Product Information
The Levenhuk LabZZ SP50 UFO Planetarium is a device that projects images of stars and planets onto a surface. It comes with a remote control for easy operation. The device has a focusing wheel, film holder, power input, folding legs, LEDs, power button, LED on/off button, and projection on/off button.
Product Usage Instructions
- Do not look at the light source when the device is on. This may cause permanent retinal damage and may lead to blindness. Children should only use the device under adult supervision.
- Getting started:
- Install batteries (2 AAA, not included) in the remote control.
- Connect the power cable to the device and the DC adapter via a USB plug.
- Connect the DC adapter to an AC power supply.
- Press the power button (1) on the remote control or (6) on the device body to turn the device on or off.
- Turn the focusing wheel (1) until the projected image is in focus.
- Using:
- Place the film in the film holder (2).
- Adjust the brightness and speed using the corresponding buttons on the remote control or device body.
- Use the LED on/off button (9) to control the LED lights.
- Use the projection on/off button (10) to turn the projection on or off.

Getting started
Install batteries in the remote control. Connect the power cable to the device and the DC adapter via a USB plug and connect to the AC power supply. Press the power button (1) on the remote control (Fig. 2) or (6) on the device body (Fig. 1) to turn the device on or off. Turn the focusing wheel (1, Fig. 1) until the projected image is in focus.
Using
Choose the right place to project an image: a plain white ceiling or wall will give the best effect. The optimal distance from the Astro planetarium is approx. 2–2.5m. Place the device on a flat surface. Turn the light off and close the curtains to make the room dark. Wait for 5–10 minutes to let your eyes adjust to the darkness and turn the power on.
- Timer function. On the remote control, press (9) once to activate the 45-minute timer. The indicator on the body device turns blue. On the remote control, press (9) once again to activate the 90-minute timer. The indicator on the body device turns red. To turn off the timer, press and hold (9) on the remote control.
- Rotation. To start the rotation of the astroplanetarium, press (7) on the device body (Fig. 1) or on the remote control (Fig. 2). To reverse the direction of rotation, press the same button twice. To stop the rotation, press the same button three times.
- LED color switch. To turn on the multicolor light, press (9) on the device body (Fig. 1) or (7) on the remote control (Fig. 2). To switch between single colors, press (9) on the device body (Fig. 1) or (8) on the remote control (Fig. 2).
- Film set replacing. To replace the film set, follow the instructions in Fig. 1.

The device is suitable for indoor use only. The device is not waterproof. To clean the surface of the device, unplug the device. Use only a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Strictly follow the instructions and do not disassemble or drop the device as it may result in a loss of functionality.
Battery safety instructions
Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –). Never short-circuit batteries as this may lead to high temperatures, leakage, or explosion. Never heat batteries in order to revive them. Do not disassemble batteries. Keep batteries out of the reach of children, to avoid risk of ingestion, suffocation, or poisoning. Utilize used batteries as prescribed by your country’s laws.
