olympia electronics GR-7500 BACnet Addressable Emergency Luminaires Panel

The BACnet functionality is supported via the network card, whether it is connected to the network with Wi-Fi or with an Ethernet cable. To use the BACnet functionality, you should configure the connection with a static IP from the Ethernet/Wi-Fi setup menu. To function properly the BACnet protocol, compatible software is required.

The following settings are required for proper usage:

  • Connection Type: UDP/IP Broadcast
  • IP Address: the static IP you configured.
  • IP Address Type: IPv4
  • Server Port: 47808
  • APDU Timeout: 3000ms
  • Max APDU length: 480 Bytes
  • DNET/DLEN/DADDR: Off
  • No segmentation is supported.

Setup

How to access the Device
The BACnet/IP functionality can be used with a BACnet explorer that is being used from a computer device and supports the objects, properties, and services supported by the panel device. The panel should be visible on an Ethernet network. More information about the supported Objects and Functions is provided below.

Communications Protocol
This control panel utilizes the standard BACnet/IP (Annex J) protocol, communicating over UDP/IP broadcasts, on the standard BACnet port 47808 (BAC0 in hex form). The device supports a maximum APDU length of 480 Bytes and has a 3000ms timeout timer.

  • Note: The DNET/DLEN/DADDR option should be turned off on the BACnet explorer.
  • Note: No segmentation is supported.

Connected Device Limits
The maximum number of connected devices supported by this control panel is 1.

Supported Object Types
The BACnet object that this control panel supports are the following:

  • 0 – Analog-input
  • 7 – Command
  • 8 – Device
  • 13 – Multi-state-input

Supported Services
The BACnet services that this control panel supports are the following:

Device Discovery Procedure
While connected to the network, the control panel is discoverable by any computer using a BACnet explorer via the following steps:

  1. Send a broadcast Who-Is discovery request.
  2. The panel will respond to the above request with an I-Am response message. After these steps, the BACnet explorer user can discover and access the rest of the information on the control panel device, by using the Read and Write-Property functions.

BACnet Objects

Below are presented the available BACnet objects that describe the panel and points status. Also the available commands to the panel. All the objects are described in detail on the next pages.
