Please press the middle button for at least three seconds without letting go.It is time to pair when the LED flashes red and blue.

I’m not sure I understand your question completely, but my answer would be yes because I have mine connected to two Bose powered stereo speakers. And I have it connected directly to my Sirius XM radio, but I can also use Bluetooth to play through my phone or tablet, which is why I bought it in the first place.

Can the device be turned off without being unplugged or unpaired?

You can pause the music by pressing the knob, however the YMOO B06T3 can only switch off the device when it is unplugged or unpaired.

When the signal is cut off, will the device shut down or time out?

No, if it is powered, it remains on.

Is getting any aptX codex supported by this?

To transmit HiFi HD LL Audio, No Aptx, it is simply ideal.
