TW1923RH Vacuum Cleaner
You have just purchased a high-tech, high-quality Tefal appliance. Carefully
read the following recommendations and Instructions for this product to better
understand and make the most of the appliance’s functions and to ensure its
safe use Do not throw away this Instruction Manual. Keep it for any future
queries.
IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS AND WARNINGS FOR USING THIS APPLIANCE:
The manufacturer Is attentive to the quality of Its products and cares about
the personal safety of Its consumers. For this reason, before using the
product for the first time, carefully read the recommen-dations and
instructions for use. They are vital for the proper functioning of the
product. as well as your safely and that of other people.
a. Before plugging In the appliance, check that the voltage of the socket Is
compatible with the voltage Indicated on the product. Using a socket with an
incompatible voltage may cause damage to the product and put your personal
safety at risk.
b. This product was designed for domestic use only. Any other use is not
recommended. Commercial and/or professional use will overload the product,
which could cause damage to the product or personal injury. The contractual
warranty will be voided if the product is used for anything other than
domestic purposes.
c. Always ensure that your hands are dry before using the product, and never
submerge the product in water or any other liquid, as doing so may cause an
electric shock and damage the product. As this is an electrical appliance, it
is recommended that you avoid using the product while barefoot to help prevent
electric shocks.
d. This product is not intended for use by children or people with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or by anyone without the required
experience or knowledge, unless they have received proper instructions on how
to use the product or are being supervised by a responsible adult. Children
should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product.
e. Unplug the product when it is not being used or when cleaning it. If the
appliance is left plugged in, it may be inadvertently switched on and cause an
accident.
f. If the product is dropped or shows any sign of malfunction, do not use It.
Dropping the product may cause damage internally that could affect its
functioning or your personal safety. Before using the product again, take it
to an Tefal approved Service Centre.
g. In order to prevent accidents such as electric shocks, short circuits,
burning or fires, never use the product if the power lead and/or plug is
damaged. To prevent risks, a replacement power lead should be purchased and
replaced through an approved Tefal service center.
h. In order to prevent accidents and voiding the contractual warranty, never
try to disassemble or repair the product by yourself or using unapproved third
parties. Instead, take the product to an approved Tefal service center.

electrical problems or accidents.

its power lead and do not remove the plug from the socket by pulling on the

I. When connecting or disconnecting the plug from the socket, be sure that
your fingers do not touch the pins of the plug in order to prevent an electric
shock.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
HOW TO ASSEMBLE YOUR VACUUM
Always unplug the appliance from the mains before attaching or disassembling
its accessories.
CONNECTING THE HOSE
Plug the hose terminal into the front of the appliance until It locks into
place. To remove the hose, press the clasp on the side of the terminal and
pull it away from the appliance (fig. 1). CONNECTING TUBES AND ACCESSORIES
Connect the hose handle to one end of the tubes (fig. 2). Connect the desired
cleaning nozzle to the other end of the tubes.
To remove the tubes and accessories, firmly hold each part and pull (fig.
3). USE
Unwind the power lead from the appliance and connect it to a socket compatible
with the voltage. A YELLOW mark on the power lead indicates the ideal length
of cable to be unwound. Do not unwind the power lead beyond the RED mark.Press
the On button on top of the appliance to turn it on. (fig. 4). The suction power may be reduced
using the suction regulator. The suction power may be reduced by pushing it
backward, and increased by pushing it forward (fig. 5).
USING THE CLEANING ACCESSORIES
Suction nozzle For general floor cleaning and also ideal for laminated and hard floors. (fig. 6). 2-in-1 nozzle — Dual function For corners and nooks: ideal for cleaning spots that are difficult to get to. Mini brush function: ideal for hard-to-reach places with stubborn dirt. (fig. 7). Nozzle for curtains and upholstery: Ideal for cleaning carpets, fabrics, mattresses, curtains, car upholstery etc. (fig. 8).
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Always disconnect the appliance from the socket before carrying out any
maintenance or cleaning. Clean the exterior of the appliance using a damp
cloth. Ensure the product is completely dry before using it.
EMPTYING THE DUST CONTAINER AND CLEANING THE FILTER
Empty the dust container after each use. To maintain the performance of the
vacuum, the black foam cover located on the back of the product (fig. 9) must
be cleaned regularly. Whenever the dust container is emptied, the black foam
cover must be carefully washed using water only. To remove the dust container,
press the button to release it (fig. 10 and 11).
Press the dust container clasp to open it (fig. 12 and 13). To release the dust container
lid, simply turn It anti-clockwise (fig. 14). Note the padlock symbols
indicated. To remove the filter, turn it anti-clockwise (fig. 15). Remove
the protective cap of the filter by puling it upwards (fig. 16). Clean the
compartment and the filter with running water (fig. 17). Leave the compartment
and the filter to dry completely before re•attaching them to the appliance
(leave to dry for 24 hours). It is essential to keep the filter dean so that the
vacuum stays in working order. Be sure to regularly clean the filter. Never
submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid. This could seriously
damage the product, cause electrical problems in the appliance and power
network, and may cause accidents.
DO NOT USE DETERGENTS TO CLEAN THE APPLIANCES PARTS. Place the fitter
correctly in the dust container. Re-attach the lid on the dust container. Re-
attach the dust container to the appliance (fig. 18). PLEATED FILTER
REPLACEMENT It is recommended to replace the pleated filter every 6 months
(ref. ZR190001).
WINDING IN THE POWER LEAD
When not in use, disconnect the appliance from the electrical soeket, and then
press the button to wind in the lead (fig 19) CAREFUL: be careful when winding in the power
lead. Hold the plug to prevent the lead from whipping and causing injury.
STORAGE
When cleaning, the hose unit may be attached to the storage mount (fig. 20).
TROUBLESHOOTING
Before taking the product to an Approved Service Center, check if the problem can be resolved through the following steps:

the appliance.| Wind and unwind the lead several times by pressing the button.

TEFAUT-FAL’s choice, an equivalent or superior replacement product may be
provided instead of repairing a defective product. TEFAUT-FAL’s sole
obligation and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to
such repair or replacement. Conditions & Exclusions : TEFAUT-FAL shall not
be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a
valid proof of purchase. The product can be taken directly in person or must
be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent
method of postage), to a TEFAUT-FAL authorised service centre. Full address
details for each country’s authorised service centres are listed on
TEFAL/T-FAL website ( www.tefal.com ) or by
calling the appropriate consumer Service centre set out in the attached
country list. In order to offer the best possible after-sales service and
constantly improve customer satisfaction, TEFAUT-FAL may send a satisfaction
survey to all customers who have had their product repaired or exchanged in a
TEFAUT-FAL authorised service centre. This guarantee applies only for products
purchased and used for domestic purposes and will not cover any damage which
occurs as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow TEFAUT-FAL
instructions, or a modification or unauthorised repair of the product, faulty
packaging by the owner or mishandling by any carrier. It also does not cover
normal wear and tear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, or the
following:
– using the wrong type of water or consumable – ingress of water, dust or
insects into the product (excluding appliances with features specifically
designed for insects)
-damage as a result of lightning or power surges
– accidents including fire, flood, etc
– professional or commercial use
– mechanical damages, overloading

Consumer Statutory Rights : This international TEFAUT-FAL guarantee does
not affect the Statutory Rights a consumer may have or those rights that
cannot be excluded or limited, nor rights against the retailer from which the
consumer purchased the product. This guarantee gives a consumer specific legal
rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from
State to State or Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights

replacement by a similar or alternative product at similar cost, where

SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS
- Before using the product, carefully read the instructions for use and/or installation located on the appliance itself, on the packaging or in the relevant manual. Follow all instructions closely. They are for your safety.
- Ensure that the electrical voltage used is the same as that indicated on the appliance. Ensure that the electrical installation of the site is correct and fit for purpose, and that the Hz frequency corresponds to that of the country in which the product is being used.
- To prevent damage, keep the product well-stored and clean, in an area protected from the elements (rain, wind, humidity, sunlight etc.).
- In order to prevent accident, do not insert any foreign objects into the product – especially when it is switched on.
