
can be found in the “Accessories, spare parts” section.)

Troubleshooting
Malfunction
- The device cannot be switched on.
- The suction intensity is decreased.
- The suction intensity is decreased.
- Liquid or mucus got into the connecting tube.

Reason
- The device is not connected to the power network.
- The nose tip is blocked or the Colibri head was incorrectly assembled.

- Too much saline solution was used.
Recommendation
- Connect the power cord to the device, then to the electric socket.
- Take the Colibri head apart and clean it. After drying the parts of the Colibri head, as-semble them according to the User Manual.
- Replace the air mesh according to the User Manual’s “Storage and maintenance” section.
- Switch off the device and clean and dry the Colibri head and the connecting tube. Check the air mesh and replace it if necessary.

- Reduce the volume of the saline solution to less than a teaspoon (5 ml). Switch off the device and clean it, then dry the Co-libri head and the connecting tube. Check the air mesh and replace it if necessary.
Important information about electromagnetic interference
Home wireless network equipment, mobile phones, and wireless phones may affect the operation of certain medical equipment, as electromagnetic interference can occur between devices. Electromagnetic interference may cause harmful malfunction in the operation of certain medical devices, potentially causing emergency situations. It is recommended to keep at least 5 m distance between the devices!
- Due to the abovementioned reasons, medical devices must not interfere with any other equipment. Do not use near high-perfor-mance radiation-emitting devices.
- The Nosiboo Pro Nasal Aspirator is intended for use in an elec-tromagnetic environment in which radiated RF disturbances are controlled.
