Product Usage Instructions
Initial Use:
- Press the “RESET” button with a paper clip to clear all settings.
- The LCD display will show information as shown in Figure 1 and you will automatically enter “Clock Mode” as shown in Figure 2.
Setting the Digital Clock in Clock Mode:
- The LCD shows the day, hour, and minute.
- To set the day, press the “CLOCK” and the “WEEK” buttons simultaneously.
- To set the hour, press the “CLOCK” and the “HOUR” buttons simultaneously.
- To set the minute, press the “CLOCK” and the “MINUTE” buttons simultaneously.
- To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour mode, press the “CLOCK” and “TIMER” buttons simultaneously.
Summer Time:
- To switch between standard time and summer time, press and hold the “CLOCK” button, then press the “ON/AUTO/OFF” button. The LCD display shows “SUMMER”.
Programming the Switch-On and Switch-Off Times:
Press the “TIMER” button to enter the setting mode for up to 18 switching
times:
- Press the “WEEK” button to select the repeat group of days you want to switch on the unit. The groups appear in the order: MO -> TU -> WE -> TH -> FR -> SA -> SU MO TU WE TH FR SA SU -> MO TU WE TH FR -> SA SU -> MO TU WE TH FR SA -> MO WE FR -> TU TH SA -> MO TU WE -> TH FR SA -> MO WE FR SU.
- Press the “HOUR” button to set the hour.
- Press the “MINUTE” button to set the minute.
- Press the “RES/RCL” button to clear/reset the last settings.
- Press the “TIMER” button to move to the next on/off event.
- Repeat steps 4.1 – 4.4.
- Please note: The setting mode is terminated if no button is pressed within 30 seconds. You can also press the “CLOCK” button to exit the setting mode. If you press the HOUR, MINUTE, or TIMER button for more than 3 seconds, the settings will continue at an accelerated pace.
Random Mode (Burglar Protection):
- Activate the RANDOM button at least 30 minutes before the programmed ON time.
- The LCD display will show “RANDOM” to indicate that the RANDOM function is activated.
- Plug the timer into a socket and it is ready for operation.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This product may be used by children from the age of 8 and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and
knowledge, if they have been instructed on the safe use of the product and are
aware of the hazards. Children are not permitted to play with the product.
Children are not permitted to carry out cleaning or care without supervision.
Keep the product and the packaging away from children. This product is not a
toy. Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play
with the product or packaging.
Do not leave the device unattended whilst operating.
Do not expose to potentially explosive environments where there are flammable
liquids, dusts or gases.
Never submerge the product in water or other liquids.
Use only an easily accessible mains socket so that the pro-duct can be quickly
disconnected from the mains in the event of a fault.
Do not use the device if it is wet. Never operate the device with wet hands.
The product may only be used in closed, dry and spacious rooms, away from
combustible materials and liquids. Disregard can result in burns and fires.

Do not cover the product – risk of fire.
Never expose the product to extreme conditions, such as extreme heat/cold etc.
Do not use in the rain or in damp areas.

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION | DISPOSAL
Dispose of packaging after sorting by material type. Cardboard and cardboard
to the waste paper, film to the recycling collection.
Dispose of the unusable product in accordance with legal provisions. The
„waste bin“ symbol indicates that, in the EU, it is not permitted to dispose
of electrical equipment in household waste. Use the return and collection
systems in your area or contact the dealer from whom you purchased the
product.
For disposal, pass the product on to a specialist disposal point for old
equipment. Do not dispose of the device with household waste!
Always dispose of used batteries & rechargeable batteries in accordance with
the local regulations and requirements. In this way you will fulfil your legal
obligations and contribute to environmental protection.

PROPER INTENDED USE
This device is a socket timer that allows you to control the electrical power
of household appliances to save energy.
It has a built-in NiMH battery (non-replaceable) to maintain the programmed
settings. Before use, please connect the unit to a mains socket to charge it
for approx. 5-10 minutes. If the internal battery is no longer charged,
nothing is shown on the display. If the unit is disconnected from the mains,
the internal battery will hold the programmed values for approx. 100 days.

INITIAL USE
- Press the ‚RESET‘ button with a paper clip to clear all settings. The LCD display will show information as shown in figure 1 and you will automatically enter ‚Clock Mode‘ as shown in figure 2.
- You can then proceed to the next step.
SETTING THE DIGITAL CLOCK IN CLOCK MODE
The LCD shows the day, hour and minute.
- To set the day, press the ‘CLOCK‘ and the ‘WEEK‘ buttons simultaneously
- To set the hour, press the ‘CLOCK‘ and the ‘HOUR‘ buttons simultaneously
- To set the minute, press the ‘CLOCK‘ and the ‘MINUTE‘ buttons simultaneously
- To switch between 12-hour and 24-hour mode, press the ‘CLOCK‘ and ‘TIMER‘ buttons simultaneously.
SUMMER TIME
- To switch between standard time and summer time, press and hold the ‘CLOCK‘ button, then press the ‘ON/AUTO/OFF‘ button. The LCD display shows ‘SUMMER‘.
PROGRAMMING THE SWITCH-ON AND SWITCH-OFF TIMES
Press the ‘TIMER‘ button to enter the setting mode for up to 18 switching
times:

Press the ‘WEEK‘ button to select the repeat group of days you want to switch on the unit. The groups appear in the order:
MO -> TU -> WE -> TH -> FR -> SA -> SU MO TU WE TH FR SA
SU -> MO TU WE TH FR -> SA SU -> MO TU WE TH FR SA -> MO
WE FR -> TU TH SA -> MO TU WE -> TH FR SA -> MO WE FR SU. -
Press the ‘HOUR‘ button to set the hour

Press the ‘MINUTE‘ button to set the minute

Press the ‘RES/RCL‘ button to clear/reset the last settings

Press the ‘TIMER‘ button to move to the next on/off event.

Repeat steps 4.1 – 4.4.
Please note:
- The setting mode is terminated if no button is pressed within 30 seconds. You can also press the ‘CLOCK‘ button to exit the setting mode.
- If you press the HOUR, MINUTE or TIMER button for more than 3 seconds, the settings will continue at an accelerated pace.
RANDOM FUNCTION / BURGLAR PROTECTION (RANDOM MODE)
Burglars watch the houses for a few nights to check whether the owners are
really at home. If the lights always switch on and off in the same way to the
minute, it is easy to recognise that a timer is being used.
In RANDOM mode, the timer switches on and off randomly up to half an hour
earlier/later than the assigned on/off setting.
This function only works with AUTO mode activated for programs set between
6:31 pm and 5:30 am the next morning.
- Please set a program and make sure it is within the interval from 6:31 pm to 5:30 am the next morning.
- If you want to set multiple programs to run in random mode, please make sure that the OFF time of the first program is at least 31 minutes before the ON time of the second program.
- Activate the RANDOM key at least 30 minutes before the programmed ON time. RANDOM appears on the LCD indicating that the RANDOM function is activated. Plug the timer into a socket and it is ready for use.
- To cancel the RANDOM function, simply press the RANDOM button again and the RANDOM indicator disappears from the display.
MANUAL OPERATION

- ON: The unit is set to „always ON“.
- AUTO: The unit operates in accordance with the programmed settings.
- OFF: The unit is set to „always OFF“.

NOTE
The timer has a self-protection function. It is automatically reset if any of
the following situations arises:
- Instability of current or voltage
- Poor contact between timer and appliance
- Poor contact of the load device
- Lightning strike
If the timer is automatically reset, please follow the operating instructions
to reprogram it.
The product complies with the requirements from the EU directives.
