  • Pull out the Pre-Motor Filter Tray located below the dirt tank and wash the Filter with water and a mild detergent

    • Let it completely air dry before placing back in the machine

    • Remove the Upholstery Hose from the back of the vacuum by unwrapping the hose and  twisting it to the right to unlock and pull out bottom from lower hose

      • Push a broom handle through hose to remove any clogs
    • Turn on machine and feel for suction from the hose inlet with hose removed

    • Remove the lower hose screw on the left of the lower hose

      • Bend hose parallel to foot and push a broom handle through lower hose to remove any clogs
    • Unplug the vacuum and turn the vacuum over so the Brush Roll is facing up

    • Remove the 7 screws that hold on the Brush Roll Access plate

    • Pull brush straight out and inspect the brush and belt for damage

      • Brush should spin easily
      • Belt should be intact
      • If part is damaged, it will need to be replaced
    • Clear brush, brush ends, and brush housing of any debris

    • If the vacuum continues to not have suction, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
