Product Information:

The GR-24/12V/A is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with a 12V-4A DC output. It is a stabilized power supply that provides continuous power to external devices. The voltage output is stabilized at 14V DC with a maximum load current of 4A. The device is equipped with a sealed type lead-acid battery (2x12V/7Ah) for backup power during mains loss. It has battery protection features to prevent overcharge, deep discharge, and short circuit. The UPShas LED indicators for power state, fuse state, and outputactivation. It is produced in accordance with various standards including EN 55015, EN 61547, EN 60950-1, EN 61000-3-2, and EN 61000-3-3. The device has a temperature range of 5 to 40 oC and can operate in relative humidity of up to 95%. It is constructed using ABS/PC materials and has external dimensions of 300 x 95 x 230 mm. The UPS weighs approximately 5430 grams with batteries included. It comes with a 3-year guarantee (1 year for the battery).

Product Usage Instructions:

Installation:

  • Unscrew the front mounting screws and remove the front panel.
  • Install the cable gland.
  • Open a hole using an 11 mm drill and insert a ring to pass through the power supply cord.
  • Pass the power cord and connect it to terminal L for phase and N for neutral.
  • Place the enclosed support materials and secure the device to the support points.
  • Pass the output cable out of the seal and connect it to the + OUT terminals with care to the polarity.

Battery Replacement:

  • Battery replacement should be carried out by qualified personnel after a power supply interruption.
  • Follow step 1 of the installation process.
  • Disconnect the cables and remove the old battery.
  • Connect the same type of new battery and replace it with the old battery, paying special attention to the polarity of the connection (red + battery terminal, black -).
  • Follow step 8 of the installation process and power the device.

Note : Operations for installation, maintenance, or testing must be done by authorized personnel only. The device must be connected to the mains power supply through a fuse dependent on the total amount of the line’s power load. It is not allowed to discard batteries in common trash bins; they must be discarded only in battery recycling points. Do not incinerate.

GENERAL

The GR-24/12V/A device is a stabilized uninterruptible power supply, providing 12V DC supply to a connected device. The voltage output is stabilized at 14V DC with a maximum load current of 4A, while the battery voltage is varied from 10.5 to 13.7V at 4A maximum load.

Provides continuous power to external conected devices from its built-in DC power supply while it is connected to tha mains. In case of mains loss it powers the external devices from the built-in battery. This device is used in fire detection systems when the power consumption of the external devices, connected to the fire alarm panel is greater than the maximum power that the panel can supply. It can also be used to power any other device that requires a 12V DC voltage and also more autonomy duration in its operation. The device also contains the SW1 switch to enable or disable the output for any desired time as shown in the DC OUT indicator on the front of the device.

The LOCAL / REMOTE selection pins is used in conjunction with the REMOTE input at the analog terminal and also sets the output status. If it is not going to be connected to an external device that controls the output of the GR-24/12V/A, then the jumper is placed in positions 1-2 (LOCAL) and the output control is controlled by the SW1 switch.

If the output is going to be controlled by an external device, then the jumper is placed in positions 2-3 (REMOTE), SW1 in position ON and the control signal in the REMOTE contacts of the terminal. When a voltage greater than 16V is connected at the REMOTE input, the output of the GR-24/12V/A is activated, and if the voltage is less than 16V, the output remains inactive.

Example of autonomy calculation
The device’s autonomy is battery-proportional (7Ah for GR-24/12V/A) and inversely proportional to the consumption of the number of devices. ie. If you want to connect 10 devices that consume 100mA each, in GR-24/12V/A, then the system autonomy will be about 100 hours. If you want to connect 20 devices with the same consumption, the autonomy will be about 50 Hours. In this way you can calculate how many devices can be connected to the GR-24/12V/A and how much autonomy the system will have.

The device has a fuse that protects the output from a short-circuit or reversed pollarity of the battery poles. When the device is connected to the mains and the fuse is blown, the POWER/ FAULT indicator will switch off and it indicates that the fuse needs to be replaced

ΑΤΤΕΝΤΙΟΝ:

  1. Operations for installation, maintenance or testing must be done by authorized personnel
  2. The device must be connected to the mains power supply through a fuse dependent by the total amount of the line’s power load.
  3. It is not allowed to discard batteries in to common trash bins, they must be discarded only in battery recycling points. Do not incinerate.

INSTALLATION
To install the luminaire, follow the installation procedure as described below

Battery replacement
It is carried out by qualified personnel after a power supply interruption.

  1. Follow step 1 of the installation
  2. Disconnect the cables and remove the old
  3. Connect the same type of new battery (step 7 of the installation process) and replace it with the old battery, paying special attention to the polarity of the connection (the red + battery terminal, the black on -).
  4. Follow step 8 of the installation process and power the device.
