OVERVIEW

  1. Serial configuration interface RJ45 (CONSOLE)
    Maintenance interface for expert configuration. Not necessary for initial commissioning.

  2. USB 3.0 interfaces
    Connect a USB storage medium or a USB printer to the USB interfaces.

  3. RESET button
    Pressed up to 5 seconds: device restart Pressed until first flashing up of all LEDs: configuration reset and device restart

  4. TP Ethernet interfaces ETH1 – ETH6
    Connect the ETH1 – ETH6 TP Ethernet interfaces to
    additional network components using suitable Ethernet cables.

  5. SFP+ interfaces ETH7 – ETH8
    Connect the ETH7 – ETH8 SFP+ interfaces to other network components using suitable SFP(+) modules.
    Rear panel

  6. Connection socket for power supply
    Supply the device with power via the main connection on the rear of the device. Use only the supplied power cord for this purpose.

  7. Power switch
    After supplying power to the unit via the power connector on the rear panel, set the power switch to the ‘I’ position.

HOW TO USE

  1. LEDs Status / HDD / Power

    • Status: green, permanently*
      Device operational, resp. device paired/claimed and LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC) accessible

    • Status: green/red, blinking
      No password set. Without a password the configuration data in the device is unprotected.

    • Status: red, blinking Charge or time limit reached

    • Status: 1x green, inverse blinking*
      Connection to the LMC active, pairing OK, device not claimed

    • Status: 2x green, inverse blinking*
      Pairing error, resp. LMC activation code not available

    • Status: 3x green, inverse blinking*
      LMC not accessible, resp. communication error

    • HDD off No HDD read/write access

    • HDD green HDD read/write access

    • POWER off Device switched off

    • POWER green Device ready and accessible

  2. LEDs ETH1 – ETH6 – TP Ethernet

    • Both LEDs off No networking device attached
    • Green, permanently Connection to network device operational, no data traffic
    • Green, flickering Data transmission
    • Orange off 1000 Mbps
    • Orange, permanently 100 Mbps
  3. LEDs ETH7 – ETH8 – SFP+

    • LEDs left – Link activity
    • Off No link detected
    • Green, permanently Link detected, no port activity
    • Green, blinking Link detected, port activity
    • LEDs right – Link speed
    • Off No link detected
    • Green, permanently Link speed 10 Gbps

The additional status LED statuses are displayed in 5-seconds rotation if the device is configured to be managed by the LANCOM Management Cloud.

Before initial startup, please make sure to take notice of the information regarding the intended use in the enclosed installation guide! Operate the device only with a professionally installed power supply at a nearby power socket that is freely accessible at all times.

Please observe the following when setting up the device

  • The mains plug of the device must be freely accessible.
  • Do not rest any objects on top of the device and do not stack multiple devices.
  • Keep the device’s ventilation slots clear of obstruction.
  • Mount the device with the enclosed mounting material in a free 19” rack of an appropriate server rack.
