Safety instructions
- This product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
- Use the product only for the intended purpose.

Warning – batteries / button cells
- When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and – markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
- Only use batteries that match the specified type. Keep the instructions for the correct choice of batteries included with the operating instructions of devices safe for future reference.
- Before you insert the batteries, clean the battery contacts and the polarity contacts.
- Do not allow children to change batteries without supervision.
- Replace all the batteries in a set at the same time.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different types or from different manufacturers.
- Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period (unless these are being kept ready for an emergency).
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Do not charge batteries.
- Do not burn batteries or heat them up.

- If you suspect that a button cell has been swallowed or is in any part of the body, seek medical attention immediately.
- Keep new and used button cells out of the reach of children.
Operation
- Remove the protective cap (3) and clean the sensor (4) with a damp cloth. The thermometer is not dishwasher-safe!
- Remove the protective film from the display (6).
Inserting the batteries
- Open the battery compartment (7) by turning it and remove the contact breaker.
- Then close the battery compartment cover again.
Changing batteries
- Open the battery compartment (7) by turning it.
- Remove and dispose of the spent battery and insert a new CR2032 button cell, observing the correct polarity.
- Then close the battery compartment cover again.
Switching the device on
- Press the ON/OFF button (2) to switch the device on.
- The LCD display (6) switches on and lights up blue for around 5 seconds.
- The device is now ready for use.
- The °C/°F button (1) can be used to toggle the display between °C and °F.
Measuring the temperature
Warning – Risk of burns!
When using the thermometer, take care not to burn yourself on the product,
oven or thing you are measuring.
- Insert or push the temperature sensor (4) at least 2 cm into the item you are measuring. The display is correct as soon as it remains constant (6). This takes around 4 to 10 seconds.
- To measure the temperature when roasting and baking, open the oven, pull the food out and measure the temperature as described above. Take the thermometer out again before putting the food back in the oven.
- Clean the temperature sensor (4) after use with a damp cloth and place the protective cap (3).
Switching the device off
- Press and hold the ON/OFF button (2) for approximately 3 seconds to switch the device off. The measuring unit selected is remembered after the device is switched off. If not buttons are pressed or no measurement is taken, the device switches itself off automatically after 3 minutes.
Wine stopper
- This thermometer also serves as a bottle stopper.
- The silicone stopper (5) allows you to put a tight seal back on an opened bottle of wine. Push the stopper onto the sensor as far as the thermometer head.
- Place the thermometer upright in the bottle and press the silicone stopper into the neck of the bottle. This allows you to store even open bottles in a lying-down position in the refrigerator or wine cellar.
Backlight
- When the device is switched on or off, the backlight switches on for around 5 seconds.
- In standard mode, press the ON/OFF button (2) to switch the backlight on for 5 seconds.
0°C temperature calibration
- Immerse the temperature sensor (4) at least 2 cm into iced water.
- Press and hold the °C/°F button (1) for around 3 seconds to start the thermometer calibration process. „CAL“ flashes on the LCD display (6).
- If the temperature is above 0°C (+/- 2°C), „Err“ appears on the LCD display (6).
- Temperature calibration is then not possible.
- If the temperature is within 0°C (+/- 2°C), the current temperature flashes up on the LCD display (6).
- Press the ON/OFF button (2) to adjust this temperature as well if necessary and then the
- °C/°F button (1) to confirm it. „PASs“ appears on the LCD display (6) and the thermometer returns to standard mode.
