Commissioning

DANGER
Explosion hazard due to incorrect installation!
Non-compliance results in severe or fatal injuries.

  • Check the device for proper installation and function before commissioning.
  • Comply with the national regulations.

Before commissioning, ensure the following:

  • Check the mounting and installation.
  • Device must not be damaged.
  • If necessary, remove foreign bodies.
  • Check if all screws and nuts have been tightened firmly.

Operation

  • In the case of closed enclosures, fluctuations in temperature can cause pressure differences between the inside of the enclosure and the atmosphere around the enclosure. The breather safely compensates for these pressure differences.
  • The breather reduces the vacuum effect, which prevents water, dust and dirt from reaching the inside of the enclosure via the sealing systems. Less water or moisture in the enclosure means that less condensate is formed.
  • Existing condensate collects at the lowest point in the enclosure. If the breather is installed correctly, the condensate can drain via the breather.
