Product Information
The Outdoor Mechanical Pin Timer is a device designed for controlling electrical devices and lighting outdoors. It has a vertical mounting position with outlets facing downward, and it should be placed at least 2ft above the ground level. The timer has a maximum rating of 13 Amps and can handle lighting and heavy-duty loads. It features a timer dial, a switch for ON or TIMER control, and an outlet for plugging in lights or devices to be controlled.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Locate an electrical outlet close to the device you want to control.

  2. Push the ON / TIMER switch to the TIMER position and plug the timer into the outlet.

  3. Set the current time by turning the dial clockwise until the arrow indicates the present time. The pins around the dial represent 30-minute increments. The white semicircle indicates 7 am – 6 pm, and the black semicircle indicates 7 pm – 6 am.

  4. To set the desired time period for the timer to be on, lift up the pins around the undesired time period. Pins in the down position represent ON, while pins in the up position represent OFF.
    Note that pins indicated by the arrow cannot be pressed down; rotate the dial to make them work.

  5. Plug your electrical device directly into the timer. Ensure that the device is in the ON state so that the timer can control it properly.

  6. If you want to override the timer operation, set the ON switch to ON. Remember to set the switch back to TIMER for proper timer function.

  7. In case of a blackout, reset the time of day as indicated in step 3 above.

Note: The timer should be stored indoors and unplugged when not in use.   1. The timer must be mounted in a vertical position with the outlets facing downward and at least 2ft above the ground level.
  2. Do not connect any devices which exceed the maximum ratings of the timer.
  3. Do not immerse in water.
  4. Children are not allowed to use the timer without supervision.
  5. Do not disassemble or repair the product, but only by authorized service personnel.
  6. Always unplug and store indoors when not in use.

Installation

This outdoor mechanical timer has 48 pins with 24 hours daily repeat function. A full 13 Amp rating will handle lighting and heavy-duty loads.

Operation Instructions

  1. Locate an electrical outlet that is close to the device you want to control.

  2. Push the “ON / TIMER” switch to the “TIMER” position and plug the timer into the outlet.

  3. Set the current time – Turn the dial clockwise until the arrow indicates to present time.

  4. The pins (slices around the dial) are in increments of 30 minutes. White semicircle stands for 7 am – 6 pm and black semicircle stands for 7 pm – 6 am.

  5. Set your desired time period to keep the timer on by lifting up the pins around the undesired time period. Pins in the down position represent ON and the up position represents OFF.

  6. Plug your electrical device directly into the timer. Make sure the device is in an “ ON ” state so the timer can control it to work properly.
