SOUNDBAR CONNECTION METHODS
CONNECTION METHOD 1 (RECOMMENDED): OPTICAL
- Connect an optical cable to the optical input on the soundbar and then to a TVs optical port.
- Turn on the soundbar and set it to Optical mode.
- On the TV change the speaker output to External speakers, Optical, SPDIF or Digital Audio Out (this setting may have a different name based on your TV manufacturer).
- On the TV, change the audio format setting to PCM or Stereo.
Note: Using the optical connection method the TV volume and soundbar volume will both be heard, we recommend setting the tv volume to the lowest setting or zero so that sound only plays through the soundbar.
CONNECTION METHOD 2: BLUETOOTH (TV)
- Turn on the soundbar and set the mode to Bluetooth.
- On the TV change the audio output to Bluetooth.
- You may receive a prompt to confirm the connection on the TV. The soundbar name will appear as SPK-SB125
CONNECTION METHOD 3: BLUETOOTH (SMART DEVICE/COMPUTER)
- Turn on the soundbar and set the mode to Bluetooth.
- On your computer/smart device, search for and select “SPK-SB125”.
- You may receive a prompt to confirm the connection on your Smart Device/Computer.
CONNECTION METHOD 4: AUX
- Connect the AUX cable (supplied) to the AUX input port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end to the AUX/Headphone output on your TV.
- On the TV change the audio output to AUX/ Headphones.
- On the soundbar, change the input mode to AUX.
BASIC OPERATION
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the remote.
- Connect the audio cable(s) to the soundbar and the TV or other device.
- Connect the power plug to the mains supply socket and turn on the wall switch. The soundbar enters standby mode.
- Press the power button on the remote or press and hold the power button on the soundbar.
Note:
- For USB mode to work a USB flash drive (up to 32gb) containing MP3 files must be connected to the soundbar.
TROUBLESHOOTING
NO SOUND COMING FROM THE SOUNDBAR.
- Check your soundbar is set to the correct input mode.
- Check the soundbar connection to the source device (e.g. TV). Please refer to the soundbar connection methods in this manual for tips on connecting.
- Check the settings on your source device (e.g. TV). Please refer to the soundbar connection methods in this manual for tips on settings.
- Adjust the volume level on the soundbar or input device.
- Toggle the mute function on the soundbar or input device.
- Ensure both ends of the cables are fully plugged into the sockets.
- When using Optical connection, in the TV or external device settings menu, find the audio output settings and change it to PCM or Stereo mode (instead of Auto, RAW, etc.).
SOUNDBAR NOT CONNECTING TO BLUETOOTH.
Make sure the device you are connecting the soundbar to has their Bluetooth
function enabled. Place the soundbar and device close to each other, wait
approx. 1-2 minutes for your device’s Bluetooth list to update then search for
and select SPK-SB125. Make sure the soundbar has not already been paired to
another device.
Ensure the external Bluetooth device is playing normally and its volume is
turned up.
Under Bluetooth mode, pressing the PAIR button will disconnect the connection
between soundbar and sound sourcing device (such as your mobile phone). Press
this button again to reconnect the previous sourcing device again.
The operational range between this soundbar and a Bluetooth® device is
approximately 10 metres. Any obstacle between the devices can reduce the
operational range.
HEARING AN ECHO EFFECT OR SOUND COMING FROM BOTH SOUNDBAR AND TV.
- If you are using the optical connection method from the soundbar to the TV, then sound will play from both the soundbar and the TV as the optical connection does not override the TVs built-in speakers. We recommend setting the TV volume to the lowest possible setting or zero so that sound is only heard through the soundbar.
