MODIFICATION REQUIRED

• INSTALLER DISCRETION After reviewing the recommended placement guidelines stated on page 3, please use installer discretion when proceeding to install the UQ01. location modification may be required for this installation, proceed with caution. If you are unsure or feel that the installation is to difficult, seek professional installation. Note that additional installation fees may apply and vary by their location. Scosche is not responsible or liable for any additional fees or modification done by the installer.

• WARNING: Do not use the magnetic mount with any hard-drive based devices such as:

  • iPod classic, iPod Video and Zune MP3 players. Use caution whenever removing or  handling plastic parts of any vehicle. Unnecessary force or pressure can cause pieces to crack  or break. Please use a plastic card to remove the metal plates. Remove adhesive residue with  a non-abrasive cleaner.

• AIRBAG WARNING: Do not place this pad or any other object on or near the airbag. In  the event of deployment, objects placed on or near airbag could cause serious injury.

• CAUTION: This magnetic device is not a toy. The small magnets are harmful if swallowed.

• Keep away from children.

PRELIMINARY INTRODUCTION

• Wirelessly charge your Qi-enabled smartphone without lhe need to plug your device into a car charger or USB cable. Quickly charge your device at SW or 1 OW charging. The high powered neodymium magnets are 100% safe and will not damage your device. The UQ01 works with Qi-enabled smartphones from these manufacturers: Apple, Samsung, Google, Microsoft, LG, HTC, Motorola. Also works with Qi-enabled cases, receivers, and battery covers.
• CAUTION: Disconnect your vehicles negative battery terminal before the installation to help prevent electrical damage. We recommend the use of a volt/ ohm meter over a test light to check wiring. A test or grounded wire probe can cause damage to the vehicle’s computer and/or diagnostic system. Avoid all factory airbag wiring – airbags can accidentally deploy causing serious injury or death.

NOTE: For mounting directly to device, use the large single plate with template guide as shown in the instructions below.

1. Remove the white paper backing
2. Line up the corresponding arrows on the Template Guide to the bottom of your phone.
3. When positioned, press plates firmly to affix and remove template.’,

NOTE: For mounting directly to CASE, use the (2) small plates with the Integrated template guide as shown below.

1. Remove the white paper backing from both plates
2. Line up the corresponding arrows on the Template Guide to the bottom of your phone.
3. When positioned, press plates firmly to affix.
4. Lastly, remove the template guide.

REMOVING THE METAL PLATE

Use a thin plastic card to carefully lift the plate’s adhesive surface from the mounting surface. Slowly lift up and remove the plate. Do not use any heat or liquids to remove the plate, due to risk of damaging your phone. UNIVERSAL FLUSH MOUNT,

PLACEMENT IN VEHICLES It is possible _for the transmitter to interfere with some wireless systems within a car. Specifically key fobs with immobilizer, key-less start systems or tire pressure monitors. Therefore, it is recommended to test the location of your transmitter before deciding on a final placement. Most interference issues will be minimized by considering the following placement guidelines:

• Install transmitter a minimum of 1 O ‘ inches away from the ignition lock, key fob docking station, or any location where the key fob might be stored while driving.

If the transmitter cannot be located a sufficient distance away as described above please use the following suggestions whenever possible:

• Insert the key fob into the docking slot whenever possible while transmitting the transmitter.
• Connect the transmitter to a 12 volt accessory port that is powered only while the vehicle’s ignition is in the “ACC” or “ON” position.
• Place phone on the transmitter after the vehicle is started.

LED Charging Status:

The LED indicator on the side of the mount illuminates the charging status of the device. When powered ON, the indicator blinks ini the following order BLUE, GREEN, BLUE.

• Standby = Green
• Charging = Blue

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Test Connection
Before proceeding to the installation please test the modules functionality by connecting the provided universal power connector, refer to the wiring diagram below (C). Once the module is connected, place the Qi-enabled device on the module and refer to the LED Status chart on the bottom of page 3 for specific details on the LED lighting. Use the Illustration for demonstration use only. Vehicle disassembly/ modification may vary per installation/vehicle.

Installation Instructions

1. Select a mounting location (A).
2. Route the provided power harness to the nearest 12V power (8).
3. Disassemble panels to gain access to the selected 12V connector.
4. Test the modules functionality by connecting the provided t-harness to the power source and the type-c connector to the module (C), wiring diagram.
5. Custom-make a slot for the bezel to settle in and create a hole large enough to pass the type-c connector through, if necessary (D).
6. Reassemble everything in reverse order of your disassembly to complete the installation and place the Qi-enabled device on the charging surface (E).
