SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The following are important notes on the installation, use and maintenance;
save this instruction manual for future reference; use the equipment only as
specified in this guide; any other use is considered improper and dangerous;
therefore, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of damages
caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.
Before use, ensure the equipment is undamaged; if in doubt, do not attempt to
use it and contact the authorized service center; do not leave packing
materials (i.e. plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, staples, etc.) within
the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger; always remember
that they must be separately collected. Make sure that the rating information
given on the technical label are compatible with those of the electricity
grid; the installation must be performed according to the manufacturer’s
instructions considering the maximum power of the appliance as shown on the
label; an incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or
things, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible thereof.
If it is necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets or electrical extensions,
use only those that comply with current safety standards; in any case do not
exceed the power consumption limits indicated on the electrical adapter and /
or extensions, as well as the maximum power shown on multiple adaptor.
Do not leave the unit plugged; better to remove the plug from the mains when
the device is not in use. Always disconnect from power supply if you leave it
unattended.
Cleaning operations should be carried out after unplugging the unit.
If the unit is out of order and you do not want to fix it, it must be made
inoperable by cutting power cord.
- Do not allow the power cord to get closer to sharp objects or in contact with hot surfaces; do not pull it to disconnect the plug.
- Do not use the appliance in the event of damage to the power cord, plug, or in case of short circuits; to repair the product only address an authorized service center.
- Do not handle or touch the appliance with wet hands or bare feet. Do not expose the appliance to harmful weather conditions such as rain, moisture, frost, etc.. Always store it in a dry place.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- This appliance can be used by children of 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they received supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand hazards involved; children shall not play with the appliance; cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
If the power cord is damaged, or in case of failure and / or malfunction do
not tamper with the unit. The reparation must be done by manufacturer or by
service center authorized by the manufacturer in order to prevent any risk.
Failure to comply with the above may compromise the unit safety and invalidate
the warranty.
WARNING: This appliance includes heating function.
Surfaces, other than functional surfaces may develop high temperatures. Since
temperatures are perceived differently by different people, this device should
be used with CAUTION. Hold the appliance exclusively to grip surfaces intended
to be touched.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; farm houses, bed and breakfast type environments.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Before every use, unroll the power cord.
- Use original spare parts and accessories only.
- Do not subject the product to strong impacts, serious damages may result.
Do not use near or under flammable materials (like curtains), heat, cold spots and steam.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Before using the unit for the first time, clean the parts that will be in
touch with food (i.e. filter and the carafe).
Never leave the appliance unattended while it is running. Fill the tank with
cold water , ensure to stay within the limits of the capacity indicated on
tank itself (MAX).
Always pour the water before operating. Never introduce liquids after
switching on.
Do not operate without water in the tank. Do not leave the empty carafe on the
heating plate, if it is running.
During use, do not remove the jug as to prevent dripping.
Once finished, unplug the unit and drain the tank completely. Once finished,
remember to unplug the appliance and wait for the cooling of each part of the
product before storing or cleaning. Do not immerse in water or other liquids.
In any case, avoid any splashing of water.
Place on shelf and stable surface.

OPERATION
Before using the unit for the first time, fill the water tank up to the
maximum level and operate without coffee in the filter, until the water in the
container is finished. Repeat 4-5 times.
COFFEE PREPARATION
- Open the tank lid (1) and put water in the tank (2). Do not fill above the maximum level (MAX – 6) indicated on the tank. Put the nylon filter (5) in the infusion funnel (6)
- By using the measuring cup, fill in the filter (5) with coffee powder or barley coffee. The number of cups of water reached on the tank (2) shows how many cups of coffee are necessary. Close the lid (1).
- Place the glass jug (10) above the heating plate (3), aligning the hole in the carafe cover with the coffee outlet nozzle (8).
- Plug the unit into the electrical outlet and turn the power on by pressing the ON/OFF button (4). The blue light on the ON/OFF button lights up to indicate working.
- Wait until the carafe is full of coffee.
- At this point, the drink is ready in the jug (10) and the heating plate (3) keeps it warm.
- To switch off appliance, press again the ON/OFF button (4), otherwise i twill stay on for 40 minutes (only for keep warm function) and then switch off automatically.
STRONG COFFEE, TEA AND INFUSIONS PREPARATION
WARNING: Before preparing tea or infusions properly clean the nylon
filter to remove any coffee residue.
Follow this procedure to prepare tea, infusions and stronger coffee.
- Open the tank lid (1) and put MAXIMUM 200cc of water in the tank (2).
- Put the nylon filter (5) in the infusion funnel (6)
- By using the measuring cup, fill in the filter (5) with coffee powder or barley coffee or tea or infusions. The number of cups reached on the tank (2) shows how many spoons of coffee are needed. Close lid (1).
- DO NOT PUT THE GLASS JUG (10) above the heating plate (3). In this way the anti-drip outlet will keep the liquid in infusion, avoiding the exit.
- Plug the unit into the electrical outlet and turn the power on by pressing the ON/OFF (4). The blue light on the ON/OFF button lights up to indicate working.
- Wait until the water in the tank is finished, and leave in infusion for the desired time.
- At the end of the infusion time, place the glass jug (10) above the heating plate (3), to let the liquid come out. The drink is ready in the jug (10) and the heating plate (3) keeps it warm.
- To switch off appliance, press again the ON/OFF button (4), otherwise it will stay on for 40 minutes (only for keep warm function) and then switch off automatically.
CLEANING
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and allow the unit to cool
down before cleaning.
Do not immerse the main body (12) in water. In any case, avoid splashing water
or other liquids from reaching those parts. The removable parts can be cleaned
under a jet of tap water. Do not use the dishwasher and dry thoroughly before
reassembling the unit.
ANTI- LIMESCALE CLEANING
To prevent the formation of calcium deposits, it is recommended to
periodically perform a special cleaning, following the below instructions:
- Pour water into the tank and add citric acid or vinegar.
- Assemble the glass jug (10), funnel (6) and filter (5) without coffee.
- Operate the unit. When the solution in the tank has dropped the first notch, turn the product off and wait 10 minutes.
- Repeat the process 3-4 times.
- Fill the tank with water and operate the unit without coffee powder until the water in the container is finished. Repeat at least 3 times.
